  2. Hello everyone, put this off for sometime as wanted to get a few things done and sorted before starting this thread.Where to start, well I bought my Mb2 nearly two years ago from a neighbour who was going to part exchange the car in so had it for £200 bargain really as they're an elderly couple and had the car from new, garaged it and only had 65k on the clock. After I bought her and the keys were handed over, that's where the fun started!First thing I did was buy some his lights which made a big difference, they are some Chinese brand but have been on 2 years now. Next was some fogs with another hid kit on, I just couldn't justify paying prices of the second hand fogs for the car. After saving up some more I bought some 17" alloys which I have just taken off due to hopefully getting some 15" BBS ones. After that I thought to take some attention to under the hood. A induction kit has been added which just made it sound meatier, not so sure about performance. Then got a few bargains. Bought a front and rear brace both for £10! Tried to make the back brace look as pretty as I could by cutting part of the carpet out the back , as I'm not the best at making things look neat Biggest and the best mod I've done has got to be my coilovers got them off Matt who's Mb sadly died.Along when purchasing his coilovers I also bought blacked out headlights and his black grill..all this was great and Matt is such a top lad! All that fitted and she is looking mighty fine. Then I made a trip to to get a silver vti-s kit which set me back £60! I know what a bargain! The bad points which I've finally got the ball rolling are the back arches, for some reason even though the couple who owned KT before garaged her , the arches are eaten away so getting those sorted in the upcoming months.and finally slight paint flaking on my back bumper but all in all everything else is rosey. Could anyone give me some ideas for some engine mods? I have been thinking of a swap but don't know if worth it? Let me know !!! Thanks and will try and update as often as possible
  3. Has anybody fitted a in dash dvd player, Flip out screen? Just seeing how they look in the dash
  4. Spotted a clean civic mb in pirates black. Different alloys and was a Y reg so one of the last ones. Had a bit of fun with it on the Gladsmuir to Haddington road (I was in my MX5). Anyone from here?
  5. Hi guys, I new the the civic game, any advice is welcome! Looking for parts so drop a comment and SHOW ME WHAT YOU GOT! Hope you like my mb3 put the shoes on her last night!
  6. I have decided to start a new thread instead of adding it to my old one. After going for so long with out my MA8 that I loved I have finally found a replacement to continue my story with I have been searching for years for one the same colour it has taken me a while to find one, but now I finally have another MA and I’m so happy Ihave missed owning one of these special cars I traveled all the way to Kent from Birmingham to buy this car and I must say she’s a good un I’m the 3rd owner and she has service history etc.I’m going to try and make her look like my old MA8 pictures to follow soon
  7. Has anyone here bought new aftermarket front fenders for their MB6? Or just got used ones from scrap yard etc. ? I was wondering if the aftermarket ones fits directly or if there are any seam gaps, if the headlight and bonnet fit to it properly etc. Things that can go wrong. Diederichs makes them but couldn't find those. I got myself Polcar ones. https://catalog.polcar.com/#!KatKatalogGlowny/fender-front-381102/492184 Should i try fitting them first before getting them painted at a shop? I was thinking of putting them on later in spring. But could get them painted already. Any bodypanel/exterior info would be welcome in this forum. Considering aftermarket parts especially.
  8. IkyMB1

    Ebay coilovers

Hi just wanted to know if these coilovers would fit my mb1 sr and if they would be worth it? https://rover.ebay.com/rover/0/0/0?mpre=https%3A%2F%2Fwww.ebay.co.uk%2Fulk%2Fitm%2F303026025496
  9. i think its time to start my project thread i brought my civic MA8 1.4is in february its my first car! I chose the 1.4 because of the low insurance group as I'm 21 (but ended up being over 3K!!) I have always loved these civics, I was looking for one for a while in a good colour, but I found this one in a rare colour (Phantom Grey) and i picked it up for a price I couldn't refuse with a bit of tax and mot the car is mechanically sound but the previous owner didn't look after the body work to well but the old civic is in good hands now and will be forever as I'm never geting rid of her, I am going to be doing a fair bit of work on her from the ground up with an engine conversion coming at some point.. I've settled for a (D16w4 it's the same as the Y8 and Y2) but the engine is now fitted, I will turbo it soon This is how the car looked when i brought it
  10. Browsing ebay and found this. Looks amazing condition with only 18.000 miles on the clock, two owners from new. Very hard to find one like this, but don't think I could justify.........£6495 for an MB6! Still, would love to own this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Civic-1-8-VTI-Very-Low-Mileage-ONLY-18K-Service-History-Lot-of-paperwork/233074530457?hash=item3644531899:g:VQUAAOSwTY9buQTO:rk:4:pf:0 Pic of the car

