  1. Just an update. We have achieved over $600 in just two days, so thank you very much for any donation. Please keep sharing, and lets beat the $5000 goal. Jerrick
  2. The team at MeisterR offer their deepest condolences to all people affected by Hurricane Harvey. With many people killed and more than 200,000 people left homeless, the Salvation Army are doing all they can to support victims of flooding caused by America’s heaviest rainfall on record. Right now, Salvation Army staff and volunteers are working 24/7 to help communities that have been torn apart by the storm. However, they desperately need funds to help them offer the best support that they can to the hundreds of thousands of people affected. The motoring community is a tight-knit one, and we pride ourselves in helping others in their time of need. MeisterR have created a fundraising page to support the Salvation Army. Please donate what you can: $5, $10, or $50 can help save lives. Donate Here: https://www.gofundme.com/meisterR We will give away a free set of MeisterR ZetaCRD / ZetaCRD+ coilovers to a random donator on September 22, 2017. So share the news, donate and support, plus a chance for a free set of coilovers, WIN WIN. Jerrick
  3. A video of the final run that got us our 3rd place finish. Took 3rd place by 0.064 seconds, it was very close racing. Hope you guys enjoy watching the run. Jerrick
  4. Yea, it was not an easy event at all. We are all very happy with the result, especially the first time around. The quote of the day for me was from a Co-driver of another S2000 who was also using the prototype spec ZetaCRD. He is an auto-solo veteran also, and normally drive a 911 GT3 to auto-solo event. I spend Saturday helping them setup, and so Sunday they got a few clean run with my recommended damping setting. He came over at the end of the day and told my teammate: “$20,000 car, $1,000 suspension, handles better than my $100,000 GT3.” That made my day. Jerrick
  5. So the past weekend we attended our first National Auto-Solo event. The 2017 Tire Rack College Station Championship Tour, and it was certainly an experience. https://www.scca.com/articles/2005718-2017-tire-rack-college-station-championship-tour-event-recap Our team went into the competition feeling pretty confident, until we went to the grid and check out the competition's cars. The top runners are using the Honda S2000 Club Racer edition, that is a limited run of 699 cars designed with aero package and soft top removed to reduce weight. Only the CR are allow to run without the soft top, as the class rules state what came on the car in factory trim must stay; and looking at their engine bay you can see how well their cars were prepared. Most are using the PasswordJDM carbon fibre intake, and a few cars was running Moton Clubsport 2-way adjustable coilovers; that is only what you can see. In contrasts, we have a pretty standard 2007 Honda S2000 with 90,000 miles on the clock. The only mods were a K&N intake, Invidia exhaust, Eibach front anti-roll bar, and MeisterR ZetaCRD coilovers in our prototype race specification. Even our ECU was standard and unmapped... so you can imagine how our confidence drop "slightly " after seeing what we were up against. Most were using the same tyres, the new BFGoodridge Rival S... so that mean we were on even ground at least on that part. But never mind, this is our 1st national event so it was just to see where we sit outside of the Houston region. The STR Class we are competing in have a total of 17 drivers, many are experienced veteran at national event. Our driver is 21 years old Landon Thompson (who is getting a lot of stick up and down the grid because of his age), but it was all good fun. Overall, the competition was great and environment was friendly; but you know it is a competition and people are serious and there to win when you speak with a few. So at the end of the two day race, we end up just edging out for a 3rd place trophy finish out of 17 drivers. Considering how under prepared our car was and it’s our first national attempt, we were all very happy about the result. So that is it from MeisterR's team and our first national event, we came home with a blue cap (trophy winner) and a big meal at the end of the day. We will continue to improve the car to bring it to a more competitive trim, and can only hope or better result in the next event. It was a great weekend, just want to share our excitement and our result. Jerrick
  6. MeisterR made a lot of changes in 2016, and I am sure many of our members have done a lot to their car also. We want to get some fresh update for 2017, and we want to see what members have to say about their MeisterR coilovers. We would like some pictures (with a MeisterR sticker preferred ) for our gallery and reviews of the coilovers from members who have used them, both new and old. It would also be easier to have everything under a single thread to aid members doing their own research. So if you have pictures of your car on MeisterR coilovers, please post them and write a short review of what you think of them. 1. Name: (If you want to provide it) 2. Location: (Town or County) 3. Car Make / Model / Specific Info: (Trim / Packages / Other Mods) 4. MeisterR Coilovers Model: (ZetaCRD, ZetaCRD+, GT1 etc) 5. Short Review: a. Performance on Road: b. Performance on Track: c. Value for Money: d. Would you buy again: e. Any Personal Note: 6. Pictures: Please attach any pictures you have of your car that you want to show the world. 7. Video: If you have any video of your car in action on YouTube / Vimeo, please attach link to video. Thank you for everyone's help and I look froward to some pictures and reviews. As usual, we are available if you have any questions; just drop us a PM of there are anything we can help. MeisterR do appreciate everyone's help, and thank you for member's continue support. Edwin / Jerrick
