image_zpspd4rf5gm.jpg Also the driveshaft decided to basically twist and snap on me the other day.. But not to worry as I've got one on order from euro car parts should be with me tomorrow, that's if the idiots bring me the correct part!

image_zpsvlpr7rge.jpg seing as the driveshaft snapped on my Ek I thought it was time to change the gearbox for an Ej9 one as it has a shorter final drive, I also replaced the clutch for a brand new one at the same time. This is the 2nd time I've done a clutch and gear box swap on a D series and it's so easy to do and I didn't even have to use any specialised tools!

image_zpsquzjwbt8.jpg above picture is the old 1.5 vtec e gearbox, which is crap! (Ratios are way too long). And also is the what I believe to be the original OEM clutch as the gearbox looks like it's never been removed!

image_zpsbx77olcx.jpg My nice new drive shaft arrived today 😀 and they actually delivered the right part for once! It is now fitted and I've been out bedding the new clutch in, and the Ej9 gearbox is much better than my original one. And the car seems more nippy so I'm happy with it.