  13. Hi everyone! I want to change all rear lights (blinker, reverse, brake, fog) to LED bulbs and also do the jdm style lights. What LEDs would fit best? if you have any night pics with LEDs post here! And for jdm tail light conversion, i would have to get other fog light loom or i just need the bulb holder? Thank you! 15. Hello, friends. Was changing engine oil on my Civic MB3 the other day and noticed the pipe between the air filter and the engine has a little hole. The car is fine to drive and never had problems with it but I don't like that thing over there. It's the tube of number 6. All the sites where they sell this tube have it discontinued so I guess I won't find it to buy, and even If i could it seems expensive. So is there a way to seal that hole? Or should I try to find one at a scrapyard? Thanks.
  16. Our cars are getitng older now. In fact, although they should be supporting them until 25yrs of age, even Honda seem to be running out of basic parts even. As an example, front brake components. Calipers, carriers etc. My front brakes have had some TLC over the past few years to keep them legal for MOT, but every time i dismantle them, i realise what an awful state they're in, with all the rust etc. I have taken a very relaxed look around on the net from time to time to try and see if I could source new ones (carriers especially) and it shocks me to find that this is impossible it seems. REALLY!!!??? Is this REALLY the case!?
  17. Hello to anyone reading Meet Gladys, a lovely 1999 Civic with only 87k on the clock Looking for nice easy modifications to help get some of the power back that would have been lost over the years? After having 2 owners from new it's safe to say she has never seen a modification and it's always been a thing of mine and having a Civic. Will be posting new things that are done if anyone would be interested in seeing its progression as it goes from ultra standard to hopefully a head turner for the right reasons, also she will have neons. If you're not a fan then here is the pre-warning on that. Car never came with a luxurious interior, well cream WAS a thing in the 90's. Not so much now :/ Happy for any advice to be given as long as it's not a hater type of opinion. Stay open minded Hoping to meet you guys in the near future! Thanks
  18. Stock Civic Aerodeck. Manufactured in 1999 and has now completed 130,000 miles
  19. Handy if you need to replace your abs sensors. Much much cheaper than Honda sell them for! Around £40 odd quid each. Thanks to Dr_Broon for this one! Mick's garage. https://www.micksgarage.com/d/abs-sensors/honda/honda-civic/civic-vi-estate-1998-to-2001/1-8-16v-mc2-169-1797/products

  21. As you all probably know iv bought burbleboys vti-s and very happy with it glad to be back in a Honda. Plans are to just drive it for a while as it's already sorted, save for a turbo kit next summer (possibly!) taking fly-eyes off as there just not my thing.
  22. hi all, time to make a start on my project thread. Been lurking a couple of months gathering parts and doing some research, and getting bored with the stock 100,000 mile tired old mb6 so it's time to pull my finger out and start modding. Parts so far: Ebay coilovers powerflex bushings various hard parts (tie rods etc.) plastic whales p***s new ht leads and dizzy cap/rotor bosch battery 4-1 ebay manifold drilled & grooved discs with mintex pads buddy club p1 16x7j wheels with toyo t1r's kenwood head unit, kenwood 10'' sub and jbl amp misc fluids etc. I have a set of new old stock itr pistons (pr3) and a 98 type r cylinder head (p72) with valves and springs but no cams. I plan on doing a full rebuild and hi comp N/A build in the future but for now i just want to get the car lightly modded and sitting right, work out the issues. Been hit with health problems recently so i'm not going to be overseas working for a coupla months which sucks so moneys gonna be tight but i will have plenty of time. Lucky for me i have a decent sized workshop with full sized pit with overhead beam and hoist, just need to get off my a*s and get it cleared out properly, nearly there. You'll be seeing plenty of pics over the next few weeks anyway so looking forward to you guys feedback along the way. Lets do this. mb6 with it's little brother S205OBY wheel choice voltmeter sounds will upload more pics soon