  7. Just to say if you want coilovers, the MeisterR ZetaCRD will do the job. it is also design for the MB chassis, and that mean you get correct range of ride height adjustment. The rear coilovers are also design with a interchangeable bracket. What that mean is you can use EG rear lower control arms and everything will bolt straight in, no messing about. Jerrick
  8. A short video from MeisterR sponsored driver Michael Marshall (2013 British Drift Championship Champion) We ask him to explain how the MeisterR coilovers adjustments works in a simple and easy to understand way. A few shots of how the MeisterR GT1 are build, as well as his latest BMW E92 M3 drift car in action included. We hope this will be useful information for everyone. Enjoy… Jerrick
  9. We are still working on the 2016 prices, but we updated the RPF1 list price for 2016. You can see them here: http://enkei-uk.com/UKprice/RPF1priceUK.pdf The 10% discount forum offer is still running, so take 10% off the listed price and that will be your price.Price include UK mainland delivery as well as VAT. Any other questions, please feel free to let us know. Jerrick
  10. SBC and Gold are in selected size, but for the size that they are available we try to keep most of them in. At least I know 17x8 ET45 and 17x9 ET45 in SBC are both in stock (as seen on the S2000 above). Jerrick
  11. RPF1 is one of those wheels that I think looks good on any car. It is much like the Rays TE37… just a wheel design that seems to suit anything. Jerrick
  12. Anyone can, with a minimum order of 40 wheels and a 4 month production time. Yea, it is crap. i say that to them but the Japanese goes with we either have it or we don't. There is always RPF1, and it isn't a bad wheel at all. Jerrick
  13. Yep, got them. 17x8J ET45, 17x9J ET45, available in silver, black, gold, and SBC (chrome). One of our customers with SBC. Jerrick
  14. I just want to give an advance notice that we have now secured a deal with Enkei International as their official UK distributor. We are in the middle of reviewing the 2016 prices.Expect price to drop across the board from the current RRP. We will also offer discount to forum members. As always, £0 down 0% interests free financing is also available. So if you want some nice shoe for 2016, might want to start thinking about RPF1 or PF01. Jerrick
  15. Just to post up the latest update on this. Lucio have finish 1st place at Race 10 also. As you notice, there is only 3 competitors this round because they are the main challenger to the championship. With this 1st place finish, Lucio will lead into Race 11 and Race 12 on December 5th/6th at the Royal Purple Raceway in Baytown, Houston. However, it will be very tight as there is less then single place worth of points between the 3 competitors. So who ever do the best in the next two rounds will take home the championship trophy as no one has a big lead at all. We will report back with some news, hopefully it will be gold but there are no guarantee in racing. Jerrick
  16. Khumo do some nice stuff today... The V70A seems to get proven over and over again to be a very capable tyre. Jerrick
  17. Well, here is the finale: 90HP MX-5 + MeisterR Zeta-R Coilovers + Kumho V70A (185 R14) Base Lap time: 9:21 Final Lap time: 8:39 That is right, the coilovers and tyres knock a WHOPPING 42 seconds off the lap time! This 8:39 lap time tie the 90HP RingBanana MX-5 with a standard 240hp Honda S2000 driven by Horst von Saurma according to the Nurburgring lap time record… Enjoy the video. https://youtu.be/EvToQblt29Y Jerrick
  18. Just an update on this as we just had Race 9. I am happy to report that Lucio have taken 1st place in Class. There is 12 race in the season, so we will see how the end of the year go.The last race will be on December 6th.We hope for a podium finish in the championship, will see how it goes. Jerrick
  19. Hopefully we get some good weather for the on the last run with a combo of MeisterR and new tyres
  20. The latest episode from the Ring Banana is out… and talk about shocking (Pun intended). We all know that tyres has one of the biggest influence on the performance of a car, as they are the only thing that touches the ground. The Ring Banana set the base lap time of 9:21 around the Nurburg Ring, then knock 22 seconds off to 8:59 by changing out the 10 years old tyres to a set of semi-slick tyres. The goal of getting a sub 9 minutes lap around the Nurburg Ring with the 90 hp Mazda Miata / MX-5 was shattered on the first try. In an interests to find out how much difference will just the MeisterR coilovers make, they install the coilovers, do the alignment, and put the 10 years old road tyres back on for another go. We expected maybe a 10 seconds improvement, but nothing prepare us for the 27 seconds improvement that the coilovers provided! That is a 8.54 lap around the Green Hell with a set of 10 years old road tyres!!! Shocking performance from the new shocks! Full in car lap video can be found here: https://youtu.be/UpFi0dfRnUM Jerrick
  21. That was always the focus of the MeisterR Zeta-S / Zeta-R coilovers. Fast road usage with occasional track days. Just in USA, the fast road is straight, and there aren't many tracks. But compliancy is needed because the "joint" on the freeway can be salvage at 70mph. 1 hour of that on rock hard suspensions will be painful. Jerrick
