  2. WANTED!! any red vti front lip , side skirts to fit my baby!! would like them to be cheap if possible ..i know its a long shot...thought i'd ask any lowered suspension would be cool too, or info on where to get some that will fit mine any help would be great !!
  3. got these yesterday & pair of tweeters that fit by door mirrors total of £30. One of headlights on car has broken bracket so bodged with wire at the moment. Took ages to get through the sticky stuff, might do the other one later, used toothpaste, T-cut and Brasso on lenses but Autosol worked best. Brought back memories of having chrome bumpers! Got the other two Fox wheels fitted today - thankfully none of that set were buckled. Found a guy in Ilford Essex that breaks just Hondas from his home, right little treasure trove. That's where I sourced the lights & tweeters. He was impressed with back of the car - no rust, at least it has a good rear end lol. Got some bolts to try sort front bumper for now, little bit skint til payday. Couldn't get door latch to budge when tried to take off door card earlier. Unscrewed it pushed it to one side but it would not come off. Is there some trick I'm missing? Started day with a little snow now we have rain so messing around with the car will have to wait til after I've done my next 4x12hr shifts.
  4. Thought I best move this out of General Chat and start a thread in Members Cars.. I'm bloody shattered lol Have been cleaning all day! 5. hi everybody guess who bought another civic mb1 sr vtec...yeaaah it's me it was a very good deal, near my home... so i bought it 300€ (217£), she has 127 000 miles (197 000 km ) very good conditions,, and i bought her to english people !! unfortunatly i wasn't here to talk with them as you can imagine, at this price, the need some reparations so it's a mb1 sr vtec of course (rare in France, or so expansive), d16y2 as you know. she is grey, perfect for my collection of MB1 lol ^^ good points : - her mileage ! -4 electric windows work good - clutch look ok - interior is very clean, exterior too ! - the engine looks good, sec - it's a SR ^^ bad points / or to do : - tyres ( i ' ve the old wheel of my white) - front and rear brake ( disk + pads) + brake caliper - exhaust, and o2 sensor (check engine) - all drains and filter (air, oil, fuel....) - spark... there is a little rust but it's ok all she needs to drive ^^ we will do everything 'cause we don't have invoices of the last owner! at the moment she doesn't able to drive ( one rear brake caliper is bloqued or broke ) but we will make all of this with love, like my other MB so now, i've got 3 mb1 somes pictures mae

