  1. This is the car that replaced my 6g accord after i sold it because the gearbox decided it wanted out, so I decided not to bother to spend anymore money fixing it up as it was needing something replacing every week! I didn't like the car that much to keep on fixing it. So this EK saloon I have now is so much better and is worth me spending some cash on it as I love the thing! Not many of these around! I also have plans to turbo it, there's alot more parts available for this than my old accord. And it also seems a bit quicker even though it's a 1.5! Got a lot planned this civic
  2. Good afternoon to all, My name is Samuel , I am a dutch automotive student that studies Automotive Engineering. I've recently bought a bargian if i may say so. Thanks to Twan who is also a Aerodeck owner here i bought it. Hereby i introduce to you my 1999 Civic Aerodeck 1.5 V-tec-E. for 300 Euro. This car is only Honda Dealer Serviced so no third party's had touch this car for repairs and service. It has a fully new APK ( A yearly check up). And i know you guys will think, why is it so cheap. Well...... It has a cooling issue which i cannot source the problem. I thought of a air bleeding issue in de cooling system. It overheated when a have exited the runway so no Wind that cools the liquid. The fan works totally fine. So the only thing that i have concluded is that it has a bad gasket leak. So i will repair that in a couple of weeks, this and ofcourse some new fluids. new oil, new clutch and new sparkplugs while i am at it. But hereby i will end with some pictures.( It is quite dirty because did not had time to wash it good ! )
  3. I bought a fabia vrs to use along side the aerodeck and it was great unroll it kept breaking, I treated like a van I've still got it I just need to fix it.. again! then get it sold. So the replacment... I found this on eBay and it wasn't to far away. It's got a couple of things to sort out but other than that I'm really happy with it. The guy I bought it from had it for 4/5 years but the guy he bought it from put the jdm wind deflectors, recaro seats and tegiwa intake on. Sounds insane in vtec!
  4. Hello, friends. Was changing engine oil on my Civic MB3 the other day and noticed the pipe between the air filter and the engine has a little hole. The car is fine to drive and never had problems with it but I don't like that thing over there. It's the tube of number 6. All the sites where they sell this tube have it discontinued so I guess I won't find it to buy, and even If i could it seems expensive. So is there a way to seal that hole? Or should I try to find one at a scrapyard? Thanks.

Hi new to the forum, picked up this mb6 totally standard apart from coilover a month ago and since then I've added an omp wheel and quick release, new carpets, added an aem induction kit, aluminium rad and red coolant hoses, decat, custom spark plug cover,bonnet raisers and few wee tidy up bits, I've owned a few hondas before this, had am ej6 civic coupe with a b18c4 conversion and also owned an accord type r, but its quite a clean mb6 so don't want to do to much to it or anything done it can be put back, but interested in probably one of the most asked questions of making the custom projector headlights? And looking a nice set of alloys, recommendations? Thanks
  6. Looking for some help please people, like many others the terrible Infra Red remote locking fob has stopped working for my car. I got the remote from the ex-ex owner of my car (been in the family since new) and it was totally disconnected having not been used for years. not lighting up even with new batteries, absolutely dead and I've since lost it anyway. If the opportunity was there to buy a brand new remote/fob, how easy is it to get this coded to your car's code? I imagine it will be a Honda dealership jobby, but what is it likely to set me back? Bearing in mind I will have a brand new never used remote? Thanks! (I know an aftermarket central locking system would no doubt be cheaper but there's also all the wiring involved and paying somebody to do it!)

Hello, I've been following this forum for a while but never introduced myself so I think it's about time that I do this My name is Ringo, i'm from Belgium so my Englisch isn't the best but I'll try. I have my aerodeck mc2 now for almost a year. When I bought him it had 110.000 km. This is when I bought him : My first modification were wheels and h&r lowering springs. I also changed the oil to mobil1 5w40 and mounted a itr oem airbox. Changed the sparkplugs and installed a cat converter. This week I'm gonna change the brake pads to ebc black ones. I also did a big order at all4honda.nl, a 5 panel mirror, a sensor for oiltemp and oilpress, a new fuelfilter, a hamp oilfilter, an oilpan gasket, a exhaust header gasket, a few little things and the biggest thing, an invidia g200 catback from a civic coupe/sedan 92-95. Also I want to buy a utcomp board computer and install the oil sensors on it. I also bought a vti-s front and back lip wich must be painted in red. I had the chance to buy a secondhanded tegiwa toda rep header wich is almost brand new. When the new updates are installed I'll be posting some new pictures.   8. So here's my little new MB3 on its summer wheels that normally were on my ED9. Need to lower it though, 215/40 R16 are looking very tiny. Bought it for 500€ last June with 192.000km and a nearly broken transmission. Luckily a used but functional one and 8 wheels (OEM alloys and some steels) were in the back so i just had to replace the gearbox and also put a brand new clutch in it for 450€ total in a honda workshop. It's now at 206.000km and it's still going without any problems. Looks like i made a good deal for under 1000€. Also it's in lovely Pirates Black and has this nice little wing, gorgeous!

