  1. Hey ho. As some people might already know i ran over a badger. So now I need to replace my front bumper, but where can i find one? It shouldhave a "Materialgutachten" (a certificate which we need here in Germany to be able to put bodykits on our cars). I'm searching for weeks but I can't find anything, only lips or stuff for show-cars. Thanks!
  2. As you've seen else where the aerodeck has moved on to a new home. I was hoping to keep the deck and run it side by side with the crv but I was unable to find anywhere to store it. Anyway the new car. It's a 2005 Honda CR-V sport 2.0 auto 84k FSH and was a locally supplied car when new. It's a completely different drive to the deck. I've nicknamed it "the armchair" cos that is how comfy it is to drive. Pictures. Old and new... It's even got a table The powerplant It's Honda's K20a4 producing 150bhp, it pulls rather well and is well suited to the gearbox. 75mph is 3000rpm The gearbox is a 4spd auto with lock up torque converter. Matched with the Cruse control it makes for a lazy drive..
  3. Just joined the forum a couple of weeks ago when I got into the Honda game, needed a cheap run around with decent mpg so bought my mates MB3. Which is the 1.5 sport vtec-e so only £12 something tax and a healthy mpg figure. I've been over on the new members section but thought I would start a thread here for any updates and of course pictures As it belonged to a friend I wasn't too worried about it but knew it would need a few things, here are a couple pictures from when I went to look at it.
  4. Does anyone know oil capacity of a d15z8 gearbox please? Got the car booked in for a clutch change but they want an extra £25 to change the gearbox oil at the same time, just trying to work out if this is good value for money or not Thanks
  5. I used to be here ALOT on my old account.. it appears the familiar faces are around like @UnicyclingTom @Chandler @Grant but there used to be a random chat thread thing aswell where people posted utter b*ll***s, but ehhh the site seems a little confusing now!
  6. Here is my mb6 just recently got, At the moment it's on Koni shocks and springs, full Nortech exhaust and on 7th of may having my b18c6 fitted will upload more photos when the car is being to show you all the build Rocker cover is actually a lot darker than pictured
  7. Valve cover and inlet waiting for engine to be finished then in it goes to my mb6
  8. Hello I had a little accident with a badger, so i have to replace my Front bumper. Can anyone tell me which models are similar to the MB3 so i can simply put their bumper on it? Dont know if all ma, mb & mc models have the same dimensions etc. Thanks!

  14. Hi guys, not been on here for a wee while now since I swapped my aerodeck last year. Swapped for a ej6 coupe which I had planned on putting my b18c4 into. Spent a bit of time fitting some bits and pieces and gathering parts for converting it from a d series to b. Some pics... So I fitted a ek9 grill and front lip and done a wee bit colour doing. Fitted Impreza turbo front seats (£20 bargain) wind deflectors, sunstrip, short shifter, Kode steering wheel, Rita circuits 15" et38, 300mm ep3 front brakes, 5zigen border 304 back box with custom pipe work that I done myself, new number plates, generally just cleaning it up. Was browsing the Facebook for sale pages one day and seen a b16 converted ej8 coupe, local and for much cheapness. It was needing some work but with the parts fitted to it I thought that I could combine the two cars to make one good one. It's a clean base but needs tidying. Has a purple passengers side wing, silver grill, washer bottle motor not working, bolts missing, exhaust hitting fuel tank, short shifter snapped, leaking radiator and gearbox is missing 4th lol but for £900 I think it's not bad. Has miester r coilovers, vti fan blades, aem v2, skunk2 alpha manifold, cat back exhaust with buddyclub back box, skunk2 lcas and beaks bar. Iv had it 3 weeks now and made a start swapping and fixing things. So far iv repaired exhaust manifold, made a manifold back b pipe, fitted new washer pump, Rita wheels, Impreza seats,Kode wheel, centre console, linkages and short shifter, painted wing and grill. Still need to service it and fit my 300mm brakes. Think it will be nice in the end

  16. What should i do know or what ? More less i was revesing up the hill and i let the clutch out to hard by accident and i heard a bang and the car stopped and it wouldnt move.it was stuck in gear but we were able to revese it on up the hill and then there was a bad smell of clutch. Gear box is gone i think. He said something about a release bearing. It was on a 1.5 vtec engine, would it be hard to fix or what ?
