1. Thanks for the nice comments, she's my baby lol I checked and they do have the allen key hole, but unfortunately, the nuts have rusted solid to the bols so not a hope of shifting them I've spoke to a man in the know (you might all know him! lmao) and he says that the easiest way now would be to basically smash off the actual link, leaving the bolt and nut. This means you can get grips on the bolt and then turn the nut, hopefully itll come off. If not, it'll be easier to cut off with the link rod out the way. Just to show my dedication to keeping her on the road, she's booked into my local garage on tuesday when she comes out the body repair centre! Hope she gets out on time! lol I know the guy who owns the garage, so he's gonna get the drop links off, with me helping lol. All things going to plan, on Tuesday night she should be sporting her new bumper/ rear all fixed, and wearing new drop links all round and new brake pads all round (the rears are fitted ) Cant wait till Tuesday!
2. I hink it might have an allen key hole, now you mention it! I'll have a look tomorrow mate! Ta! 1"£££$££"!!
3. That makes sense, as it will take the load off it any tip for ripping it though, as the bolt is turning along with the nut, so it aint coming off!
4. Correction: I was loaded! lmao Just didnt fancy having to do the links again mate. there a total pain to get off the car! Anyone got any tips?
5. Deff better with oem Jake! The drop links for front and rear are........and you might want to sit down!......£213! My parts guy at the local Honda deaqlership is top banana though, as he gave me a good discount on them so they cost £190. That was for the two front and the two back, plus new nuts aswell. I know it sounds expensive, but i had the same prob when relpacing them on my old mk6 escort........was buying pattern parts and changing them every 6 to 8 months!! Bought genuine ford, and never changed them again! Plus I like having all the genuine honda parts on her too. @Yasar : yep, deff agree mate, more expensive but far better quality, especially more so with Honda. I'm gonna give them a paint before coming down to Donnington hopefully, the fronts are still pretty silver, not bad for the originals eh! The rears have lost the colour, but are still smooth and corrosion free so should paint up really nicely
6. Ok, another wee update. As you all know, the MB6 rear ended by a hit and run driver, so been a shaky time wondering what the outcome would be with insurers etc. I decided, no matter what the insurers say, she aint getting written off! I've even had the parts that might be needed for repair priced up at Honda, so if all else fails, I just wont go through with the claim, and get her repaired myself. So with this in mind, I decided to bash on and get her some new bits! With the mot looming next month, I thought I'd renew all the drop links fron and back, and also replace all the Brake pads too. All parts from Honda of course! New Rear pads in place Tada! finished! Just got to do the drop links now! Had a quick go at freeing the old ones off, but the nuts are just turning with the bolt Gonna be a mare! I've done a "how to change rear brake pads" from the above

Yeah, really pleased with them, a pig to keep clean but just means I get to wash her more often! @ Jon: They are 15's mate, came off a VTiS (Gav_ek4) Would like the 16's though! @ Nik: hehe, lowering will be next, she soooo needs it! @ Adam: That one centre cap is the best thing about them eh! lmao Just waiting on the centre cap stickers arriving. Ordered them ages ago (well, last Monday!) so hoping they come tomorrow. Pee'd off cos I can't buy anymoe stuff cos my paypal is buggered! Seen some nice bits and bobs! Oh, and also bought some goodies from Adam (Jalesi2001) so will be the muts nutz when those are fitted!
14. Cheers Rich! looks better in the metal! Handles alot better on the toyos too so well happy!
15. wow thats a big knob! lmao Had heard these were taking off in japan, but tbh, the only way I cn see them taking off in the uk is if someone throws em! lol Just not my taste, but if you like it then thats what its all about PS: be careful when changing gear mate, theres a wee monster hiding i the cuby hole waiting to attack! lol
16. Thats the first mod i did to my old MA8 civic. Little detail, but makes a difference mate!
17. 10 outta 10! lol Ok, finally got the one thing I've always wanted for ruby since day one...........the VTiS Speedline Chronos. They badly needed refurbed, as they had lots of flaky laquer/paint, and bits of corrosion. Was onna sand and paint them, but in the end thought they deserved better than that so opted to get them professionaly done. They were sand blasted, cleaned then powder coated in white. Honestly, cant believe the finish on them! Basically like brand new wheels! Was bricking it to get tyres on and get them fitted to the car!!. Also got a full set of Toyo T1R's on them, as they is my fav tyre! Really changes the look of the car!!! Lowered and she'll be perfect. Oh, and get the sideskirts on!!! What you think? Still got the drivers side centre cap to paint (thanks to simpo for these, as I somehow managed to lose one!) then fit the Honda "H" decal to them, which will be in red Excuse the state of her in the pics,m she needs a wash!!
18. 16's are a really good size to go for mate, especially on the mb/mc's. Just a nice inbetween size. Hav a look at James "psychodogbeast" mb6, he has 16' vtis style speedlines on it. looks spot on Tyres can be expensive for 16's though, sometimes costing more than for 17' tyres!
19. hehehe nope.................although that is coming soon also! got them, just need painted
20. Hehehehe you've already seen the next mod on the pic I sent to your phone! Thats all starting to happen tomorrow, so hoping wednesday the latest! Cheers for the comments chaps! she's gonna look even better very soon!
