  1. Hi guys and gals. Just thought I'd throw up a post about my latest acquisition, a 99 VTi-S Aerodeck. I used to own an 97 Aerodeck VTi In silver with the VTi-S kit that I loved and should't have sold, after 30+ Honda's it's still one of the top three. At the time of me getting my VTi another guy local to be bought this car, and he used it on and off for the few years he had it then parked it up when it developed a distributor fault and wouldn't start. She sat of the drive for the next nine months. When I heard she was going up for sale I went and got it as soon as I could, and I've since been trying my best to get her back to the condition she deserves to be in (with how many left saying there's only 32 of these left I think she should be pretty minty). When I first got her she's was in a pretty sorry state, having be parked for months in a hedge. After giving if a quick was it was down to the MOT station to get a health check. Annoyingly it didn't quite fill a page but was close, all typical Honda problems that I've fixed far to many times before. Got them all sorted and she flew through the next test. Since the MOT I've been going through the little niggles getting bits done (removing the light tints, sorting the rear plate recess, getting the stereo working) up until this past weekend when the B18C4 was removed. My one complaint of my previous MC2 was the power, she was always lacking in some grunt so seeing as I'm currently K24 swapping my track car (98 UKDM integra) I had a really healthy B18C6 and S80 spare. With a few friends we managed to get both engines out and the C6 fitted back into the 'deck and running in 7hours. Still have Jobs to do on her, I'm just starting the process of adapting a DC2 HKS silent Hi-power exhaust system to fit the car (B18C engine need 60mm exhaust systems to be at their full potential), have a mid wing currently being painted along with the front bumper and lip, and I have to get the sunroof retracting as it's currently only going back about an inch. While the headliner is out in also going to retrim it in black suede aswell as the pillar plastics. Ive added a few pics of the progress so far and I'll put some more up once I've got some more progress.
  2. Hey everyone! I used to be on here a few years ago and had an mb2 and 2 mb6s, and ive had this deck for around 2 years now, had 44000 miles when i got it and its just hit 60000 now, sitting on kw coilovers and dc2 wheels Nice to come back on and see all the M's
  3. Said I'd start a thread to document bits I'm doing to the aerodeck. Anyways picked up my titan silver 2001/y reg mc1 aerodeck has the 1.6 single cam vtec d16w4. Always wanted an aerodeck seen one when I was about 12-13 and I was in love. As they were never sold in Ireland they are fairly rare over here I've seen less than 10 in my lifetime. Anyways here's some pics and spec D16w4 bog standard except whale p***s and decat 8j bbs rs reps Suspension was running tein superstreets from an eg but when back to the oem setup as was to low and just unfunctional K sport rear camber arms Limo tints and front visor 8000k hid kit. Full vti half leathers Ek9 steering wheel Team heko wind deflectors Full sound system new speakers and door tweeters Just picked up a full vtis lip kit and mid Spoiler Wich should have fitted soon
  4. http://www.autotrader.co.uk/classified/advert/201703253680189?atmobcid=soc3 67k... Doesn't look like it's had any modding.. Wants £1,150 for it. Nothing to do with me, but looks like a good deal
  5. Right, fingers on buzzers... Nominations are GO! Voting will start on Tuesday night so get them in quick.
  6. Found this on eBay, 34 thousand miles on it! Short MOT and needs a bit of love but wouldn't take much to make that a stunning deck. Hope someone here buys it! http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Honda-Civic-VTI-MC2-Aerodeck-B18C4-/162382525289?hash=item25cec0b369:g:g1oAAOSwTglYlL1l
  7. I need a new lambda sensor, but knowing how 'particular' our cars are, what make of sensor would you recommend, any I should avoid?
  8. does anyone knows if the inner tie rod for a eg would work on a mc2? If I look at the drawings of the mc2, you can't buy them apart. http://www.lingshondaparts.com/honda_car_parts_selection_pfk.php?block_01=17S1E01&block_02=B__3310&block_03=7801&block_05=hcr should these work? http://www.hardrace.co.uk/hard-race-honda-civic-eg-hard-tie-rod-oe-style-2pcs.html And should these work for the steering rack? You only need this or new collars also?
