  1. Hello all! After a long time thinking of what build i want to go with im leaning towards N/A but i have a couple of questions to ask:- 1. Is there any definite mods i should do that helps power 2. Is there a different head option that would help? 3. What kind of clutch would i need for a 220bhp build? stage2? 4. I have big fuel injectors, will i benefit from these on n/a? PS. running a b18c4 with 2.5" exhaust and whale p***s induction. Thanks!!
  2. I got sent a 2" exhaust manifold after ordering a 2.5" for my 2.5" exhaust so should i just sell the 2" one on or would it work perfectly fine after i get a 2" decat? mb6 cheers!
  3. Hi all My Micra has had it's day so I picked up this Civic MB6. I know it's not your typical EK Civic but it's still got the B18C4. It's certainly quicker than the Micra. It wont set any speed records but it does shift pretty well. The Car It has 89,000 miles, a bunch of paperwork and MOT till end of August. The car has had some track use before, the guy was on RetroRides It's pretty much standard, it has a set of 35mm lowering springs and a stainless steel (silent) rear can. Plans - I'm having the window tints done pay day, I don't like being in a goldfish bowl. - I've bought some G3 rubbing compound to remove the cloudiness on the headlights. - Some BC coilovers, expensive but worth it. - New brake pads. Preferably GreenStuff. It has OMP pads at the moment and they don't feel the best. Stay tuned!
  4. Hello all, I have came across a weird whine coming from the gearbox side of things. The whine is like when you try to accelerate in reverse but it only happens when im up at say 30+ and i slightly press the accelerator pedal like im trying to maintain speed. it usually gets worse the faster i go but as soon as i let go of the throttle it stops? Any ideas? Cheers!
  5. I had my car resprayed in December and the paint is peeling on the boot lid around the rear window rubber, the sprayer said it's because I never removed the rubber! My question is can you even take it off? I never did so because I couldent see how it comes off or if it even does? Cheers
  6. Noticed my drivers side front brake is squealing until I apply brakes is this pads or caliper sticking any info would be great
  7. Well since I have been on this forum for a little while now I suppose I should show how the civic is going even though there is plenty to come! This is the way i bought her, clean unmodified (except from the back box) was perfect to start with. The car was very well looked after when i got her FSH inside was immaculate one arch needed done but that didnt bother me it was straight into the paintshop for repair with a new panel. The power of the b18 still impresses me for the age of the car! From there I hated the original 5 spoke just not my taste so I purchased a set of speedlines in need of refurb. This is them after a sandblast and powdercoat primer. Some how it wont let me put more picture in this post so i will continue below!
  8. Thought I'd start my thread and show a few pics of the car that's been with me since 2008. I've had quite a few cars in between this including a 106gti, Toyota Mr2 turbo and an Ep3 Civic type R. It's the civic vti that I've always been attached too, probably because of the practically and reliability but the wolf in sheep's clothing thing. I'm always keeping it as clean as I can but hopefully this year or the next it will be back on the road. Changed a few things. From stock suspension to lowered springs to mg zs setup plus the zs arb. Power flow exhaust, various air filters, mg zs skirts, homemade mesh grill, short shifter and vtis alloys. Plus general maintance which I try to do most of it myself. I want to upgrade the brakes and possibly the exhaust system. Will try to dig out an orginal pic when I first bought it with 55,000...now 100,000
  9. Previous to last winter the screw that holds the bracket with the small AC pulley has snapped by itself, probably due to cold/vibrations. Just wondering if it's repairable without engine removal. Regrettably I had an engine rebuild done the previous spring so I don't want to spend big money on engine removal just to replace one screw (the old one needs to be drilled out so not sure if that can be done with the engine still inside since it is on the side of the engine) Last summer was quite bad without the working AC and this summer is supposed to be even worse, so I might reconsider the repair ;o]] I've marked the pulley and the bolt on the attached pictures
  10. Hi guys, some of you may remember my previous M's... http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/7C3A7163-B5D6-471B-ABC8-ABF95F3FFBE0_zpszrm3cjug.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/A641B62F-7213-4D00-9D4A-B77FEAFB4700_zpsz6eurzgs.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/2418819E-E1E6-4049-B6CF-FFA30DAD7637_zpsuv0xeepx.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/EB1F4B48-F648-49AF-9291-D97BD626B78E_zpsef4drzej.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/7FC741DF-EA2F-45D4-8D9F-87A13A531920_zps377yuul2.jpg[/IMG] swapped my aerodeck a wee while back for a facelift ek coupe. Spent a bit time tidying it up and preparing it for a b series engine swap (my old c4 from the mb6 which dropped a valve and needing rings) but when browsing Facebook one day I found a preface lift coupe with a b16 conversion and some other tasty parts for sale local, and cheap. I bought that, sold my facelift coupe and spent a bit time sorting some of the bodges on the new coupe. Then when browsing Facebook again lol I came across a nicely spec'd mb6 which was also fairly local for a good price. The guy I bought the coupe off was eager to buy it back so I said if he gave me what the mb6 was going for then we could do a deal, which he jumped at. After driving the mb6 I knew I had to have it, I felt right at home. I prefer the styling of the m civics and I feel their very underrated which makes them more appealing to me a ma brief spec on the new mb6 is... B18c4 421 manifold Decat Custom stainless catback Top fuel carbon induction kit Apexi neo controller Vtec set at 4.8k Lightened flywheel Short shifter Momo gearknob Polybushed Koni adjustables Buddyclub front camber arms M2 rear camber arms Braided brake lines Drilled and grooved discs Lightweight evo alloys Additional upper strut brace Kode dished steering wheel Hid low hi kit Mesh grille De tangoed and sprayed headlights the car has been owned by enthusiasts and feels very good to drive. There is one issue with the gearbox/or linkage. It become stiff and hard to remove/engage gears when it's warm. Iv replaced the oil but this hasn't made much difference. Next I'm going to change the short shifter and linkage to see if this helps. Apart from that it's a joy to drive. I plan on adding my own wee touches to the car and just generally tidy bits up. heres a couple pics I snapped when I bought 2 weeks ago... http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/E1C11B16-5D24-457E-A9F5-02387C2D5887_zpsqko4agqq.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/1596DC20-54E7-47ED-B2C0-F3F1084F7357_zpseliwx1ri.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/7713D1EA-23BF-4445-BFAD-525A77151969_zpsqoe0j0lk.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/998D6822-7D42-4F1C-86A2-4E0141945666_zpsgtxe5xuj.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/1EB54978-8515-4721-B625-1D1EE069CEF8_zpsptorhdfv.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/6888605E-F6D6-40D5-BE10-CD32F1141CB1_zpsihpgyudz.jpg[/IMG] http://i120.photobucket.com/albums/o179/bikerboymarv/54BDEF81-5818-421A-B292-C374F2E1E09E_zpsjbej18bt.jpg[/IMG]

  15. Found a great deal on a set of -40mm mb springs on the intranet tonight and I'm tempted to order them up. Problem is I plan to upgrade to mg zs 180 shocks in the future but I'm sure in the past I came across some info saying this -40mmMBspring/MGshock setup combined will end up in a total drop of 55mm??? I'll be running 15" wheels and want to keep it usable for everyday mundane family tasks so will this setup be any use? Cheers.
  16. Hello, do someone knows the part numbers of the vti-s floor mats and the vti-s shift knob? thx:)

  22. I would be glad if a friendly soul could identify this ting that is attached to the intake manifold.
