  1. Hey all, A question I'm not just 100% sure on and maybe somebody can help. I got my hands on a set of pistons and rods for the vti deck. Now on closer inspection it appears I have got type r rods and pistons. So the question is, can I put these straight into the standard c4? Mixed answers online. Some saying cams and a map are needed. Or would I be able just to put them straight in with no real.dramas? Many thanks all.
  2. Spotted around 5pm on the A7 heading towards Galashiels. Dark green Honda Civic MB, looked lowered, alloys, nice subtle exhaust, really clean looking! Anyone from here
  3. So i have an MB6 civic and have recently bought a set of mb6 braking hardware. Now this brings me to an issue, i would like to keep the 4*100 lug size but the mb6 wheel hubs are too large. Can i just fit the wheelhubs from an MB with the 1.6 Litre engine? As they also had rear disks but have the 4*100 lug size. Or do i just have to get new rims?
  4. Hi guys. This is how my car looks (MB6 B18C4) with normal Kyb shocks and Eibach Pro Kit springs. It is almost ok, but front is too low for me. (even i am using special B18C4 Eibach springs) I want to raise the front a little bit (1 finger lets say)..i should use MG ZS180 VS shocks and MG ZS120 springs?
  5. Hi folks i have bought rover 400 door cards because mine are sagging and the back one is damaged, i like the rover ones better, because they have the trim all around the interior, and i like the look of it, just might wrap the trim but not sure in what color/effect would suit best on the long run. Now i wanted opinions on what color/type of fabric will suit best for my door cards, later ill be doing the headliner too but for now its just the doors.pics would be awesome Also opinion in which wrap should be used for the trim, if anybody has some custom interior i would love to see pictures. Mb6 has carbon inserts, anyone can show me how it is the look? i wonder if it will make the car fill too dark inside with the carbon...i got this new projects but i really need second opinions cause they will be somewhat permanent changes. be safe, peace out
  6. hi guys time for a new chapter. I'll start of by saying that my old ma8 will be going to scrappers soon found some rather nasty rust and dew to rather annoying unforseen circumstances happing with my other non honda project. I dont have the time or space to work on it so i will build another in a year or so time. Now for the good news as i was gettng rid of my ma i wanted another civic as a daily as my origanl car that was going to use went up in a cloud of gear box oil and rust so i now have a mb as a daily Im going to be doing some things to her like coilovers wheels etc. Its rather clean to as it has next to no rust and has the nicer black interior. The only issues are the drivers side window doesnt work (mechanism come apart), boot doesnt shut or lock properly (previous ownwer had a fight wth something lol) can pull the latch back into place. Heres a pic of her for you guys will upload more tomorrow
  7. Greetings, first forum post so forgive me if I've done something wrong. Now to the question. Do rover 400/MG ZS lamps fit the MB's? see a lot of those on ebay. If not, what should I be looking for in terms of aftermarket fogs? Cheers.
  8. Hi, iam glad this forum still exists... if you need to upgrade your headlamps... I wanted to show you what i did... basically ebay retrofit kit. So ya, it fits nicely, there is how it looks. https://www.ebay.com/itm/Auxbeam-H1-LED-Headlight-Hi-Lo-Driving-Bulb-70W-7000LM-6000K-Decoder-Replace-Kit/153614622461?hash=item23c4251efd:g:44gAAOSwvNhdS8jZ https://www.ebay.com/itm/HID-Bi-xenon-Projector-Lens-LED-Square-Angel-Eyes-For-H1-H4-H7-Car-Motorcycle/372702246099?hash=item56c6c8f4d3:m:mBnGfFGoBxmiVNW5LRyRKng I hope i saved you some thinking :) I do not have a review, i just installed it and it shines ok, but i need to adjust it properly. But its way better than old style original lights for sure! The rings are DRL (controled by first position on lights swithc - parking light) and those switch off when you go for regular lights.
  9. Could anyone inform me with what kind of coilovers/springs fit on the mb4?
  10. I would like to replace the heater core (matrix) cause it is leaking coolant. For this I have to take out the heater unit behind the dash. I saw at the service manual that I have to take out the evaporator first. Does anyone know if I can take the heater core out without taking out completely the evaporator but only unscrew it and pick it up a little so as to free up the heater unit to come off? Thanks
  11. Hi there, me again! I've come to sip from the fountain of knowledge as usual. So as you, I was thinking about ways to make my car better, and since my MB2 has been K-Swapped I was thinking it maybe a good idea to do more improvements to the braking. So I already got EBC discs and yellowstuff pads on the front and braided lines on both the front and rear, but now I'm thinking it maybe a good idea to do a disc conversion for the rear and then get EBC discs and yellowstuff pads for those too. I had a look around the forum about this sort of thing and I looked at the list of interchangeable parts, but from my understanding going from drums to discs requires a full hub conversion. So if anyone is experienced in this field I would like to find out what all of my options are; so from which cars can I swap rear discs into mine from? I am aware that MB's that have discs on both front and rear ususally come in the configuration of 262/260 front/rear or 262/239. I would assume 260mm discs are superior to 239mm, but I am staying away from rear discs from the MB6 and MC2 VTI's because I want to keep a 4x100 wheel pattern (unless it's easy to change). Another thing is that my MB2 does not have ABS, I'm not sure if this plays a part with seeing what options I have. So overall I just want to hear what others have to say; what you guys would recommend, which breaking cars I should keep a look out for, and what would give me the best stopping power without changing other things on my car such as the wheels. Cheers guys :)
  12. Hi there, So I've returned again to pick fruit from my favourite tree of wisdom. So good news, my MB2 build is nearing to the "end" of my MB2 build, of which I'll be making a lovely post about with lots of pictures once it's done. So recently I got the Hardrace front traction brace, Hardrace rear LCA's, 18mm rear anti-roll bar for 400/45/MG ZS. So I want to get new front LCA's as well and I asked the guys at Dynodaze about fitment and they told me that rear LCA's for MB follows EK (not EG) fitment but they didn't mention what would fit the front, only saying that they'd recommend getting ones off an MB6. So I just want to see if anyone has AM front LCA's then what fits MB's? Also bonus question, in case I ever decide to go for a beefier rear anti roll bar, what fitment works with the MB2? Thank you so much guys.

