  1. Hi guys me again, So in a continued effort to make my K20 MB2 perfect (or as close to as I can) I was recommended into getting an LSD fitted. So I'm looking for suggestions if anyone knows what works well with K20A2 and suitable for an MB2 chassis. (I'm also be looking around on K series forums too but I thought I'd also ask you guys in case anyone here is quite knowledgable about it). Many thanks once again :)
  2. Does the body kit fitted in these photos appear to be genuine or aftermarket? This is not my car, just photos seen online.
  3. Greetings from a new member in London. It's good to know there are others interested in these cars. I have always liked the look of these. In my opinion, both the exterior and interior look a lot better designed than similar cars of the same era. I also know that the engines are extremely dependable if maintained. I live inside the area where the London Ultra-low Emissions Zone is due to be extended out to in Oct 2021. Unfortunately my current non-Honda car will not comply with this zone as it is too old. The age limit is after 1st March 2001 for petrols and after 2017 for Diesels. I am looking for an MB Civic on a Y Plate (after 1st March 2001) as that is the only reg that is new enough to comply with the ULEZ rules. I know there are a few out there as I have seen some for sale and on the road, but not many. So far, all that I have seen on Y plates have been the 1.4 Sport model with a manual gearbox. There are also some Aerodecks around on Y Plates. I regularly check ebay to try to track one down, but have not yet come across a decent one located near enough. I did go to have a look at one but was put off due to rust around the driver's side rear wheel arch. Hopefully I am able to eventually find the right one.

Civic5 How to guide No 8 - JDM style twin rear fog lights mod. This guide shows you how to modify your Honda Civic 5 door MA/MB rear lights to incorporate twin rear fog lights. This guide could also be used to do the same mod to the Honda Civic 5 door Aerodeck models too, although there may be some slight differences. Big thanks to member Dan1 for this great How To guide!

  6. Hi All, Figured I should actually start a post after years of lurking on here - A big belated thanks to all the various threads I've read up on! Think I did post up a 'Hello' thread years ago but it seems to have disappeared. I've had the car for about 5 years now and its a proper joy to drive. Thought it was just because it was my first car and having nothing to compare it to, but after driving/having other cars these Hondas are fun! Only recently started modifying it properly now the insurance isnt shafting me! Mod list: VTIS Front Lip & Skirts (Have the rear lip aswell but prefer it without) Optional Extra OEM big fogs! Leather Steering Wheel - think its the VTIS/Sport one? Honda alloys off an EP (I think) with Toyo Proxies CF2's Heko Wind Deflectors 2.25" Gravity Performance Spoon N1 rep stainless catback Exhaust (For an EJ/EM - just had to lengthen the backbox pipe) - with custom baffle as its too bloody noisy, should have gotten a smaller tubed exhaust! MGZS shocks & springs all round Future plans: Double rear fogs - in the blank space on the tail lights. Coilovers - The car is sitting high at the front with the MGZS setup, the D14 engine is too light for the springs really. When I swapped the suspension from the stock setup the rear dropped 25mm but the front remained the same, I even tried ZS120 springs but no difference. So it'll be nice to even it out and lows! New LCAs & MGZS rear ARB - Ive had this for about 4 years now waiting to go on! The MB2's LCA's dont have the bolt hole needed for the ARB's drop links annoyingly. Need to pick up some EG LCAs but will sort the coilovers first so the shocks fit onto them. Front Strut brace. K&N panel filter (waiting to go on) Rear wiper delete (waiting to go on) Vinyl wrap the chrome trim. Projector headlights (have a spare set of lights just need to get projectors etc) Various maintenance (timing/clutch). Dreams: Respray Engine swap Cheers, Dan
  7. Hi got a crack in manifold on my D16W4 1.6 SOHC VTEC, are there any replacement manifolds on other civics, old or later, that will fit, like D14Z4 for example? Thinking of looking for 2nd hand or scrappers. or do I have to go down the SS route from eBay?? thanks.