  17. Hello all, I’m new to the forum so will give you a little back ground about me, Spent years playing around with various cars, bikes quads etc and never really had anything very fast. In the summer we went for a rolling road day at a tuners in Leicester and got talking with the owner and he convinced me to build a civic turbo. So when I left there I spent weeks and weeks searching the internet for information on Honda’s, let me tell you if you’re not used to Honda’s its very confusing with all these Ek, Eg, Ej, Mb, Ma, etc etc I then came across a lovely clean Mb6 Aerodeck 1.8 Vti and thought would make a great sleeper, as well as coming with Lsd, 1.8 Dohc as standard. Got the car for just over £1300 with full extensive service history so I was quite pleased in the end. I then took the car to the tuners for a rolling road for a health check and power run, It made 163 Bhp which is not bad considering its only lost 7 hp in 15 years, ( and has a slight exhaust blow ) Once confirmed that car was ok to start building i began to write a list of parts needed, based on what i got told i needed and normal replacement parts such as cambelt kit etc. That list over the last 6 weeks has just got longer and longer. I planned on getting it to 300 bhp, and then wanted to make sure the engine was strong enough to be used on a daily basis and now we are looking at making it a 500bhp car. Thanks for looking more pictures to follow
  18. As you all probably know iv bought burbleboys vti-s and very happy with it glad to be back in a Honda. Plans are to just drive it for a while as it's already sorted, save for a turbo kit next summer (possibly!) taking fly-eyes off as there just not my thing.
  19. hi everybody guess who bought another civic mb1 sr vtec...yeaaah it's me it was a very good deal, near my home... so i bought it 300€ (217£), she has 127 000 miles (197 000 km ) very good conditions,, and i bought her to english people !! unfortunatly i wasn't here to talk with them as you can imagine, at this price, the need some reparations so it's a mb1 sr vtec of course (rare in France, or so expansive), d16y2 as you know. she is grey, perfect for my collection of MB1 lol ^^ good points : - her mileage ! -4 electric windows work good - clutch look ok - interior is very clean, exterior too ! - the engine looks good, sec - it's a SR ^^ bad points / or to do : - tyres ( i ' ve the old wheel of my white) - front and rear brake ( disk + pads) + brake caliper - exhaust, and o2 sensor (check engine) - all drains and filter (air, oil, fuel....) - spark... there is a little rust but it's ok all she needs to drive ^^ we will do everything 'cause we don't have invoices of the last owner! at the moment she doesn't able to drive ( one rear brake caliper is bloqued or broke ) but we will make all of this with love, like my other MB so now, i've got 3 mb1 somes pictures mae
  20. Since I joined Civic5 and started seeing all the nice Ms I have wanted to have a VTI deck in Pirates Black but due to financial reasons and the price they would be selling for I was unable to fulfil my dream..The other morning I went on Auto Trader just to have a look as usual with no plans of buying a Car..but as I searched for Honda Civic Estates I saw this ad of someone selling a Pirates Black one in Birmingham so me and mrs. decided to go have a look at the car..but as soon as we saw it we knew we have to buy it..so I took it for a test drive and loved it..It's done 136k..Completely standard..2 Previous owners and the last owner had it for 8 years..and it's evident that he looked after it and didn't abuse the car..There is no rust anywhere..some swirls and minor scratches on the paintwork but nothing major..I am very happy and excited to have this car and looking forward to some nice changes Pictures from the ad. I haven't taken any yet..but tomorrow morning if the weather is nice I will take some more
  21. This model of Civic has the Double Over Head Cam VTEC engine Fitted. Power output is 169bhp, making it a quick, powerful and practical sporty hatchback. The VTEC system not only makes the car fast and fun to drive, but also makes it reasonably economical when driving normally. Interior wise, the VTi has half leather (full leather optional extra) sports seats (with drivers seat height adjustment), black ash effect dash inserts (carbon effect on later models), air conditioning, rev counter, radio/cassette (CD player and CD Changer both available as options), electric windows all round, tinted glass with built in top tint sunstrip to windscreen, Electric tilt and slide glass sunroof, electrically operated and heated door mirrors, front and rear head rests, rear centre armrest, front arm rest/storage compartment and remote central locking with factory fitted immobilizer. Exterior wise, the VTi also benefited having headlamp washers, front lip/spoiler, colour coded mirrors and door handles, tailgate spoiler, 5 spoke 15 inch Speedline alloys (with an option alloy package of Speedline Chronos or Speedline Fan depending on model year), VTi badging and DOHC VTEC decals on the rear doors. Mechanically, on top of having the DOHC VTEC engine, the VTi also had uprated brakes, with 282mm vented front discs as standard. It also came with ABS, and a 5 speed gearbox with limited slip differential, adding to the driving experience. Safety wise, driver and passenger SRS airbags and side impact beams, plus seat belt pre-tentioners were all standard. The VTiS models had the same spec as the VTi, but came with the VTiS Speedline Chrono or Fan alloys as standard, and also had a deeper front lip/spoiler with vents, sports side skirts, rear lip, unique alloy VTiS gear knob (or silver and black VTiS gearknob depending on the model year), floor mats with VTiS embroidered onto them, and finally a VTiS badge fitted to the tailgate. VTiS models came in Pirates black pearlescent paint only. Additionally, the VTi and VTiS models were also available in Aerodeck models, the specs being the same as the 5 door hatch models. Aerodeck VTi/VTiS model codes are MC2. Here are the full specs for the Honda Civic VTi & VTiS 5 door hatchback and Aerodeck models.
