Nairnster Posted March 30, 2012 Share Posted March 30, 2012 Has anyoone done this?I have found out mine are kaputt (hence why the previous owner had parcel shelf 6x9s.I am going to replace the original rears with some new speakers, but holy s**t! the bolts holding them in are tight. So tight I cant undo them and the head is getting chewed.I have ordered some speakers today, but will need to get the old ones out to fit them.Any tips? I am thinking some penetrating fluid, and possibly try and turn them using some grips from underneath to get them moving. Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

King Posted April 1, 2012 Share Posted April 1, 2012 I had the same problem, all I did was with the screwdriver in place, I gave the handle a good 'ol wack with a hammer which in my case atleast loosened them up! Ready to unscrew! Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
