Hey folks looking to solve an issue which ive always had on my mb6 which is now starting to bug me. Car is very difficult to change gears and seems to get worse when hot/after hard drive but can still be a nightmare when out on a normal day out. Had previously been suggested because shifter bush is polly but chap who made my exhaust said that hes dealt with many cars with the same bush pollied and said it should only really take up the slack not make gear changes a nightmare. He thought possibly clutch, but clutch was in about a month after exhaust and theirs no difference at all. The bearing in the short shifter was mentioned along with gearbox issues. Anybody here experienced this or have any knowledge to which direction to go. Dont want to be splashing crazy money on a box and fitment when it may not solve the issue. Many thanks
Just be stances for shows my neighbour does tyres and alignments and all that jazz so every day use be straight as a arrow and for track days then for shows be cambered to the balls
Sounds like a stone stuck between the disc and the crud gard i had it all ya have to do is figure out the which one n jack the car up n spin the wheel backwards till it comes out if not then its the discs n pads
Straight away I'd like to apologise I cannot be arsed to post up pictures of every mod I've done, but here's how it looks after a year and a half of ownership
Well she's home. And driving back home on the b-roads following the advice of staying under 2.5k revs and it looks like he's fitted the wrong sort of hybrid haha
I can easily understand the attraction and addiction to the rapid models Krzys.....must be an age thing because I always drove cars that could perform when asked but I now prefer the softer models.
Anyway, got my car back minus squeak, engine quieter, cam kit fitted.....cushty
Hi guys, you missed me? I finally had motivation to fire up the laptop... haha Big changes in the last 4 months. I taken the engine out to rebuild the whole lot. Work carried out so far.... Cylinder hone Head skim NPR piston rings ACL shells Genuine Honda valve stem seals All the usual gaskets replaced Basically the bare engine has all been rebuilt. Still got loads of bolt on goodies which I will post when all fitted
I believe the EG/EK ones are fork, but I think you'll need the LCA's off the same too so it lines up. One of the others will be along to confirm! @KiNK43 @Grant @Chandler Hoping one of you chaps know!
Went to see how it's going today. Looks good. Slow progress and everything's a mess. But I'm positive it's gonna look awesome. Can't make an omelette without breaking eggs hey. I also want to install gauges. Not really anywhere decent to fit them in an eg. So managed to get my hands on a different centre console. Think it's usdm. This will allow me to relocate my stereo lower. And fit gauges up top. Also ditched the ashtray in favour of phone charger and usb/aux in for the headunit
Aha cheers lads @Jayhoath83 @snakey135 @ammarbm . had some bad news as scrapped my front lip so got to get it sprayed...so tempted to drop the 1.8 in the beast !
