  1. Ok, when parked up, how long does your battery stay charged in your Civic M? Let us know below! Also include whether you have an after market alarm turned on or not too. Know these cars seem to not like being left parked up with the battery connected for long periods of time, but looking to see what the average park up period is on them before the battery goes flat. And is it just a myth that it is the little clock in the dash that drains it? Use template below (copy/paste) Battery lasts: Alarm on?: Any extra info:
  2. A quick one this month folks as we're running a bit behind with the competitions. Get the cars you would like to see win entered now!! You can enter another members civic or even your own. Lets see em! Entry time is until Friday, then voting will start and finish on Sunday
  3. I would like to know if it will be possible to fit on the MB6 Hood and front bumper onto my MA8. I've noticed there are significantly more parts for the MB6, and then more there's the front lip that I think I wouldn't be able to put onto my MA8. I'm worries there might be conflict with the lights or other parts of the body. And that MB6 bumper is quite sexy. Pictured my white ma8, someone elses (who's probably here on civic5) mb6
  4. Hi my name is Jordan and I'm from Bulgaria! Glad to be part of this site. 2008! When I bought it! 2009! New tires + rims! 2010! Bad things .... But we're back in the game ..... Much Love! 2010! New set of tires and wheels! This time 15 " 2011! Nothing special! 2012! Good year so far ....Lot of work on the car. Refresh the brakes (new discs and pads) in the blue paint. Refreshing the wiper arms, side mirrors, front grille. Cleaning of the dirt side skirts. Oil Change and supplies ...... And this hook already blue. What do you think guys! Not the most beautiful here, but my love. For the future ..... Wing Integra DC2, suspension, motor and many others.
  5. So, I saw this on ebay a while ago, and can't get my head around it for some reason. https://www.ebay.de/itm/114228513404 Am I imagining it that this isn't there as standard? There's the little rubber strip round the lip of the arch, then beyond that it's just treated metal unlike the front arches?
  6. Hello Any idea if these rover fogs will fit into my mb1?
  7. Time for this months competition. Enter the civic you want to see win COTM. It can be any members civic or even your own, all are welcome! Remember to add a photo of the car, and a link to its topic/project thread in members cars. Lets see them folks!!

  9. So I was removing the front bumper of my mb1 to get to my fogs and noticed there's no safety bar. Is this normal or is it missing?
  10. Hi, I have recently bought a 1996 N reg MA9 which I really like, has been lightly modded but I'd like it as stock as possible seeing as it is the eco model (already very impressed with the MPG for something so old, has done over 200 miles on 20quid of fuel) It has some kind of cheap aftermarket induction kit installed. Does anyone know where I can source a stock airbox for cheap? Or if anyone knows any other models that use the same airbox, can't find on internet (seems pointless having an induction kit on the economy vtec-e d15z3 engine and the MOT is soon and don't want it to fail on emissions)