  11. As you all probably know iv bought burbleboys vti-s and very happy with it glad to be back in a Honda. Plans are to just drive it for a while as it's already sorted, save for a turbo kit next summer (possibly!) taking fly-eyes off as there just not my thing.
  12. I have recently installed a Toad alarm to my Mb6, I found a lot of conflicting info on the central locking activation for an aftermarket unit. It is difficult to interpret and manipulate the locking signals due to switches in the locks themselves providing feedback signals. To clear this up and keep all the door locks working as they should, also retaining the use of the original fob, the simplest way is to find the central locking module located behind the heating controls (centre console), open up the unit and attach the negative trigger system directly to the pins on the dual relay as shown. these pins will activate the door lock/un-lock when grounded. Hope this helps.
  13. Hi all im jay n this is my aerodeck vti. Its got 120k on the clock. Some service history and many battle scars and signs of abuse perfect for a project and was mine for 1k. I bought it nearly a year ago n its solid underneath no rust anywhere its just a little tatty on the paintwork usuall story the paint is flaking on the bonnet and boot (longbridge build quality lol) n lots of carpark dings n scratches. Mechanically its sound engine wise that is lol as for the gearbox its the noisiest one ive ever had as recently its started to play up long story short new one getting fitted next week along with a new clutch.
  14. I've just came across a guy selling an engine with a b16 head on a b18 block has anyone ever had experience with this setup any pros/cons to look out for cause I think I'm buying it PS would s80 gearbox go with this setup and possibly a p28 ecu all to go in my ej8

Since I joined Civic5 and started seeing all the nice Ms I have wanted to have a VTI deck in Pirates Black but due to financial reasons and the price they would be selling for I was unable to fulfil my dream..The other morning I went on Auto Trader just to have a look as usual with no plans of buying a Car..but as I searched for Honda Civic Estates I saw this ad of someone selling a Pirates Black one in Birmingham so me and mrs. decided to go have a look at the car..but as soon as we saw it we knew we have to buy it..so I took it for a test drive and loved it..It's done 136k..Completely standard..2 Previous owners and the last owner had it for 8 years..and it's evident that he looked after it and didn't abuse the car..There is no rust anywhere..some swirls and minor scratches on the paintwork but nothing major..I am very happy and excited to have this car and looking forward to some nice changes Pictures from the ad. I haven't taken any yet..but tomorrow morning if the weather is nice I will take some more

    My eg hatch

    Hi guys, swapped the eg coupe I had with a mate of mine. Always wanted a hatch and his was a very clean example with some nice minor mods. It's a lsi model so it's only a 1.5. I still have my rebuilt b18c4 but need to source a p28 ecu, vti dash loom, gearbox shafts and linkage to complete the swap. The car came with some bandedsteels that is made. Iv since swapped them for some rota slips,removed some stickers and fitted a standard back box.

This is my first mb/ma honda, before this one i had an mint white ED6 civic which i unfortunately crashed.. it's an MB1 1.6iLS 1998 i've had it a little bit over a month and already love it! the way it drives and corners, just a well built car! if u have any ideas what to do to it to make it even more better looking then comment!

  22. Hello all, I’m new to the forum so will give you a little back ground about me, Spent years playing around with various cars, bikes quads etc and never really had anything very fast. In the summer we went for a rolling road day at a tuners in Leicester and got talking with the owner and he convinced me to build a civic turbo. So when I left there I spent weeks and weeks searching the internet for information on Honda’s, let me tell you if you’re not used to Honda’s its very confusing with all these Ek, Eg, Ej, Mb, Ma, etc etc I then came across a lovely clean Mb6 Aerodeck 1.8 Vti and thought would make a great sleeper, as well as coming with Lsd, 1.8 Dohc as standard. Got the car for just over £1300 with full extensive service history so I was quite pleased in the end. I then took the car to the tuners for a rolling road for a health check and power run, It made 163 Bhp which is not bad considering its only lost 7 hp in 15 years, ( and has a slight exhaust blow ) Once confirmed that car was ok to start building i began to write a list of parts needed, based on what i got told i needed and normal replacement parts such as cambelt kit etc. That list over the last 6 weeks has just got longer and longer. I planned on getting it to 300 bhp, and then wanted to make sure the engine was strong enough to be used on a daily basis and now we are looking at making it a 500bhp car.
