  1. hi all, time to make a start on my project thread. Been lurking a couple of months gathering parts and doing some research, and getting bored with the stock 100,000 mile tired old mb6 so it's time to pull my finger out and start modding. Parts so far: Ebay coilovers powerflex bushings various hard parts (tie rods etc.) plastic whales p***s new ht leads and dizzy cap/rotor bosch battery 4-1 ebay manifold drilled & grooved discs with mintex pads buddy club p1 16x7j wheels with toyo t1r's kenwood head unit, kenwood 10'' sub and jbl amp misc fluids etc. I have a set of new old stock itr pistons (pr3) and a 98 type r cylinder head (p72) with valves and springs but no cams. I plan on doing a full rebuild and hi comp N/A build in the future but for now i just want to get the car lightly modded and sitting right, work out the issues. Been hit with health problems recently so i'm not going to be overseas working for a coupla months which sucks so moneys gonna be tight but i will have plenty of time. Lucky for me i have a decent sized workshop with full sized pit with overhead beam and hoist, just need to get off my a*s and get it cleared out properly, nearly there. You'll be seeing plenty of pics over the next few weeks anyway so looking forward to you guys feedback along the way. Lets do this. mb6 with it's little brother S205OBY wheel choice voltmeter sounds will upload more pics soon
  2. Hi! I bought her April 1, 2014. I just show my pictures about her, from the last almost 3 years. Bought in stock, non-care body condition. First picture from 2014 Honda meet, after few days ownership. the one on the left. Headlights already polished a bit. End of summer, 2014 That was my first headlight mod. Lowered on stock shocks & Apexi springs 2015 with new wheels. Drag Wheels DR-9 & friends Then in february, 2016, the rebuild project started. It was a bit rusty on rear arches, also under the skirts. had some scratches on the body... Donor car SAFETY FIRST!!! Lets go, get some paint! "Meanwhile at home" pictures... Parts on the way home.. This is where the rebuild begins... First wheel paint job for fun Stock :\ Almost there... end of 2016 summer season... When you have a hundred mile in the car since paint job, and a stupid woman gives full throttle and goes backward. But forget that b*tch, lets go on. almost end of this thread. Here is my beauty Badge repainted Last headlight polish before season closer honda meet. So called "Brazzers"
  3. Has anyone ever bought a synchro kits before if so where from? I'm trying to find reasonable price synchros :/ as I am about to also get started on full engine rebuild
  4. Hi all this is my VTiS, i've had the car for about 3 years but only just started driving it again after having a lease car for 2 years. was sitting for 2 years being neglected so getting on it now and getting back to its former glory. Got it through the MOT (just) and back driving it everyday and how I've missed the beast. been driving a leon diesel so missed the vtec roar, glad to have it back in my life. I've been having problems with rust on the arches would you believe but that is now being sorted by me (my first body work project). got an exhaust to fit now and just need some lowering springs to give it that stance that I love. anyway here are some pictures and more will follow as the project comes along. any suggestions welcome!!
  5. I'm looking to uprate my mounts while iv got the engine out just wounding are the eg/dc2 kits the right ones to go for are cars?
  6. Hi! Anybody ever tuned a slightly modded MB6? I have stock b18c4 with ITR airbox+CAI and 2.25" catback, decat, Greddy 4-2-1 header. What could be the results with remapped P28 ecu?
  7. Hello everyone, I have started to inquire for the installation of cruise control on our MB6 inspired by Integra GSR USDM ,for now I already home the control unit the actuator and buttons for steering. As a guide for now I'm studying that this EG. http://www.civic-eg.com/causeforalarm/cruise_control/index.php I want to know someone in the forum has ever tried to set the cruise control on MB6?
  8. Hello, I searched but didn't find answer so. I'm looking for SS exhaust for MC2. I can buy Spoon, Skunk2 and other brands, but they do not make one for MC2 or MB6. I have used OEM MB6 exhaust on my EK3 with little cutting and welding at the back box and custom cat delete pipe, so I have reason to believe that DC2 or EM1 type exhaust can fit. Do you know if the MB6 and MC2 exhaust are the same. I know the part from the cat to LCA is the same, but how does the back box fit the rear bumper ? Also DC2 or EM1 exhaust fit MC2 or MB6 ? Thank you.