  8. Hi there! New to this forum, and new to the Honda-brand overall. Before I got the Aerodeck, I drove a Peugeot 206 GTI(NO, NOT THE 180!), unfortunatly the chassis of the 206 was en absolute wreck.. It had waaaay to much spots just to repair the bits and pieces, but I just didn't want to anymore... And as for the Aerodeck, it's underside is completely original and most of all..NO RUST! When I bought the car, is was totally stock, so I knew that no one ever messed with the car. Past few weeks I've been busy with modifying the suspention, wanted to put it as low as the roads here alow me to. And past weekend I customized my headlights together with a friend who builds custom headlights on order. Quite happy with the result, but still thinking what to do.. keep the 3000K Xenon in it, or going for a new set of 8000K Xenon, and then out yellow foil on the light-units themselves. Enough for the storytelling now, here are some pictures of my Honda Civic Aerodeck! (P.S. it has some spots and dents, but that's all gonna get fixed eventually!) Above; stock height|Down; coilovers mounted, rear was put at highest setting..xD.. Down; the work on customizing the headlights started! Too bad it was weird weather, one moment dry for 10 minutes, and before you knew it was pouring like hell. And it changed like that the entire day.... Above; just love the fog hanging in the lightbeam, gives it a bit of a "spooky" effect. Above; the day after the headlights were finished, gave the car a proper washing to check the headlights for any leaks or fog inside the units, and guess what, they're free of both! So far for the upgrades, but will definitely post more when the next parts/things are going to change!
  9. Ok, when parked up, how long does your battery stay charged in your Civic M? Let us know below! Also include whether you have an after market alarm turned on or not too. Know these cars seem to not like being left parked up with the battery connected for long periods of time, but looking to see what the average park up period is on them before the battery goes flat. And is it just a myth that it is the little clock in the dash that drains it? Use template below (copy/paste) Battery lasts: Alarm on?: Any extra info:
  10. Hello all. It's been a while. Gona do another build for my current car. I've had a few mbs and mcs which I will show you. You may recognise a couple. Nothing special. This is my first one. White mb2
  11. Taken from our FB group.... Proper mb race car!! https://m.facebook.com/story.php?story_fbid=1070779820018917&id=731654307264805 +6TPW Engineering Today was a special day for me as its not often you get to remap one if the iconic BTCC Super Tourers and this particular car is even more special as its the BT... 12. Hello everybody, just joined up there, been creeping about in the background for a couple of weeks now, finally got round to joining. Got my hands on a pirates black aerodeck, with vtis lip kit and skirts. And mid spoiler. Sitting on its HOLE plans are, the infamous mgzs suspension setup (which is proving to be a royal pain to find any) orrr coilovers. as its way too low, its got shortened shocks and springs out of some other form of civic and its softer than dog s**t over bumps and bounces about like a kangaroo. Tidy the body work. And just generally keep it nice and clean. There has been talks in the background of putting a turbo on it, but who knows what will come of that, I may change my mind. Other than the suspension and a k&n panel filter with a hole cut in the box it's a standard deck.
  13. A quick one this month folks as we're running a bit behind with the competitions. Get the cars you would like to see win entered now!! You can enter another members civic or even your own. Lets see em! Entry time is until Friday, then voting will start and finish on Sunday
  14. I'm looking at swapping out my 1.4 for potentially a F20B6 motor, I'm new to this and was wondering how possible this is and where I could get engine mounts from and would my trans bolt to it or would I need to swap a different one into it? Really need help as I have a motor planned and money ready I just need to make sure this isn't a mistake Thanks
  15. Mb2 1.4 with jdm 1993 h22a. Interior: rear stripped, wheel well deleted, will have buckets with harness and cage maybe in the rear. Battery relocated to boot. H22a engine, 1.6 non lsd gearbox (looking for a U2q7 same as my ATR) hks mushroom filter. lowered on coil overs all round apart from that the car is standard. not looking to sell because I’ve put too much work in but curious as to what it’s worth. I guess whatever someone is willing to pay but a ball park figure would be nice
  16. The three spoke steering wheel from HRV looks pretty good. My current one is wearing out a bit. Would it fit to MB6? SRS airbag compatibility? Number of splices? Safety of different air bag?
  17. So, I saw this on ebay a while ago, and can't get my head around it for some reason. https://www.ebay.de/itm/114228513404 Am I imagining it that this isn't there as standard? There's the little rubber strip round the lip of the arch, then beyond that it's just treated metal unlike the front arches?
