MB4 to B16 swap

Its been a while since I've been in the greasy bits of a honda. I've lost my company car so have taken over the wife's mint MB4 1.6SE.  She gets the new family car.

As its a single cam vtec am I correct in thinking a B16 swap would be able to run on the existing loom with the vtec signal being the same?

Engine mounts and driveshafts? Although reco-prop are down the road from me, i'd be looking at at weekend swap.

Cheers

Stu

You'll need all the B series engine loom, gearbox, driveshafts, mounts and ECU as they are different from the D16 your car has.

It can be done in a day/weekend though.

Yeah, there have been a few D to B series swaps here (think Chandler's deck was the latest) so easy enough to do but as krzys says you will need all the B series components. Very easy if you can pick up a complete vti ek4 or for a b18, mb6/aerodeck vti  MC for spares, unless you already have the engine?
