  1. Hey all, A question I'm not just 100% sure on and maybe somebody can help. I got my hands on a set of pistons and rods for the vti deck. Now on closer inspection it appears I have got type r rods and pistons. So the question is, can I put these straight into the standard c4? Mixed answers online. Some saying cams and a map are needed. Or would I be able just to put them straight in with no real.dramas? Many thanks all.

  3. A 1.6 VTEC Aerodeck that is suitable for my purposes as it meets the London emissions rules has come up for sale. Unfortunately It is almost 150 miles away with no MOT. That makes going to look at it a problem with lockdown and the risk of being fined. Whenever these cars come up for sale they are never anywhere near London. The mileage is 139,000. Seller claims the manual gearbox is noisy. Asking price is £300. It failed an MOT earlier this month on the list of problems below. Looking through its history it has never failed on any structural rust which is a good sign. These defects seem like they could be sorted fairly easily. Does this seem like it could be a worthwhile project? Do not drive until repaired (dangerous defects): Offside Front Tyre has ply or cords exposed (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) Nearside Front Tyre has ply or cords exposed (5.2.3 (d) (ii)) Repair immediately (major defects): Offside Stop lamp(s) not working (4.3.1 (a) (ii)) Service brake excessively fluctuating both front (1.2.1 (e)) Exhaust hydrocarbon content after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits (8.2.1.2 (b)) Exhaust carbon monoxide content after 2nd fast idle exceeds default limits (8.2.1.2 (b)) Exhaust Lambda reading after 2nd fast idle outside specified limits (8.2.1.2 (c)) Exhaust carbon monoxide content at idle exceeds default limits (8.2.1.2 (b)) Repair as soon as possible (minor defects): Windscreen damaged but not adversely affecting driver's view (3.2 (a) (i)) Monitor and repair if necessary (advisories): Oil leak, but not excessive (8.4.1 (a) (i)) Fuel filler hoses heavily corroded Nearside Front Service brake binding but not excessively (1.2.1 (f)) Offside Rear Suspension arm pin or bush worn but not resulting in excessive movement trailing (5.3.4 (a) (i)) Brake disc worn, pitted or scored, but not seriously weakened front (1.1.14 (a) (ii))
  4. Hi guys! Just got my oem bbig foglights.. my deck didn't have any so have to change the switch. But one set of wires was cutout can you guys help me find out where does the cut wires go? And will i need a separate foglight relay or controller?
  5. Hi guys i need help with my aerodeck! So my deck is fitted with headlight washers, my dimmer switch is f**ked so had to short the black and red wires. But then my headlight washers switches my rear foglights. Rear foglight switch doesn't do anything. Please help!
  6. I came across this roverdeck today and thought I'd share it on here and see what u guys think about it
  7. So after about 18 month of breaking up my saloon I missed my civic to much so I swapped my is200 sport cross for a completely stock manual d16w4 aerodeck back in October. It’s had 160,000 miles on it, “was” really clean came with mint headlight covers and the red key still in its box unused. Couple months have gone by got it motd and started working on it. Had all this done so far. She’s had brand new HSD dualtechs, hkb boss kit, personal wheel, rear camber arms, mesh grill, ek spoiler, dewiper, de chromed headlights, roof rail delete, back box and cat delete. Plus a few other extra bits. At the moment she’s on a set of 15x7 WORK EWINGs with brand new toyo proxes TR1s (bloody good i must say much better that the predecessor ditch finders lol) Got a lot plan with as you can probably guess for the title. The main thing will be sorting the large amount of rust that’s been found behind the plastic sills. I have the car on Instagram to with updates Divergent7_7. Stay tuned

Civic5 How to guide No 8 - JDM style twin rear fog lights mod. This guide shows you how to modify your Honda Civic 5 door MA/MB rear lights to incorporate twin rear fog lights. This guide could also be used to do the same mod to the Honda Civic 5 door Aerodeck models too, although there may be some slight differences. Big thanks to member Dan1 for this great How To guide!
  9. Ok, when parked up, how long does your battery stay charged in your Civic M? Let us know below! Also include whether you have an after market alarm turned on or not too. Know these cars seem to not like being left parked up with the battery connected for long periods of time, but looking to see what the average park up period is on them before the battery goes flat. And is it just a myth that it is the little clock in the dash that drains it? Use template below (copy/paste) Battery lasts: Alarm on?: Any extra info:
  10. So looking to replace the drop links for the MGZS ARB on the Deck, and went to Rimmerbros as you do. They're out of stock, but using the part number on ebay brings up drop links that are also compatible with EGs. Are they the same? I always remember folk saying that the MG ones had a better design than the honda ones. MG Honda EBay

  12. Looking for poly steering rack bushes for my VTi. Do DC2/EG ones fit or others? Cheers.
  13. So, I saw this on ebay a while ago, and can't get my head around it for some reason. https://www.ebay.de/itm/114228513404 Am I imagining it that this isn't there as standard? There's the little rubber strip round the lip of the arch, then beyond that it's just treated metal unlike the front arches?

  15. Was just reading this on top gear. Think that this sort of product is going to be more common. https://www.topgear.com/car-news/electric/what-would-you-do-107bhp-crate-electric-motor I bet ecu modification suddenly becomes more complicated though... Especially if you want a motor for each rear wheel
  16. Saw this YouTube video and an Aerodeck had a cameo roll; Skip video to 7.59 for Aerodeck!

  18. So I was removing the front bumper of my mb1 to get to my fogs and noticed there's no safety bar. Is this normal or is it missing?

  20. well I'm new to the whole aerodeck club really, but I've always know about them and had a soft spot for them and now I've got myself one! I've managed to get myself a rust free vti aerodeck with loads of history and less than 100k on the clocks.. just lol. the engine and box are great very smooth and quite and the aircon even works! there's a knocking on the suspension/steering somewhere, I think its a track rod so those will be changes this weekend. the rear brakes were past it so it's had new disks and pads on the rear. But I'm pretty sure the rear sliders are sticking so that's another job to check over. the sunroof needs a new seal it doesn't let water in but the noise on the motorway! the drivers window also need looking at. it's as if its sitting lower on one end and when you put the window up it drags in the window seal. then it just needs a parcel shelf, a new horn, rear bumper and boot lid could do with some tlc or swapping and the drivers wing could do with being changed if the dent can't be pulled out. not to bad for an bus right? now for the goodies! I've bought a few little bits for it first of all was a vtis kit front and rear skirts and side skirts then I found a mid spoiler on eBay pretty cheep so I bought that right away! the kit does need painting so I'm not sure when I'll be able to get that done. I managed to get a set of genuine floor mats for free and they're pretty mint. Today I've had a new set of wheels delivered in the form of 16x7 rota fighters with brand new yoko tyres. can't wait to see them on! the next step now is coilovers which I'm thinking about ordering after payday. exciting times! I'll leave it there for now. I'll try get some pictures up over the weekend. Dan
