  1. hi everybody guess who bought another civic mb1 sr vtec...yeaaah it's me it was a very good deal, near my home... so i bought it 300€ (217£), she has 127 000 miles (197 000 km ) very good conditions,, and i bought her to english people !! unfortunatly i wasn't here to talk with them as you can imagine, at this price, the need some reparations so it's a mb1 sr vtec of course (rare in France, or so expansive), d16y2 as you know. she is grey, perfect for my collection of MB1 lol ^^ good points : - her mileage ! -4 electric windows work good - clutch look ok - interior is very clean, exterior too ! - the engine looks good, sec - it's a SR ^^ bad points / or to do : - tyres ( i ' ve the old wheel of my white) - front and rear brake ( disk + pads) + brake caliper - exhaust, and o2 sensor (check engine) - all drains and filter (air, oil, fuel....) - spark... there is a little rust but it's ok all she needs to drive ^^ we will do everything 'cause we don't have invoices of the last owner! at the moment she doesn't able to drive ( one rear brake caliper is bloqued or broke ) but we will make all of this with love, like my other MB so now, i've got 3 mb1 somes pictures mae
  2. this is my civic mb2 1.4 and its my first car and im very keen on getting some mods done to it! here is what she looks like at the moment. some of you may not like the stickers or the painted hub caps but they are temparary till i get some alloys i think they looks alright when they are moving let me know what you think
  3. it's about bloody time, i got this started.... for those who don't know this is the history of the car --->http://www.civic5.com/forum/viewtopic.php?f=141&t=7121 and as for the last currant post was this on the 8 april 2012. it's taken me 8 month's to start it... right. bought it from chris, but i think it was the worst kept secret on the forum right photo's... i don't seem to of have the best of luck with her at time's. i had some twat rip the front lip off the car, but thank's to krzys for a replacement i've had th rear number plate go missing in lincoln but i've found that horrible rattle that chris couldn't find.... i'll get i picture of it tommorow, as it's in for mot. (it'll pass, one way or another.. ) now do i shove £20 note's under the brake line's... as a project, i didn't have any really direction to go with her. so i when i got it back to work, i did an oil change and enjoyed her for what she is. as the most epic estate car of all time of course... many people took one look at it and laughted at it..... untill we went for a spin  and then they under stood what it was all about..... and with it having a towbar (rear chassis brace for the non believers ) it's has it use's... towbar mounted bike rack... pulling trailer's.... well i didn't want all that crap in the boot..... i've done a few bit's to it such as mud flap's from weetec. to help reduce the amount of shite up the side of the car... and some sticker's WACK11111 and what not. but i have got plan's for it though.... it has some thing to do with this.... and this... that's all for now, i might up date this once/twice a year though...

    Strutbraces... What fits?

I'm looking for a front/back strutbrace to fit the MB I bought, I know the MB shares alot of parts with other Honda's so I'm wondering if something is cross compatible like off a DC2 etc The DC2 and EG upper/lower lca's, ARBs, coilovers, arms, wishbones all fit the MB as far as I can remember... So I wonder if the DC2's upper strut points are the same width apart...
  5. 6. Hello I had a little accident with a badger, so i have to replace my Front bumper. Can anyone tell me which models are similar to the MB3 so i can simply put their bumper on it? Dont know if all ma, mb & mc models have the same dimensions etc. Thanks!
