  2. Hey guys wonder if you can help.i have a 98 5dr Civic vti and have bought a subframe tiebar & control arms(not factory) having problems finding the right bolts and Arab links to fit my control arms.also I have abs lines running over the current subframe, how do I work around this and where can I find the right links and bolts to fit
  3. Hello, here is my "project topic" Last summer i bought my Aerodeck in Germany. Since summer i did a few modifications to the car. First i installed my Japan Racing JR3 rims After a long vacation trip, from the Netherland to Praha and back, i decided to lower the front of the Aerodeck it drove very nice but the looks where not what i wanted so i decided to lower back
  4. I was wondering if this kit would fit our models. I think the bushings in the control arm will, but the one that connects to the subframe is a litte bit diffirent. http://www.all4honda.com/en/webshop/72-integra-1995-2000/93-suspension/932-pu-rubbers/hardrace-control-arm-bushings-front-lower-civic-del-sol-integra-details.html And I was looking for winter wheels and saw a set of a honda accord. These are 15" 4x114 and et50. But I don't know if there's gonna be enough clearance for the 282 brakes in the front.
  5. Hello all, I’m new to the forum so will give you a little back ground about me, Spent years playing around with various cars, bikes quads etc and never really had anything very fast. In the summer we went for a rolling road day at a tuners in Leicester and got talking with the owner and he convinced me to build a civic turbo. So when I left there I spent weeks and weeks searching the internet for information on Honda’s, let me tell you if you’re not used to Honda’s its very confusing with all these Ek, Eg, Ej, Mb, Ma, etc etc I then came across a lovely clean Mb6 Aerodeck 1.8 Vti and thought would make a great sleeper, as well as coming with Lsd, 1.8 Dohc as standard. Got the car for just over £1300 with full extensive service history so I was quite pleased in the end. I then took the car to the tuners for a rolling road for a health check and power run, It made 163 Bhp which is not bad considering its only lost 7 hp in 15 years, ( and has a slight exhaust blow ) Once confirmed that car was ok to start building i began to write a list of parts needed, based on what i got told i needed and normal replacement parts such as cambelt kit etc. That list over the last 6 weeks has just got longer and longer. I planned on getting it to 300 bhp, and then wanted to make sure the engine was strong enough to be used on a daily basis and now we are looking at making it a 500bhp car. Thanks for looking more pictures to follow
  6. Hi guys, I change my stock interior for a vti interior. But the back seat doesn't fit on the bow of my car?
  7. Was just looking on ignition car parts site for new dizzy cap and rotor, and noticed that they do abs sensors. They didn't pick up my reg on the search, and the mc2 isn't listed in any of the compatibility charts, but I did a search on the honda part number for a rear sensor and it took me to this page http://www.ignitioncarparts.co.uk/PartDetails.aspx?s_pc=SMP-60094&s_vid= Like i say, a couple of ms are listed (diesels) but not others, so be cautious and check before buying, but £73 for a new sensor is the best price I've seen... And I've done some looking over the years.
  8. Stumbled across this today http://www.rac.co.uk/drive/car-reviews/honda/civic/207658/
  9. Hello All, Recently I replaced the ABS Sensor with a used working one as the seller said. However the light remained on. So I took it to the Dealers to diagnose it and they go they cannot get their diagnostic tools to communicate with the ABS Unit. They tested their tools on another civic MB4 and it worked which also had the abs light on. Any suggestions as to what it could be? They said replaced whole unit, and I simply said it will write the car off. Many Thanks
  10. Hi, one strange problem... My MC2 fuel consumption is of about 11-12 km/l (something less than 34 mpg), for an average range of about 430-450 km or 270-300 miles. This means that, at each refuel, I put about 40 l into the tank...and also in the most desperate cases when I thought to be really out of fuel, with the gauge pointer less than horizontal, I never succeeded to put in more than 41-42 lt (11 gallons)... Is this normal or my fuel gauge has some problem? The car datasheet claims for a "huge" 55 lt fuel tank, but I really can't see where this volume would be...
  11. Morning all, Long time lurker here looking for some advice. I was driving to work this morning and noticed the gears were becoming increasingly difficult to select. What's the average cost of replacing a clutch? Car is a Vti s aerodeck. Thanks for any advice Cheers Dave
  12. Hi guys, swapped my mb6 for a aerodeck a couple of weeks ago. Needed the extra boot space. The deck isn't in as good condition as the mb6 but I'm slowly working through the faults etc. First of all I replaced the two rear tyres with some new toyos, and just yesterday fitted my hks 4-1 manifold with 2.5" collector, 2.5" decat and then I made a custom 2.5" b pipe leading to an apexi back box. I'm going to band some steelies for it, get a rear anti roll bar and replace the worn bushes and underseal it. Going to be on the lookout for a car at the local scrappies in the same colour as a lot of the panels have been keyed but I'm loving being back in a deck.
  13. Need to replace leaking cam seal(s). Never done this before, so anything i should know in advance? I've got Hondabond and an accurate torque wrench. The rocker cover seal was replaced only half a year ago so i'm using the old one. I watched this video, looks pretty straightforward: In this one he only changes the exhaust side cam seal, and i've noticed some other people only change 1 cam seal as well when fixing a cam seal leak. My logic would say to replace both seals on the same go, but is this a) necessary and b ) possible without removing the distributor? I'm not even 100% sure if i've got leaks on both seals or only the exhaust side, it's hard to tell with all the bits in the way and oil spreading around engine.
  14. work i done on the first week of owning car new front caliper and painted fixing door lock put my rover 400 alloy on look better that the 13" still wheels painted grill black
  15. Sadly, the Deck doesn't get a mention : http://retrorides.proboards.com/thread/190984/load-luggers-parts-haulers-esp
  16. right anyone wanting poly bushes but don't want to get raped for em. use http://www.strongflexuk.co.uk/ they usually take about a week to arrive but are good quality and cheaper than most other places! they also have a category for our cars!!
  17. Need some help , I understand my aerodeck currently sits upon the mg zs suspension setup , however I want to replace but not lose the ride height , will a coilover set provide me with at least this ride height (with a firmer setup) or am I going to need to look elsewhere ? I know it sounds silly but im confused.
  18. Morning all, I've been in touch with the suppliers of these fiberglass body parts to ask about some wings. They don't do them for ms, but I asked how many they would need to make it worth while. He said for a special order they'd be wanting 7-10 pairs @ £190 per pair, plus delivery. This is their ebay listing for egs... http://m.ebay.co.uk/itm/231970494058 Would anyone be interested?