    A tempting V8

This V8 BMW might suit someone that's entitled to free car tax : http://www.elitevehiclesalesltd.co.uk/used-cars/bmw-5-series-3-5-535i-4dr-leigh-201604052647828 My heart yearns for such a motor but my head tells me I need one "like a hole in the head"
  8. Have recently bought a vtec-e sport and I got it for a pretty good price but the biting point was/is really high and has recently had a slave cylinder by previous owner so I suspected it needed a new clutch very soon, didn't think it would be quite this soon though.. Clutch started slipping on the motorway this evening..probably because of the 5k rpm fun just before that Any ideas roughly how long these will hold out for once they've started slipping?
  9. Welcome to Civic5.com We are the UK's number 1 dedicated website/owners club for owners of the 1995-2000 Honda Civic 5 door MA MB MC series. There aren't many Honda sites that welcome the civic MA/MB/MC range, but this is a site dedicated soley to the M's. We have the largest database of info and tech specs on the M series, and any information you need will be found in this site. We have a dedicated team of moderators, and there's always knowledgeable members on hand to help answer any queries you have regarding your civic M. Ok, a bit of history on the club, and where it all began. The club name was derived from obviously the name of the car, which is "Civic", and the "5" because it is soley for the "5 door". Civic5 originally started in January 2009, on a freeforum and freewebsite domain. Our original name was civic-5 and we were located at this web address http://civic-5.yolasite.com (was originally "synthasite" until taken over by Yola) .Our forum was hosted by youforum.co.uk, again another free site. We were not sure how the club would be received at first, but it became apparent quite quickly that there was indeed a call for a club like ours, and our member-base quickly grew. We had considered buying a proper domain and going onto a proper subscription server, but still weren't sure if the site warranted that. So in Feb 2009, we started our sister site HONDACLUB-UK. This was initially started as a backboard for promoting civic5, as a lot of Honda owners knew people who had civic M's, so would be able to spread the word about civic5. We reckoned we would get more people joining an all Honda site as opposed to a one type dedicated site. So we decided to go for a proper domain and hondaclub-uk.com was born! By April 2009, civic-5 was busy as ever, and we were actually outgrowing the website and forum! We also outgrew Hondaclub-uk, so that site we retired just over a year later. With Civic5, we wanted to be able to have our own design on the forum and the site, a custom theme and logo that would instantly identify with civic5! So the decision was made to get civic-5 onto a proper domain, and a top notch server host. Through contacts in i.t., and also one of my family members, we found a company for hosting our site. So April 2009, civic-5 changed, and civic5.com was born. We went through several custom designs (those who have been with us from the start will remember all the different logos, colours etc we've had!! ), until we reached what we have now. The rest is history! Feel free to browse the forum, and chat to fellow Honda civic M series owners and enthusiasts. Check out our For Sale & Wanted sections for parts and cars for sale, and have a good look through our site. Our Aim/Goal 1: To be the Uk's best M series civic site, and one of the best on the web. (Done!) 2: To give owners of civic M's a site of their own. (Done!) 3: To offer as much help and info as we can to our members & visitors to the site/forum. ((Done! That's why we are the number 1 choice for MA MB MC Civic owners Throughout the UK and the rest of the Europe!) 4: To help the Civic M's gain the respect they deserve within the Honda community. (Done! With almost 1900 (Now over 4000 since 3/4/16!) genuine members, and demand for m series civics on the rise, Civic M's have never been so popular!) We have also had the club featured in the top japanese car tuning mag BANZAI, and a more recent club focus feature in Total Honda Magazine! This has been a major achievement, and has helped promote the Civic M's even further. 5: To have official traders, who can offer our members discounts on any parts/accessories they require. Behind the scenes, we are always in contact with various companies, trying to get good deals for our members, and also trying to give the traders something in return.(Done! We have various Highly respected and well known companies on board now as Official Civic5 traders, offering discounts to all our members. We have also created our own CIVIC5 branded stickers and mugs, and introduced our popular "Civic5 supporter" membership scheme making CIVIC5 a proper club! It's also made civic5.com a one stop site for all a Civic M Owners needs. We have everything covered here. Our members all say Civic5 is the best civic ma mb mc website/forum and owners club they have seen. We are widely recognized by all the top Honda forums. We hope you enjoy the site and forum too, and visit us again soon. Admin team Civic5

  16. Hi guys, New pads and discs fitted to the rears which is nice, but pretty certain the rear right is seized. Pretty much no wear on the disc and it's been over a week! also, the handbrake cable adjustment bit is super wonky. So was looking at overhauling the calipers and cable in a oner. Looking at parts that fit, am I right in thinking these calipers will fit? There's the bonus of getting £15 back as well. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/PAIR-OF-REAR-BRAKE-CALIPERS-To-Fit-ROVER-COUPE-45-200-400-240mm-Disc-/371263950968?hash=item56710e5078:g:iIYAAOSwWTRWxVtK it's an MB3 240mm disc. As for handbrake cables, are they always sold left and right separately, rather than just the one cable? And why would one side be more expensive than the other? Only talking a couple of quid here, but surely there's no difference?
  17. Hello I had a little accident with a badger, so i have to replace my Front bumper. Can anyone tell me which models are similar to the MB3 so i can simply put their bumper on it? Dont know if all ma, mb & mc models have the same dimensions etc. Thanks!
  18. Our Honda Civic MA MB MC buyers guide page is back. We have rebuilt the page and it's now ready to use. It can be found by either clicking the "Buyers guide" section of the forum. It's also been added to the main browse menu for convenience. We hope you find it useful. We will also be creating a word document version soon and will add it to our downloads section so it's easy to print off and take with you when viewing a car to buy.