  7. Hi guys, not been on here for a wee while now since I swapped my aerodeck last year. Swapped for a ej6 coupe which I had planned on putting my b18c4 into. Spent a bit of time fitting some bits and pieces and gathering parts for converting it from a d series to b. Some pics... So I fitted a ek9 grill and front lip and done a wee bit colour doing. Fitted Impreza turbo front seats (£20 bargain) wind deflectors, sunstrip, short shifter, Kode steering wheel, Rita circuits 15" et38, 300mm ep3 front brakes, 5zigen border 304 back box with custom pipe work that I done myself, new number plates, generally just cleaning it up. Was browsing the Facebook for sale pages one day and seen a b16 converted ej8 coupe, local and for much cheapness. It was needing some work but with the parts fitted to it I thought that I could combine the two cars to make one good one. It's a clean base but needs tidying. Has a purple passengers side wing, silver grill, washer bottle motor not working, bolts missing, exhaust hitting fuel tank, short shifter snapped, leaking radiator and gearbox is missing 4th lol but for £900 I think it's not bad. Has miester r coilovers, vti fan blades, aem v2, skunk2 alpha manifold, cat back exhaust with buddyclub back box, skunk2 lcas and beaks bar. Iv had it 3 weeks now and made a start swapping and fixing things. So far iv repaired exhaust manifold, made a manifold back b pipe, fitted new washer pump, Rita wheels, Impreza seats,Kode wheel, centre console, linkages and short shifter, painted wing and grill. Still need to service it and fit my 300mm brakes. Think it will be nice in the end

  13. Right... fresh start with a new car! After having an accident in my MB3 quite recently, I have to get another car to take my mind of it. So my oleman decided to help me out on buying me another M! A week later I have found a 1998 Honda Civic Aerodeck MB9 in Pirates Black! Strangely this model doesn't have Air Conditioning? I saw it on Gumtree advertised for £385. It was cheap mainly because it had 158'000 miles on the clock (we all know this is nothing to a Honda) Even though it was 300 miles away, I was determined to buy that car! Bad points: The first thing I noticed was the rust on the rear arches, but I seen worst... Scratches all over, heavy scuffs around the bumpers, a very nasty deep dent on the rear panel, no rear door handle, a broken drivers side mirror and a broken aerial. The bonnet catch has a mind of it's own (one minute it will shut, next minute it won't!) Petrol cap flap doesn't close and the door locks are dodgy at times. Every interior air vent is broken, all door card cloths are stretched and SRS light is on. What's it like to drive? Well it has a very sticky throttle, brakes don't seem that effective and one of the rear brakes binding (common) The rear trailing arm bushes need replacing and the clutch has a very high biting point. Also the revs go up and down on idle (probably the Idle air control valve) So she had a hard life but I know I can replace every part on this car from my old Civic! Also with all these faults, I manged to knock £50 off as the seller didn't even know it had these faults. So I'm chuffed with that Good points: Eveything else works! Windows close properly and all 4 speeds on heaters work surprisingly! And it has a brand new OEM headlight! It has more bottom end grunt than my MB3 (even though the MB3 has less miles and more mods) Also the fuel economy is absolutely amazing! Filled the tank right up, done 360 miles and only used just over half a tank of fuel! Anyway enough yapping, here's a few not so great pictures. I will get more up tomorrow!!
  14. Hey all, I bought myself a black aerodeck vti a few months ago as a "daily" car but I've now decided to boost it and make it super amazing... Here she is in her standard form, bought it with only 93,000 miles and a few issues like airbag light on, cracked windscreen, dented drivers rear door (quite bad and looks man made), torn steering wheel, ripped and hanging door card material... I have sorted the airbag light but still have all the other issues which will be very easy to sort so I'm Not too fussed but sourcing a door in my particular black isn't easy and I'm still looking (It's NOT the Pirates black) As for the goodies that I have bought... Precision 5431E 4 bolt turbo TIAL .44mm wastegate SHEEPEY build ram horn exhaust manifold Skunk 2 black series ultra inlet Manifold Skunk 2 black series pro 70mm throttle body AEM fuel pressure regulator Skunk 2 composite fuel rail ID1000 injectors Prosport boost, oil pressure and oil temperature 60mm gauges AEM wideband 16" rota slipstreams resprayed chanpionship White MeisterR zeta S coilovers Cyberspeed LCA's Hondata 4 bar MAP sensor Hondata S300 V2 ECU with boost by gear installed Walbro 355l fuel pump EK9 camshafts Action stage 4 6paddle clutch kit Innovative billet alloy 60A engine mounts Skunk 2 alpha series radiator Blox slimline fan My car is booked in with RW developments in Lichfield in January to have all my custom work done which is - 3" downpipe back system Downpipe Screamer pipe 3" Boost pipes Intercooler Oil catch can Baffled sump Fittings welded on the rocker cover I'm sure there are things I have missed out and I still need to take a few more pictures of bits that I have including the car with the new alloys on and once I've fitted the coilovers to it too... Think I'm going to my unit this Sunday to fit the suspension and clutch... The White slipstreams look great on the car!!!