    HELP! Lol

Iv just gone to fit a toyosports 60mm cat back but it's coming up to short wher it meets the cat I had a powerflow made up jobbie on it since iv owned the car! So what I'm asking are there diffrent length after market manifolds? As iv got a toyosports 4,2,1 on atm but underneath it is very close to the left hand side of the sump if your looking at it towards the front of the car, also there's a bracket that's been bent out of the way so I'm 99% sure it's not for my b18c4
  10. As titled, not that I like them nor like the look of them but do they make them for mbs? As I have just had my car resprayed and have got a few long trips coming up this year and don't fancy a stone chipped bonnet agen lol
  11. Hi! So... Is there any bolts-on part of the engine, that needs maintenance, cleaning after stock 160k miles? On B18c4 engine. Like throttle body, parts on intake manifold etc, those that can get dirty and decrease a bit power, or makes worse fuel economy. I think it would be great, if we get these easy to do maintenances together.
  12. Does anyone else run a toyosports 60mm cat back if yes what mani and cat/decat are you using???? thanks
  13. Hey guys wonder if you can help.i have a 98 5dr Civic vti and have bought a subframe tiebar & control arms(not factory) having problems finding the right bolts and Arab links to fit my control arms.also I have abs lines running over the current subframe, how do I work around this and where can I find the right links and bolts to fit
  14. Will they stuck out from fenders/arches? They are already rolled and pulled by previous owner. I don't wan't any camber adjustments. Bad for tires, wallet and winter conditions. Previous owner had Japan Racing JR3 wheels with et 20-22 in the back (17x9). Sure they stuck out lil bit but it was okay with stretched tires. I'm looking at these: http://www.nlmotoring.com/Avid-1-AV-12-Wheels-16x8-Gold-p/av121680ma25gd.htm 16x8 Offset [+25mm] (I would pick 15's but can't find those locally with 114 and et25 fitment). I wonder if such "deep dish" wheels fit MB6 without camber adjustments? I mean ET 25 should be manageable if those JR3's fitted, right? But does wheel design affect how much it actually comes outwards? I've seen some EK and EG Civics with those wheels and they struggle i guess. Looks good on those but MB6 have stock ET of 55 vs. other Civics 40-45. Fenders and arches are pulled out as much as they can i'd say. Does anyone here have experience on fitting similar style wheels on MB6 without camber adjustments? Does pulled fenders and mild stretched tires solve it? Another problem i fear is caliper clearance in the front... Bigger calipers than stock Civics. If it needs spacers bigger than 3mm. i think it's a "no go" then. Assuming they would fit, what tire profile would be the best? I have now stock 15's and lowered car pretty much in the same level as wheels (stanced/slammed some would possibly say ).
  15. Right I just put a standard backbox on the civic and I thought with a blox intake and a dc2 and whales p***s intake the induction would be loud, it's not in fact it's very quite compared to one's ive listened too on net. could the boy who put blox mani on have done something wrong? what other ideas do people think could coz this, thanks
  16. Hi everyone it's been about a week or so since I joined Civic5 so thought it was about time that I started a build thread. The Mb's been in my family since new and has been kept standard and well pampered it's whole life but after 16 years could be doing with a few upgrades so it can keep up with its modern day counterparts. Apart from a ABS sensor, couple of saggy doorcard fabrics and some lacquer peel on the spoiler its pretty much straight onto upgrades. Once I've got my Impreza out the garage and back on the road at the end of the month the civic will be going in and getting stripped down/rebuilt. Main focus is going to be on the suspension/brakes as at the moment they can only be described as tragic! Had originally planned on a ATR spoiler and Accord sport wheels but decided I'm going with something completely different now. Anyway enough talking here's some pics....... First job is to definitely sort out the tailgate!
