Idle little eratic

Hello to you all.

 

I was hoping you can help me. Little Civic sport 1.4 has developed a little ( Hunting issue). I left her for 4 days parked up. Then driving home she has statred to Idle a little eratically. At Adle its between 400 and 1 and a half RPM the needle goes up and down like a pinball machine. To cure it a give a bit more gas in neutral and it does cure it for a liitle while.

 

I thought the trottle body maybe. My mechanic could not find the correct engine on his diagnostc. I really do not want to go a a dealer to find out. Just spent a lot of money on a new steetring rack. Could not bear to send her to the crusher. 15 years old is not old in Honda years.

Yup IVAC most likely culprit. Possibly an air leak at the inlet manifold too, so have a root around and make sure there are no loose/split pipes in that area. Should be easy enough to sort though bud. Does it drive ok on the move? No missfires/rough running?

As above, might just be a split in one of the vac lines on the inlet.
