    Bits and bobs

    Coil overs etc. : http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Spares-Civic-Integra-Crx-S2000-Type-R-Vti-Ek-Eg-Dc2-Ek9-Ep3/261930886517?_trksid=p2047675.c100013.m1986&_trkparms=aid%3D333008%26algo%3DRIC.MBE%26ao%3D1%26asc%3D20140812075547%26meid%3D062f6357c15449bfbe9b27f363bdbd72%26pid%3D100013%26rk%3D3%26rkt%3D29%26sd%3D161574208370
  4. Certainly sounds like a high tension electrical fault.....could also be a cam sensor on the blink It being an intermittent fault means you should start examining basics like the distributor cap and leads for tracking or hairline cracks or signs of water spray If you do manage to check your car over whilst the car is misfiring it's going to be an awful lot easier.......the leak you spoke of could well be the culprit ? The possibilities are endless so hopefully somebody with good Honda engine specific knowledge chirps up.....like you mentioned.......may well be a known fault. Let us know how you go.
  5. Considering your infrequent use and the way you rev the car....I'd recommend a 5/40 quality oil. Most of my journeys are less than 2 or 3 miles therefore I'll also be using 5/40

    Central locking relay?

I'm unsure where the non keyless control unit/relay is sited (probably sited in one of the front doors ?) Anyway, your problem is more likely to be a sticking or faulty door lock mechanism. You could try slamming doors individually whilst a helper keeps trying to lock the car with the key. Good luck
  7. I voted for the winner but the windscreen sticker threw me a little.

    Hi I'm new

    Welcome aboard
  9. Hi Arran, I agree with Tom and Andy, it's a minute seepage that's probably down to a rocker cover gasket.........you could try tightening the rocker cover a tad and maybe use some Gunk to shift the mess. Once your engine is clean it'll be easier to identify the root cause. Good luck and let us know how you go.
  10. Sure, I'll upload an image in the not too distant future......you'll see it's been repaired but it's a nice tidy repair.

    Best Tyres?

I always found Uniroyal's brilliant in the wet
  13. Upon inspection......my drivers side hinge has been repaired in the past.......lovely neat workmanship
  14. Tom, it's got a few minor flaws that could easily be addressed by a Detailer but I couldn't be bothered because London cars are always prone to knocks and bumps.....and one of our neighbours parks by ear Granted, it looks perfect in the image but perfect it ain't......I spent a fair bit on tightening up the undercarriage components but I now have a car that's as good as it can be given it's age and mileage I aim to run this wee auto for 3 years.....least that's the plan.
  15. DD is a credit to you Dave The last cars I modified were current Cortina 1600E's and a Dolly Sprint (I'm in my mid 50's) but I do love spotting very well maintained older cars especially if their not over modified. Good luck to you and DD :)
  16. Nice tidy example Micha.....good luck with the intended work
  17. I amended the link in my 2nd post..........this is what I meant to post : http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-how-requests-questions-tips/114931-how-install-spark-plug-anti-foulers-remove-ses-cel-light.html A friend sourced and fitted http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/LAMBDA-O2-OXYGEN-SENSOR-EXTENDER-SPACER-FOR-DECAT-HYDROGEN-M18-Stainless-Steel-/170909875264 Worked a treat
  18. Not having a long funnel is all that's holding my fluid change up....lol
  19. Looks like you're good to go
  20. Whilst on the subject of Lambda's............Modders , Tuners or folk with a naff CAT may be interested in this downstream spacer : http://www.evolutionm.net/forums/evo-how-requests-questions-tips/114931-how-install-spark-plug-anti-foulers-remove-ses-cel-light.html It'll get rid of the pesky CEL and allow you to reset your fuel values.
  21. You know how it goes.....your Check Engine Light illuminates.....you switch it off or have a mechanic do it for you.......it comes on again within a few hundred miles or actually stays on after clearing the troublesome code.....so you fit an affordable universal Lambda sensor only to find you still have problems (for some strange reason Honda's don't get on with cheap universal sensors). A Honda sensor will cost circa £200 + (silly money to spend on an ageing car).....whilst researching Civics I came across these OE Denso oxygen sensors : http://www.micksgarage.com/search.aspx?fffBrand=Denso&fffDepartment=Lambda%20Oxygen%20Sensors&fffMake=honda&fffBasemodel=honda%20civic&fffModelDescription=civic%20mk%20iv%20hatchback%201994%20to%202001&ffftd_car=1.4%20i%20(ma8)&fffBHP=90 I'm not affiliated to the above Company in any way but I will be sourcing a Lambda from 'em if ever needed in the future.
