won't start ?

I put a new dizzy cap and rotor arm on today and tested after fitting them and the car started straight away no problems at all , ten Min's later off to go to work and the car won't start , checked everything i did , i even put the old dizzy back on and still won't start , the HT leads are in the right order ,
any ideas please :shock:

Not thats a good one the b18c4 suffer with dizzy problems could it be that yours a gone at the same time as you have changed the cap . Rich.

hi mate could be the dizzy mate but i would check fuses first , does the fuel rely come on you should hear a click like sound when you turn ignition on , if it is your dizzy have a look in the honda work shop manual it will show you how to test it ok :lol: :lol:

have checked the fuses and their fine , testing the ECU fuse tommos , and the coil , getting a volt meter on it checking everything on it . will start on the dizzy first

Undo the cap and see if anything came loose? Normally alot of people forget about the rotor arm screw...

i did check it again and again , reset the ecu by taking the fuse out as said by the manual

Hi, weve just got a voltmeter on inside the dizzy and found that both the - and the + termanals on the coil are both Live (+) and at about 9v, the black and yellow lead into it is at 11V... second opinion needed, is said coild FUBAR?

Done the coil had gone . replaced and running as normal

Can you get just the coil then as i think my brothers is on the way out as he has done the same as you swapped all the electrical items such as plugs leads cap and arm and he has still got a missfire on light throttle . Rich.

Go to - ingition car parts - on the web they got some new ones for honda £35.00 for the MC2 , and also give you a list of cars that use the same ones , i got mine down the scrappy as i needed one right away , but will buy a new one soon .

I got one from Eurocarparts.com, £13.50 for an ARC one or you can pay £30+ for the make Honda use