  15. As you may already know, i have a MB2 1.4s. Unfortunately i'm not active on the forum as much as i'd like to be at the moment.... So to make up for it, here is my photo whoring thread of the bits and pieces i have done already Got a new Sony radio with usb/aux. Carbon wrapped plastic parts under the radio. (gonna do some more wrapping when i get a bit more confident) my colour scheme is gonna be Silver/Black/Red... More photos to come..
  16. What should i do know or what ? More less i was revesing up the hill and i let the clutch out to hard by accident and i heard a bang and the car stopped and it wouldnt move.it was stuck in gear but we were able to revese it on up the hill and then there was a bad smell of clutch. Gear box is gone i think. He said something about a release bearing. It was on a 1.5 vtec engine, would it be hard to fix or what ?
  17. we did this once before here, as part of the MG ZS group buy of heated front screens. there is one last ever (I know I said the last time would be the last), and this really will be the last time as its not worth my time and hassle and I gain nothing from this...the last ever heated screen group buy the screens WILL come with a top tint, and are dual circuit heated. They are 25£ more than the last batch 5 years ago (inflation!) at £225+vat. its a real last minute thing coz I kinda forgot about you guys, but I have to place an order Monday 8th Feb and as before £100 deposit is required, non refundable as I would be stuck with the screen and I would still have to pay the balance, but if for any reason... find someone else to buy it, whatever, we just need to fulfil the order. Its done through Ricky Evans motorsport as before, they supply cars in the BTCC. They will not stock these screens, if they would I wouldn't have to go to all this hassle for nothing, so this really is the only way to get one, there will be none left over, what I order I have to pay for and you guys pay the same cost per screen as I do, we had to pay the tooling on the first batch, believe me, its no cheap process. Call me 07941 857777 or join teh dark side - MG ZS Owners club on facebook where there is a post, or prob better still, Jason simm on facebook, its the MGZS pic with the stelio pass in the background. Sorry its last minute, but I don't want to miss you guys out.
  18. I'm lucky enough to end up in Tokyo for 2 days in a few weeks and ofcourse will try to fit some car culture, preferably Honda into the trip. Does anyone know any car related spots/shops worth visiting in the city?
  19. When creating a topic, say your project thread for your car or maybe asking a question in the forum, and you've clicked "start new topic", you will see on the page under "Topic Title" a text box called "Topic Tags". This is for putting in tags (key words) that help your topic get recognized by search engines such as Google, Bing etc. This also bumps Civic5 up the search ratings because Google has found key words in your topic that match what someone is searching for. So here we will explain how to add tags. If you have already added tags, you can add more (we have updated the list) to your current topics by going to the first post in your topic, click edit then "full editor". Then just click the "add Tags" button as below. We have started updating your project threads/topics and have added tags to quite a few now, but feel free to update your own topics. For PC/Laptop/Tablet users: Ok, so you've clicked the "Start new topic" button, and your ready to create your topic. Once you have given your topic a title, in the "Topic tags" box click "Add a tag". (see Image 1 below) Image1 A drop down box will appear with a pre-defined list of tags. (see Image 2) Image2 Click on which ever tags suit your post. If possible, always add the tags "Honda Civic MA" or whatever civic you have, plus use the "Honda Civic Hatch" if it's a hatch you have or the "Honda Civic Aerodeck" one if you have a deck. If your topic is not something car related, still use the above two tags and also use the "General chat" tag. Here, we selected the "Honda Civic Aerodeck" and the "Honda Civic MC" tags and will also add the "How to DIY Guide" tag seeing as this is a guide.(Image 3) Image 3 Then just carry on creating your topic as usual. Easy! For Mobile users: When you click "Start new topic" button, your topic creation page shows. In the middle of the screen you will see a button called "Edit topic tags" (Image 1B) Image 1B Click the "Edit topic tags" and a drop down list will appear showing the available tags.
