Well, here's the build up of my first MB6. Only had her 5 days and already i'm in love with her!!! lol Oh, and she's been officially named Ruby! Goes with her Ruby red paint (ok, I know it's sicillian red!! ) I'm no stranger to M's have had my MA8 civic (blue Betty!) for around 5 years! Right, heres the info on her when I got her. 1998 S-reg sicillian read pearl 39,000 miles Full service history, 2 owners from new (Honda being the first, up to 6,000 miles, then the owner I bought her from at 38,500 miles) standard appart from A/M remote alarm imobiliser with ultrasonics (NOW REPLACED WITH NEW UPGRADED CAT 1 SYSTEM), detachable towbar (proper one from Honda , which will be coming off!) My Plan is to make her a VTiS replica, but in met red, instead of pirates black. So here she is This was on the way home at some motorway services (I spy Dawns aerodeck in the background! ) First mod was to ditch the orange side indicators for nice clear ones Next, it was onto the interior. She's spotless inside, but still gona give her a good clean, so heres how she looks now....I'll post up another once she's been fully valeted The one part of the interior that I wanted to change asap was the stereo! Was a pioneer good bit of kit in it's day, but i like me Cd's and MP3's so out it came and in its place, my Pioneer mp3 head unit (keeping it kinda oem, as it's still a pioneer ) And thats all the mods so far...........but there will be more to come. She's getting a full VTI-S body kit, VTI-S alloys (early style ones) poss tints, and a few other bits and bobs. Heres some pics of how she looks now after a wash! MODS SO FAR: Smoked side indicators Pioneer MP3 head unit (iPod compatible) (UPDATE: Now Alpine CDE9850Ri CD/MP3 with full iPod control)(Update again, now got a new Pioneer DAB/CD/USB head unit!) Powerflow Stainless steel exhaust (cat back) VTiS lip kit (side skirts still to be fitted) VTiS floor mats VTiS gearknob VTiS Speedline chrono alloys fully refurbed and powder coated in white ) TypeR Gear gator with red stitching Full leather (from ES model) fitted, along with the black door cards Honda horn (peep peep) removed, replaced air horns Lowered on Full MeisterR Zeta S coilover suspension

Hello all, im looking for the keyless door lock control unit in my car. I lost the infrared remote control (1 button) for a '97 MB6 and want to swap the whole system from a MC2 as a donor car, but i just cant find the control unit. As far as i know, I need the remote control, the receiver module and the corresponding control unit. The dealer manual I have, says its behind the climate control panel, but its not there. Could it be that the immobilizer is also the keyless control unit? Im suspecting that because it has those markings with frequencies and approvals for the different countries. I took every thing apart, the consoles, looked in both footwells, but couldnt find it. I would be happy if someone could help me find this thing. thanks alot, Ibo

Hi guys, so my Mb2 is going to be turning 20 very soon this year So one of the jobs I’m wanting to do is replacing all major bushings etc. I’ve just never done this before and have no idea what bushes are on the car, front suspension and back. Also where can I get all the right parts and how much is it going to cost approximately? Trailing arm bushes badly need doing, also sure I’ve heard the front anti roll bar knocking, rear LCA bushes could do with replacing as well. Any words of wisdom greatly appreciated!

Has anyone here bought new aftermarket front fenders for their MB6? Or just got used ones from scrap yard etc. ? I was wondering if the aftermarket ones fits directly or if there are any seam gaps, if the headlight and bonnet fit to it properly etc. Things that can go wrong. Diederichs makes them but couldn't find those. I got myself Polcar ones. https://catalog.polcar.com/#!KatKatalogGlowny/fender-front-381102/492184 Should i try fitting them first before getting them painted at a shop? I was thinking of putting them on later in spring. But could get them painted already. Any bodypanel/exterior info would be welcome in this forum. Considering aftermarket parts especially.

Best prize/perfomance/durability/quality ratio? I've heard Blue print makes good aftermarket parts for Japanese vehicles especially. Should be better or same as OEM they claim. Ferodo? TRW? Delphi? Bosch? Also should you ever use different pads with different disc brand? Or different combo in front vs rear axle?

