  1. Hi, So I recently bought my Honda Civic VTi MB6 in the UK, but now I have to do a special "Import MOT" here in Belgium, so I need new headlights (LHD traffic) Now I'm looking for the headlights but I'm puzzled tbh.. I never had this much of a hard time finding out which are the good ones ? I see headlights that have an electrical "lightfield" adjustment and no lightreach adjustment and then others that have both, but I really dont know which is which tbh.. All I see is a switch to adjust the height of my headlights inside the car, is there another option to adjust the Width or something in specific MB/MC/MA's ? cheers
  2. Well, here's the build up of my first MB6. Only had her 5 days and already i'm in love with her!!! lol Oh, and she's been officially named Ruby! Goes with her Ruby red paint (ok, I know it's sicillian red!! ) I'm no stranger to M's have had my MA8 civic (blue Betty!) for around 5 years! Right, heres the info on her when I got her. 1998 S-reg sicillian read pearl 39,000 miles Full service history, 2 owners from new (Honda being the first, up to 6,000 miles, then the owner I bought her from at 38,500 miles) standard appart from A/M remote alarm imobiliser with ultrasonics (NOW REPLACED WITH NEW UPGRADED CAT 1 SYSTEM), detachable towbar (proper one from Honda , which will be coming off!) My Plan is to make her a VTiS replica, but in met red, instead of pirates black. So here she is This was on the way home at some motorway services (I spy Dawns aerodeck in the background! ) First mod was to ditch the orange side indicators for nice clear ones Next, it was onto the interior. She's spotless inside, but still gona give her a good clean, so heres how she looks now....I'll post up another once she's been fully valeted The one part of the interior that I wanted to change asap was the stereo! Was a pioneer good bit of kit in it's day, but i like me Cd's and MP3's so out it came and in its place, my Pioneer mp3 head unit (keeping it kinda oem, as it's still a pioneer ) And thats all the mods so far...........but there will be more to come. She's getting a full VTI-S body kit, VTI-S alloys (early style ones) poss tints, and a few other bits and bobs. Heres some pics of how she looks now after a wash! MODS SO FAR: Smoked side indicators Pioneer MP3 head unit (iPod compatible) (UPDATE: Now Alpine CDE9850Ri CD/MP3 with full iPod control)(Update again, now got a new Pioneer DAB/CD/USB head unit!) Powerflow Stainless steel exhaust (cat back) VTiS lip kit (side skirts still to be fitted) VTiS floor mats VTiS gearknob VTiS Speedline chrono alloys fully refurbed and powder coated in white ) TypeR Gear gator with red stitching Full leather (from ES model) fitted, along with the black door cards Honda horn (peep peep) removed, replaced air horns Lowered on Full MeisterR Zeta S coilover suspension
  3. As you all probably know iv bought burbleboys vti-s and very happy with it glad to be back in a Honda. Plans are to just drive it for a while as it's already sorted, save for a turbo kit next summer (possibly!) taking fly-eyes off as there just not my thing.
  4. One night i was in north London Edmonton and was given a ride home by a friend. He had a pirate black Aerodeck 1.8 vti,he took me from Edmonton to Islington and needless to say i was bitten by the "HONDA" bug. i couldn't believe the performance of this family estate...................... Next came the fast and furious and that was it,i wanted a MB6,but all my friends had pirate black MB6 so i wanted to get a different colour and after months of looking at MB6s i found a white MB6 in leeds..................(full story when you see me) my first mod was new wheel studs on all 4 wheels, this is the car as standard in 2007 .
  5. Current State: Original post & how things looked when I first got the MB! (so much has changed ) Hey all, Just wanted to post some pics of my latest addition. Super stoked and excited to get started with some subtle mods etc. Picked it up a couple weeks ago, only had 1 owner from new, 51,000 genuine hpi, dealer and M.O.T backed miles!!! with a full, and I mean every single stamp for its age service history from a main Honda dealer! Couldn't believe how clean the car was underneath / arches etc. Drives like new and has had no expense spared. Couldn't have asked for a better start for a project. Hoping to start with some small things like some new mats, skunk2 gear knob, clear side repeaters...that kind of thing. then looking to upgrade the brakes, suspension and Chassis. Once all thats sorted I'll take a look at the drivetrain, As after giving it a good couple runs I was thinkin that I want just a little more out of it. don't get me wrong, Im very pleased with the performance as it is and I love the sleeper vibe it has, surprises lot of people which is why I deffo want to keep the body stock over changing for the VTI-S kit. But I figure a stage 2 clutch, flywheel, Full exhaust incl headers and cat, decent CAI, Skunk2 Inlet mani, Cams and a map along with a couple other supporting mods would go along way in making the car stand out from the crowd and keep me satisfied for a good while. Anyway will keep things posted as I get on. Love The Colour It goes in the Sunlight!
  6. Hello Im looking at ATR buckets and ive seen some info here and there about how to fit but no clear description im wondering how hard it is to fit them into the mb6 how much modifying needed and is it worth my time? cheers!
  7. Hey everyone again Ive been offered a full skunk2 exhaust from a friend for cheap because of the beer tokens he owes I'm wondering do you have to modify a b series civic ek exhaust much to make it fit? This is a rough picture from a website.. cheers!
  8. Does anyone have any idea where i could source really good condition mats for my mb6? preferably vti-s ones or ones the have civic on them but doesnt matter too much! cheers!