  9. Okey dokie peeps... First one of the year. Roll up roll up and get your nominations in
  10. Hey guys wonder if you can help.i have a 98 5dr Civic vti and have bought a subframe tiebar & control arms(not factory) having problems finding the right bolts and Arab links to fit my control arms.also I have abs lines running over the current subframe, how do I work around this and where can I find the right links and bolts to fit
  11. So after selling my impreza I've been on the lookout for another civic. An aerodeck vti was top of the list after having had several eg's previously. So this one came up on Tuesday. Pirates Black, 177k miles but an honest car. Clean mot and no major issues. She needs some love to sort out some small issues - scrape on the ns wing and rear door/arch. A bit of rust on the arch as a result of the scrape but the rest looks sound. No rust on the drivers arch that I can see. Needs front suspension bushes and possibly fresh engine mounts but the engine and box are sweet. No smoke at all, no tappet noise etc. Not bad for 800 notes! 230 mile round trip though but worth saving her from being broken. This will be a gradual project to restore and add some subtle improvements along the way. Pics will be added later as she stands now.

  13. Time to vote for @powerofdreams @Daveor @dogg1210, coz mine has a wet seat belt and is scruffy as hell at the minute with scruffy winter wheels... thanks though @Chandler Still zooms though Will sort out the pics tomorrow when I'm not drunk
  14. Hello, I know alot of people running Meisterr coilovers and they are specific for civic MB6. I saw a thread of someone saying the ride height range from the meisterR crd are not that good if we want to drop like 3cm because the shocks are already 4 or 5 cm shorter thank stock. My question is, what is the max riding height ? Any pictures ? Arent meisterr suppose to have a close max rid height like stock since they are specific ? thanks
  15. Was just looking on ignition car parts site for new dizzy cap and rotor, and noticed that they do abs sensors. They didn't pick up my reg on the search, and the mc2 isn't listed in any of the compatibility charts, but I did a search on the honda part number for a rear sensor and it took me to this page http://www.ignitioncarparts.co.uk/PartDetails.aspx?s_pc=SMP-60094&s_vid= Like i say, a couple of ms are listed (diesels) but not others, so be cautious and check before buying, but £73 for a new sensor is the best price I've seen... And I've done some looking over the years.
  16. Having gone through a series of issues with supplied parts recently I and a few friends I've worked with in the past are looking to setup a small speedshop that also caters for standard parts. I've spoken to Dave here about prospectively becoming a trader but to do that I need to get setup first.. And before I can get setup I need to do some market research! I'm in the midst of building a webstore with a metric f**ktonne of encryption and various other backups towards security. We're hoping to cater directly for the MB/MC chassis with a range of tried-tested parts, Initially, We are looking to stock things like Intake kits, Silicone hoses, dress-up parts and eventually would like to stock everything from internal components, suspension components to fiberglass panels. We're looking to also stock service kits both upgraded and standard spec parts. I've spoken to an engineering firm who're willing to do a limited run of exhaust systems for both the Aerodeck and fastback civics in both D and B series I have got a few companies on board right now with meetings and talks setup with brands such as Lucas oils, Exol oils, ADL Blueprint / Bilstien, Mahle etc. I've also been in contact with 3 of the major "shiny bits" companies like BWR, ASR and Function7, Two of the brands are quite interested in doing a modified Aerodeck option to their braces due to the 4mm closer in bolt holes, the other wasn't as excited. We're looking for some input here so if you have anything that you would like to see available off the shelf with direct support and fitment, I'll be happy to listen! Finch
  17. Stumbled across this today http://www.rac.co.uk/drive/car-reviews/honda/civic/207658/
  18. Need to replace my inner cv boots, does anyone know for sure the measurements for these? I looked up the OEM part number from Lings (44017SR3900) and after some googling most (but not all) results pointed my in the direction of inner diameter 22mm / 76mm. Can someone verify this please? Thanks.
  19. You heard the man... Get voting already... what are you lot waiting for @dogg1210 @powerofdreams @21cardo @JK1245 @Anthony @Chandler
