  1. Thought you guys on here would like to see my MB6. Been putting it together for about the last year or so. Started off standard for a couple of weeks, then turbo'd at about 320bhp. Now fully built and running 500 at the wheels or about 570bhp fly. Think that makes it the most powerful in the UK.

I think that with silicon you're relying on the jubilee clip (or similar) to do all the work, whereas with rubber over time it starts to weld itself to the metal, so even if there's a problem with the seal from the clip, the fact that the rubber has joined forces with the metal will save the day. That said, there's plenty of people who've been running silicon hoses without any issues. I've got silicon ones on (for about 9 months I think) and so far so good.

  3. Unfortunately not Dave. Looking on Lings.com shows that they are unavailable. I also checked my local dealer who also cannot source them anymore. I have heard that the silicon ones do not provide a good seal like the rubber ones.
