  1. Started with a little experiments a few months ago, just something to keep me busy in between jobs etc. Started out with an extra stock lid that goes on top of the trunk. Added a piece of plastic to lengthen it, melted it to shape and filled it with expanding foam This was still super experimental, started to cut the foam to shape but to start over since I wasnt satisfied with the basic shape. Also the third brake light position wasnt much to my liking. So back to the drawing board! Felt it was too short to, so I extended it using a Citroen C3 rear wing thingy. This was long enough, so I was off to shaping and smoothing filled everything up, fill, sand, repeat. sprayed some primer on it, more sanding. Tried to use lines to get it as closely symmetrical as I could. Now I needed to fill in the underside too, I've kept the third brake light in its original location. Used foam and glassfibre to create a strong base. Again, loads of sanding and filling to get everything nice and smooth. Almost there! Have to figure out a way to shape the surrounding filler to fit the third brakelight nicely.

  2. Todays repair: As I told some days ago, the crankshaft sensor wyre was a bit cuted and sometimes the check engine light went on, so I welded and end of my issue.

  6. Cheers Dave. Defo worth getting replacements - oem parts like that are only going to get harder to find (well that's my excuse when stockpiling, I mean buying parts.. )

  7. Dont forget the bolts that tight the shifter ball... mines were rusty and got out with all the nut, ended up cutting the plastic section and using another nut and bolt. Also, there are 2 sizes of balls in the shifters. Mines had the small one and bought the big ball shifter, so I ported the hole where this goes to resize and enters perfect. Shifts perfectly

  8. You should be able to get the retainers for DD - in fact I've got a set for the fronts still from euro car parts if you need them? They don't have the spreader ones though, just the ones that seat in the calipers. I've just checked, and my pads haven't got the shims in.
