  1. I'm in need of a bit of advice, I've recently had a spare engine rebored from 81mm to 81.5mm will a standard headgasket still fit and do the job? Or will I need to have a custom one made up?
  2. Well I've put a deposit down on the wheels :D and the rest will be payed on Thursday!! Now I'm debating weather to leave them this colour or spray the centres black and the rims cherry red
  3. 96 I think whichever the 4x114.3 are haha. I could be getting some deep dish on Thursday though just waiting on a reply
  4. Was thinking some deep dish or dc2 alloys rather than VTi s buddy. Cheers for the comments I'm quite happy with how the badge turned out. Going to do the same with the rear at some point this week.
  5. Quick update: Japspeed 4-1 manifold. Just need a decat or sports cat to go with it managed to get a couple of cosmetic jobs done today as well: Next on the list is a sports/ decat and some new wheels
  6. Yeh I'm thinking japspeed manifold, some sort of sport cat and a decent centre pipe. I might keep the standard back box so it's not to deep a tone. I like to hear vtec sound like it's screaming rather than barking haha!
  7. I just stumbled across a headlight restoration kit from a parts shop I'll try and dig it out of the garage and find out the make. Yeh I am going to put a new exhaust on it I just wanted it on the road quick so I just went for a cheap quick fix I have been looking for a new system but don't want it to be too big and loud.
  8. Ok so some people will have seen my MB6 in the new members section, but as I've returned from holiday and started to work on it I thought if start a build thread. It's going to take a while to get it to where I want it to be as I'm in the middle of moving house and I don't think the missus will be happy with me spending too much money on the car haha! So.. As up to now my main focus was to get her road worthy When I got her she was in need of a new battery with being stood for 3 years! But fired up first time with the jump leads like it had never been left! The car had only covered 53k with FSH and MOT's to back it up. The first thing I did was stick a new battery in only to find out that the alternator had died. And if anybody has changed an alternator on an MB6 then you'll know how much of a fiddly job it can be. Once I'd changed the alternator and battery I thought I'd take it for a test drive to see if I could find anymore problems and the first thing I noticed was the exhaust blowing it's a*s off! After I'd removed the old centre pipe it pretty much just fell to pieces so I just replaced it with a new standard centre section The second thing I noticed was when I tried to stop :-/ it was like my break peddle was spongebobs head! Which was a result of the front offside caliper being seized. With these few bits being fixed the car was good to go and passed it's mot first time RESULT!! Since then I've cleaned up the headlights Before: After: And swap the old rocker cover for a full polished one Before: After: And that's where I'm up to so far (apart from changing pollen filter and blower resistor) I've got a lot of plans for this car and can't wait for it to be finished it's only money that's slowing me down haha!
  9. Nice job you've done so far mate. How long did the headlights take to do? I wouldn't mind doing that to mine
  10. Are you thinking engine mods? I'd say a b-series conversion is a must you can find the c4's for a good price (y)
