Not good when there sat up for a bit :(

Sounds like a good excuse for a 'wee' drive in the sunshine!!!

Hope it's back on the road asap!

Nope... The brakes look a mess, and the side skirt has randomly disassembled itself :(

Bloody hell thats some trip!!! Where did you manage to find a new petrol tank? Know Dougie is looking for one too. Apparently the aerodeck tank is slightly different to the hatch, but i thought they were the same?

DD was out for a good run today with me, Gayle, Sarah and Dave. Drove perfect as always!

Off ebay from Germany... There's an aftermarket one made by blic. For some reason it looks like later aerodeck tanks are different from the hatch, but mine is the same... At least that's what the part number machine spits out.

Ah, think that might be the same tank Dougie found, but they were unwilling to post it to uk for some reason. Wonder why the tank changed on later decks? Seems a bit pointless to change it when the model is due to be replaced.

You must be cream crackered after such a marathon drive......anyway you got the tank that's akin to hen's teeth :):)

You're borrowed Type S did very well to return 33 mpg with air-con running.

Well, been a while, but hopefully tomorrow is the day when tubs gets recovered to the garage to get my fuel stuff fixed - lines, filler hose, and tank replaced, and a service which will have to include some attention to the seized brakes.

Once she's drivable again, it's off to the welders for a holiday to get some work done. I've found that both rear jack points are goosed, and there's a few spots underneath that need sorting, as well as a rear inner arch.

I've got rear arch repair panels that need fitting, and two new front arches.

Need to get my baby back sorted.
