Final track day of the year done, local one at Donington Park this time!

It was very slippery out there and the day was really entertaining!

We completed 100 laps of the circuit and used about the same amount of fuel as we have been doing all year, around two tanks!

At the very end of the day, I mean literally the chequered flag was out, my brother did the cool-down lap and brought Dave into the garage ready to load up and go home when I noticed steam coming from the front. The radiator has gone. Not bad though to say it looked ropey two years ago when we first got the car.

Anyway here's some photos from the day and also some of the professional photos taken too!

I am working on the videos so I'll post links as usual when they are online.

The time has come for an update. Dave has been woken up from his hibernation for some TLC and goodies.

Replacement radiator, low temp thermostat, replacement coolant hoses, decat exhaust manifold and a Tegiwa M airbox.

The oil has had it's annual change as well.

All ready for remapping on the 16th April with Cadwell booked for the day after!

I use to have a mishimoto rad on my old civic. great quality if I ever need a new rad I'd get one from them. Any plans on a new inlet manifold, they make a good difference on those engines.

I've got one on Bob, still enjoy how bipolar it is, same with the Mugen exhaust on Bob too!

Got some decent ear plugs now too as it was already loud as f**k in there with the Spoon N1 and no rear interior WACK11111

Update time people!

A few days ago we had Dave remapped at TiMotorsport (Tegiwa).

A stock EP3 should make 197bhp new. Dave is a 2002 car with 138k on the clock.

On the first run Dave made a healthy 214bhp with just the mods bolted on!

After a chunk of mapping had been done this run was to see how far the engine could be pushed and find out where the power falls off in the rev range. Dave was ran right up to 9,000rpm making a peak figure of 236bhp as well!

Finally this power run was made with the rev limiter dropped to 8,200rpm. Peak power was 234bhp at 8,000rpm which should keep the engine reliable.

Bloody hell! That's amazing results considering the miles mate! Those mods you've done have made a hella difference!! So brand new he makes 197bhp.....sixteen years down the line with 138k under his belt, with a few choice mods he makes 234bhp!! Just nicely run in lol You thinking about maybe getting Bob mapped or on the RR see how he does? Be interesting stuff bud. B)

Dave is in ruuuuuude health indeed!