  13. Ok, I'm always telling new members to get a project thread going, so thought I'd better put in mine! So, the brief.... Bought the civic from my wife when she got her aerodeck, she was the 2nd owner. It had full FHSH, and 32'000 miles on the clock! Had it for around 4 years now (she had owned it for a year) As bought, completely standard First mod was to change the rear lights, as I hated the orange indicators. So changed to later style MB lights Then I turned to the interior. Luckily for me, my wife got me a brand new, still in the box, OEM leather interior! Trouble was, it was the actual leather lit itself, from Honda, and I had to retrim all my seats by hand!! Nightmare! Well worth the effort though. Aslo fitted a cd player, JVC, then followed that with another JVC which played MP£ aswell and had a funky display, but that broke so opted for a pioneer this time. The difference in sound quality is wicked, and this one does mp3/wav etc, and has input sockets on the front Upgraded the speakers to Sony Xploads (utter rubbish they are) anyways, the interior Next, I got a rear boot spoiler for it, and at the same time, changed the rear bumper to the later style MB civic. Again, I just prefered the shape compared to MA civics, and it tied in with the rear lights I got bored with the original 14" alloys, and wanted some 15"jordan style alloys. Could'nt find a set at the time, so opted for a brand new set of wolfrace excites, with 195/50/15 tyres. These look similar so was chuffed. Also fitted a genuine Honda sunroof wind deflector, for a bit of the JDM look lol. Also fitted one to Dawns aerodeck Then it was the brakes, and although it was never gonna be fast, I wanted it's brakes to be good! Fitted Black Diamond Grooved/vented front discs, with B/D predator pads. These were ok for a bit, but the predator pads were really poor. Changed them to ferodo, and now it stops perfect! Then i thought, the centre caps really spoiled the look of the wheels, so changed them to proper Honda ones Much better Now to the front bumper, which has been buggin me. The car came with half colour coded bumpers, which meant the bottom half was just black plastic, which I hated. So, decided to fully colour code them, as I had just bought a new gun for my compressor Also replaced the grill with a new one, as the old one was perished and the chrome was perished too, and fitted MB6 H/light washers, which I think change the look of the MA big time at the front So, not got any recent pics up appart from these I took after a good clay and polish on the civic and the aerodeck Plans are.. Respray bonnet as it's a replacement one which is white! Colour code the bump strips, mirrors. Fit the VTI rear spoiler I have (with brake light) Fit the vti (standard) front lip I have Lower it Fit front window wind deflectors Fit the original MA front fogs I got for it

  17. Browsing autotrader to see just how many civic Ms are still out there for sale and stumbled across this! Pre facelift civic M with.............14K on the clock and in pristine condition!!! Looks like it just rolled out the factory!! 7 Price seems high, but that just looks so mint. I wouldn't want to mod it, has to stay as is imo. Autotrader link

  21. I have decided to start a new thread instead of adding it to my old one. After going for so long with out my MA8 that I loved I have finally found a replacement to continue my story with I have been searching for years for one the same colour it has taken me a while to find one, but now I finally have another MA and I’m so happy Ihave missed owning one of these special cars I traveled all the way to Kent from Birmingham to buy this car and I must say she’s a good un I’m the 3rd owner and she has service history etc.I’m going to try and make her look like my old MA8 pictures to follow soon
  22. Hi guys, so my Mb2 is going to be turning 20 very soon this year So one of the jobs I’m wanting to do is replacing all major bushings etc. I’ve just never done this before and have no idea what bushes are on the car, front suspension and back. Also where can I get all the right parts and how much is it going to cost approximately? Trailing arm bushes badly need doing, also sure I’ve heard the front anti roll bar knocking, rear LCA bushes could do with replacing as well. Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated!
  23. i think its time to start my project thread i brought my civic MA8 1.4is in february its my first car! I chose the 1.4 because of the low insurance group as I'm 21 (but ended up being over 3K!!) I have always loved these civics, I was looking for one for a while in a good colour, but I found this one in a rare colour (Phantom Grey) and i picked it up for a price I couldn't refuse with a bit of tax and mot the car is mechanically sound but the previous owner didn't look after the body work to well but the old civic is in good hands now and will be forever as I'm never geting rid of her, I am going to be doing a fair bit of work on her from the ground up with an engine conversion coming at some point.. I've settled for a (D16w4 it's the same as the Y8 and Y2) but the engine is now fitted, I will turbo it soon This is how the car looked when i brought it
  24. What pressies did your modern classic get for Christmas? Let's see them here! Mindy my MK1 MX5 got nice stainless steel will covers courtesy of my wife Gayle. Carly Cooper (my gen 2 MINI) got two new rear brake calipers, pads and sensors (cos the brakes went on Christmas Eve!) Will add a pic of those later. DD my Honda Civic Aerodeck got a promise from me to renew her front caliper and get her mot, plus possibly some paintwork in the spring/summer.