  17. Hi! I had new clutch in 2015 (aisin), before that, shifting gears was smooth, except the worn clutch. After the change, 2nd gear is harder to shift a bit and in 4th gear I feel the knob moving a tiny bit on pushing and releasing gas pedal. So I guess its nor syncro, since it was smooth shifting before that service. Using MTF-3. Since that, I've got a new clutch again, but it wasnt the problem, cuz its still doing that. My last idea is linkage bushing replace maybe. Looking for advices, ideas about the problem, also looking for info about lingage bushing. which, where etc. cheeers

So, how to make nice fitment, get the wheels out to line of the arch? pictures, ideas, tips? I need around 10mm i think, but Idont want to dent my front fender arch :\ pics about current setup:
  19. Hi! Injectors are very noisy on my b18c4. Is it normal they have ticky sound? Any ideas for cleaning? Long time ago, I used some fuel system cleaner stuff added to normal 95, after that, I replaced fuel fllter. then I used 95 premium around 70% of my fuelings, to keep the system clean. other 30% is normal 95..
  20. When I first signed up here I mentioned I'd have an MB6 in a few months. It has now been a few months. It's a completely standard (for now!) Sicilian Red VTi with 90k on the clock. We've had it in the family for 8 years and I actually had the pleasure of learning to drive in it. Probably why I passed first time. I'm picking the car up from my parents' place on Saturday (which is when their insurance ends and mine starts) so for now here's a few pictures I took a while ago. 21. I've been looking around for a little bit of information but the main info I've found is related to the MB6 VTI-S.. I have a 1.4 Sport MB (MB3 / MB8 depending on who you speak too!) it has Half leathers, AC, PAS, Leather stitched wheel (did until I yanked it out for a Vertex wheel), Electric Windows (front), Electric Mirrors (adjust & Heat), carbon-look trim around knob, grills etc, Leather stitched honda gear knob. Now apart from the MB6 which has 99% the same interior I have found, what other differences across the range have what? I know theres that wood/tortoise shell looking trim option too but wondered if there was anything exclusive to the VTIS/VTI/Sport? and I was lead to believe the VTIS was the only model in Pirated black, Theres a 1.6 VTEC MB round the corner in PB, doesn't have wing or anything like the trim, has stock fabric seats, no AC yet the colour is definitely black that flips into purple as PB does.. Ideas?
  22. i've heard MB6 has thicker front (26mm?) and rear (18mm?) swaybars than "normal" Civics. Where can i find bushings? I'm looking at Energy suspension ones (i prefer polyurethane if possible). Where should i buy them? I could'nt find 18mm rear from energy suspension which would be direct fit. http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/16.5110 Can that fit rear for MB6? I'ts meant for front but tha size is correct. Is it possible to fit front sway bushes to rear? They shouldn't be that different, right? Both are D-shaped right?http://www.energysuspensionparts.com/16.5130 I found this for front. But the rear is questionable. And i should find those from European store to spare in customs and shipping costs... I need quick answers. I can find those part numbers from AKR perfomance (30e shipping costs)
  23. Hey! Has any of you heard or had any MAXGEAR wheel bearings? http://maxgear.pl/product-range-drive-o106.en.html I can get those for 30 Euros (rear axle) from webstore. Others are: Japanparts at 47 Euros. BTA 52 euros, OPTIMAL 78 Euros. SKF 75 euros (supposedly OEM quality). What wheel bearings should i get? Have any of you heard of any of those brands? How much would you pay for that part yourself?
  24. Hello all, Im really starting to lose love in my mb i have had it for a year and its been going good but a month ago something from the front end started whining. It only happens once you slightly press the accelerator or when you're maintaining speed, like holding at 30... Once i depress the clutch the noise disappears. I had my mainshaft bearings replaced and i have replaced the clutch and thrust bearing. Nothing had changed :/ The whine started when my brother missed a gear and obviously it high revved ( didnt hit limiter) Cheers!
  25. Hi folks, just looking for some input for my gearbox set up to go in my track car. I have to leave the engine standard so want to make best use of the power avaliable. I'm looking for the shortest gearbox avaliable which I hear is a s80, 4.7 final drive with 4th and 5th from s4c. Think it has LSD aswell but not sure. Will also be fitting uprated clutch and lightened flywheel. Going to remove the power steering aswell to give me back the small amount of power it takes to run. Anyone know if there is a better gearbox I should be looking at and what I can do to improve it remembering it will be used for racing. Is there also anything else people can think of to get the most out of the engine and improve reliability? Thanks