  22. The result are in, and it was very close racing! Lucio finish the day 3rd in the SCCA STR class the fastest time of 53.244, only 0.012 second behind 2nd place! The first 3 place in the class was separated by less than 0.2 seconds... Lucio time also made him the fastest S2000 of the day, with a 13th overall in raw time.Pretty respectable considering he is only 6.5 seconds behind the 1st place, and that was a fully prep Racing Go-Kart. Another interesting thing was we had 2 driver that day using the same car.Lucio was number 14 who finish 3rd, and Landon who was number 114 and finished 4th.It was interesting to see as both driver have different preference, so both found the best suspension setting that suit their driving style. They also tired out each other suspension setting to give a comparison but it was Lucio who was just a little faster in the end.The next car down is almost 2 seconds behind, so the front runner are fast compare to the rest of the group. Objective Result As Auto Solo track layout changes at every event, it is difficult to compare raw track time. The best way to compare is to use average time between driver who attended both event, so that is what we will do. In SCCA, each time you hit a cone you add 2 seconds penalty to your total time.Lucio time in round 7 was 55.297 after a 4 second penalty, so his raw track time was 51.297 which would of place him in 3rd place in the STR class. We will use the raw time for comparison. Round 7 (raw time 51.297)STR class average: 53.76 (beat average by 2.46 seconds).Total average: 56.65 (beat average by 5.35 seconds). Round 8 (raw time 53.244)STR class average: 55.90 (beat average by 2.65 seconds).Total average: 58.93 (beat average by 5.68 seconds). Difference between round 7 and round 8STR class average: 0.19 seconds improvement Total Average: 0.33 seconds improvement So all in all, an improvement but wasn’t catastrophic. The biggest difference was getting 3 clean runs in round 8 vs no clean run in round 7. The clean run make a huge difference to the final result.Lucio was ranked 13th overall in round 8, but ranked 65th overall in round 7 just to show the difference. Subjective Feedback Getting feedback from Lucio after the end of the day, here is what he have to say: The car was tested on the street and the 90% of the set up was clean, the remaining 10% set up are based on driver preference. It was cool to see how Landon and I were able to select different set up to suit our driving preference on the same car, and really show how much difference a few clicks on the damper made to the overall dynamic. My driving is pretty aggressive and I was able to maintain the car ON the track with just one penalty on the first run Vs the previous race where I was not able to obtain a clean run in the all day. Adjusting the suspension to a softer setting for the 45 minute drive home was also impressive.I was not used to have a comfortable feeling in this car and at one point I visually checked the tire's pressure to see if everything was fine. The best proof was my 16 years old daughter in the passenger seat who does not have a lot of experience in sport car felt comfortable enough to take a nap during the driving home. Overall, it has been a big improvement and I am please with the result. Conclusion So that is it, an improvement but not a huge amount as expected.Auto-Solo only give about 60 seconds worth of track time and speed aren’t fast, so a lot of importance are place on the tyres and how much traction it can generate. The S2000 never made it out of second gear on the day, and this type of tight track favour the lighter MX5 / Miata. To be able to keep up with cars that is 500lbs lighter is quite an impressive achievement given the fact that there aren’t enough “straight” to allow the S2000 to use it’s upper power band. I hope this was an interesting read, and we certainly enjoy the experience working with the driver.3rd place finish aren’t back, but we will hope to see 1st place in the future. Jerrick
  23. Just to say I got the date wrong, the auto solo event is actually tomorrow. So i should have some result once everything are updated with SCCA. One thing I do want to mention is that DO NOT TAKE THE RESULT TOO SERIOUSLY… It is meant to be a light hearted fun exercise, I am not out to prove MeisterR or Bilstein. There are still a lot of variable, and it is still subjective one way or the other. Some feel that I was out with an agenda, and really that wasn't the case.I would of wait until the result are in before I post anything if it was to ensure MeisterR is better. I post this up before the event, and will post the result whatever it isMeisterR being faster or slower makes no difference to me. That is it, I will report back once result are in. Jerrick
  24. Yep, drop us an E-mail at info@meisterr.co.uk and Edwin will sort you out. Jerrick
  25. Well, if it is a skyline you are in good hand. I have been using them for quite a few years now. Well, we don't know… but don't take it too seriously. I thought it would be fun to see, but it doesn't prove anything. After all, there are many variable… it is just a case of a little tease and little fun. I don't know actually. I have seen a few guys asking for springs rate and damper part number, and I haven't heard back from them. I have a few German ask for details for "single TUV approval", but again I don't know much with regards to regulation of different European countries. Jerrick