Browsing ebay and found this. Looks amazing condition with only 18.000 miles on the clock, two owners from new. Very hard to find one like this, but don't think I could justify.........£6495 for an MB6! Still, would love to own this. https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Civic-1-8-VTI-Very-Low-Mileage-ONLY-18K-Service-History-Lot-of-paperwork/233074530457?hash=item3644531899:g:VQUAAOSwTY9buQTO:rk:4:pf:0 Pic of the car

So, going for full MTEC brake change and fitting some HEL braided lines at the same time. Just gone to take the first front brake hose off. All gone smoothly, drained hose, all disconnected, removed the sliding metal clip for the top fixing where the hose connects to the brake line. AAAnnnndddd.......... What the chuff is still holding this onto the bracket? Ive unscrewed the brake line nut, removed clip on top, can't anything else that should come off or move, is it just the power of 20 years worth of corrosion holding it on? should it pull down through the little bracket? or it it part of the bracket?

Does anyone have supersprint (923125) silencer in their MB6? what is the diameter? 2.25? 2.5? I have 2.5 piping at the moment. Muffler/silencer should ideally be 2.5 too. Supersprint seem pricey but i suppose it's a quality product? Sounds are usually fine too but what about on MB6? Anyone here had one? Too loud? Booming noice? "Ricey"? I don't want too loud but some sound would be nice. Current one is too booming under hard gas or high way speeds in general. Any suggestions? Some magnaflow oval? What are the specs for original exhaust system with MB6? Pipe diameter? Never had original in mine when i got so it would be interesting to know.

Hi people I am removing my power steering on my vtis that I use for track days. The car never gets used on the road so I don't have to worry about parking it with heavy steering. I removed the belt to see how it felt and I don't find it to bad so next is to remove it completely. I was going to remove the rack to open it up and do the depower mod but though while it's off I might aswell put a different one on that is quicker lock to lock, as the turn in isn't that great so a shorter ratio rack that's been depowered would hopefully be a big improvement. There is lots of info out there but no one seems to know for sure and some info contradicts what others have said. So as this is the home of mb6 experts I'm hoping someone here can shed some light on what would be a good replacement rack that is a straight swap.

Hi new to the forum, picked up this mb6 totally standard apart from coilover a month ago and since then I've added an omp wheel and quick release, new carpets, added an aem induction kit, aluminium rad and red coolant hoses, decat, custom spark plug cover, bonnet raisers and few wee tidy up bits, I've owned a few hondas before this, had am ej6 civic coupe with a b18c4 conversion and also owned an accord type r, but its quite a clean mb6 so don't want to do to much to it or anything done it can be put back, but interested in probably one of the most asked questions of making the custom projector headlights? And looking a nice set of alloys, recommendations? Thanks

Looking for some help please people, like many others the terrible Infra Red remote locking fob has stopped working for my car. I got the remote from the ex-ex owner of my car (been in the family since new) and it was totally disconnected having not been used for years. not lighting up even with new batteries, absolutely dead and I've since lost it anyway. If the opportunity was there to buy a brand new remote/fob, how easy is it to get this coded to your car's code? I imagine it will be a Honda dealership jobby, but what is it likely to set me back? Bearing in mind I will have a brand new never used remote? Thanks! (I know an aftermarket central locking system would no doubt be cheaper but there's also all the wiring involved and paying somebody to do it!)

Hey iam here again, couldnt find my old topic tho... what happened? I just did some trackday after few years. Finally with MeisterR and everything o modded on my suspension. And iam happy. It works.. the second session was on stiffest (rear +5 to softer) and it was good. Its more oversteery. I still think its better to have 8/5 springs than 8/6 btw. I would like to test it how that works. Maybe I will try to get different springs to back, little softer. So I will post the trackday videos here and I also done some roadtrip around Bohemia with my Civic. Its a big project, so it will take time to make the documentary, but i will post it here too, so you can see how my country looks like from an MB6 seat enjoy the videos (only 2 because I ran out of brakepads )