    Front lights

Hey So I have owned my mb4 for over a year now and I was wondering if the Honda Accord front lights fit on the mb4. I would appreciate it if you could tell me what parts also fit on it. Thanks
  15. I came across this roverdeck today and thought I'd share it on here and see what u guys think about it
  16. Hi guys me again, So in a continued effort to make my K20 MB2 perfect (or as close to as I can) I was recommended into getting an LSD fitted. So I'm looking for suggestions if anyone knows what works well with K20A2 and suitable for an MB2 chassis. (I'm also be looking around on K series forums too but I thought I'd also ask you guys in case anyone here is quite knowledgable about it). Many thanks once again :)
  17. Does the body kit fitted in these photos appear to be genuine or aftermarket? This is not my car, just photos seen online.

Civic5 How to guide No 8 - JDM style twin rear fog lights mod. This guide shows you how to modify your Honda Civic 5 door MA/MB rear lights to incorporate twin rear fog lights. This guide could also be used to do the same mod to the Honda Civic 5 door Aerodeck models too, although there may be some slight differences. Big thanks to member Dan1 for this great How To guide!
  19. Hello folks. I'm having a bit of trouble trying to fit my oil cooler. I have the cooler mounted and everything I need to do the job and also plumb in all my gauges aswell. I'm using a thermostatic mocal sandwich plate to feed the cooler but there doesn't seem to be any room to mount it. Iv seen plenty of install guides and videos of doing it and no one seem to have trouble fitting the plat. But on the b18c4 there just seems to be no room around it. You can get the plate on but there is no room for fittings and the hoses to go. There seem to be more hoses and random lines on the back of a b18c4 block than any other engine from pics iv seen. Has anyone else managed to fit one and how did they do it? Thanks
  20. Mb2 1.4 with jdm 1993 h22a. Interior: rear stripped, wheel well deleted, will have buckets with harness and cage maybe in the rear. Battery relocated to boot. H22a engine, 1.6 non lsd gearbox (looking for a U2q7 same as my ATR) hks mushroom filter. lowered on coil overs all round apart from that the car is standard. not looking to sell because I’ve put too much work in but curious as to what it’s worth. I guess whatever someone is willing to pay but a ball park figure would be nice
  21. Hi got a crack in manifold on my D16W4 1.6 SOHC VTEC, are there any replacement manifolds on other civics, old or later, that will fit, like D14Z4 for example? Thinking of looking for 2nd hand or scrappers. or do I have to go down the SS route from eBay?? thanks.
  22. Ok, when parked up, how long does your battery stay charged in your Civic M? Let us know below! Also include whether you have an after market alarm turned on or not too. Know these cars seem to not like being left parked up with the battery connected for long periods of time, but looking to see what the average park up period is on them before the battery goes flat. And is it just a myth that it is the little clock in the dash that drains it? Use template below (copy/paste) Battery lasts: Alarm on?: Any extra info:
  23. Hello all. It's been a while. Gona do another build for my current car. I've had a few mbs and mcs which I will show you. You may recognise a couple. Nothing special. This is my first one. White mb2