  14. My Honda Civic MB6 1.8 VTI-S (Modified) Welcome to my pride and joy, this car was built in my garage starting in January 2012 and concluding in July 2013. I've always wanted to build a car from scratch, the bare shell all the way up and this was my opportunity to do it and do it my way. In 2011 I built a Civic VTI (the blue one) pretty much refurbished the whole car but didn't go anywhere near the attention to detail that I've paid on this one. Unfortunately I crashed that car (hence the pics at the start of the album) so from the ashes of that crash I stripped the car and kept all the bits scraping the old chassis. I then purchased a genuine Civic VTI-S from a guy in Salisbury, the car was in fairly good condition with no major damage and ran well - this I thought to my self would be the building block for my plan! Over the next 18 months the car was gutted and the whole chassis and body was rubbed down,re under sealed and prepped ready for paint. All the suspension and brakes where fitted before spraying with all components being carefully removed,re sprayed and re fitted or replaced with new or uprated parts. The vehicle was sprayed championship white, trailer'ed back to my garage and the rest of the rebuild continued..... The album shows a step by step guide to my journey through 2 winters which where not nice to work in! Dozens of cuts scars and self inflicted injure's and a very forgiving and understanding girlfriend to reach what I wanted to achieve. I've loved building her despite all the ups and downs and I'm kinda glad it's now done but with all projects - there never truly finished....... I hope you all enjoy my build thread There are more pictures on the link in the newbies section when i first said hey.... 15. I am going to UK (Newbury) for at least 3 months, maybe longer if I like it there, and thinking of getting rhd mb6 for my stay there and wonder how much you guys are paying for the mb6 insurance in the UK. My pirate black mb6 is in a bad shape so I could use the rhd car as a donor and get my lhd back to shape when I leave the uk project and go back. I am 32 (33 in a month), have a 10+ year clean record so I have the maximum discount (60% iirc) on the insurance in my country but not sure if that will count in UK. Currently I have my car (mb6) insured at a small cheap insurance company which is most probably not in UK as well. I would like to get some nice pirate black mb6 with good engine since my car still eats lots of oil on motorway even after an engine rebuild and the body is in a bad shape as well (lots of damage due to others bad parking and vandalism, no corrosion except small on the rear arch) and there are just too many things that needs sorting and I would have to spend crazy money to get it into the shape that I would be happy with. Would not mind getting a modified car. Seen few nice ones for sale but some have MOT and tax ending soon. Do modified cars cost more to insure? Do I have to tell them that it no longer has stock power figures (in case the power affects the insurance)? What mods are MOT failure and have to be removed for the MOT test? Guess non-levelling HID kit, decat, maybe even too loud exhaust would not pass MOT/emissions, maybe chipped ecu might be problem for emissions as well. Please let me know how much you pay for your mb6 insurance and add some details that you think affect the insurance price. Thanks for any info.

    South Wales Vti

Hi all, Just had time to start a thread. My Vti is my daily drive. Very rare colour...... Silver lol. Would of liked to bought one in a different colour but when i went to see it, it was brilliant condition, very low mileage with 56,000 on the clock and totally stock. 6 years later with 86,000 and a few mods, still loving it and wanting to improve. Not blessed with loads of cash but iv done most things myself. Once painted the stock alloys in gunmetal, back to silver now. Lowered on standard vti shocks, mg zs rear arb. Brilliant upgrade, noticed straight away after the first corner! Longlife exhaust with 3inch outward rolled tail pipe, induction kit, quickshift, painted rocker cover and a general detail of the engine bay. I dont spare any expense on the servicing, best oil, changing every 6,000 etc. Suprises a lot of peps with its stock performance but you all know that. The most reliable car iv owned and iv owned a few! Future plans, wheels, vtis kit but tryin some zs side skirts this weekend, bought cheap. S80 box as iv heard on here is prob the best upgrade! The one thing i havnt heard on here for an upgrade is the steering. Is there a quicker rack out there to make the steering more precise and more responsive? Look forward for any thoughts to improve and to look at some of your own cars for ideas. Cheers P.S struggling to put pics up from the phone
