  1. Yes, Honda have some interesting methods to lower horsepower. A tiny hole for a throttle body eating up 15hp or for example the catifold in MB3 eating up 10hp p.s. Good luck SpYk3 !
  2. Happy to help. I have a friend who went through this procedure that's why I have all this pictures
  3. Okay, more pictures. This is the gasket: How to get to it:
  4. The procedure is 100% safe, don't worry you won't damage anything Yes you'll get ~90hp, the intake manifold gasket is the only difference between 75hp and 90hp engines. Well.. the ECUs are different but I doubt there will be significant differences there and they might be just different part numbers. Replace the gasket with one for the 90hp engine. There are two choises: paper gasket or metal gasket. It doesn't matter which one you'll choose but don't just put back the throttle body without a gasket ! Stock 75hp gasket: Paper 90hp gasket: Metal 90hp gasket: The fuel economy will be the same. It may even improve a little.
  5. Here are some photos from my user manual. It's in Italian because my car is from there but you can use google translate. I can't find this manual in English. Second tables (Condizioni Gravose) are for special conditions which are: • Courses less than 8 km or under conditions of extreme cold, journeys of lessthan 16 km.• High temperatures (above 32 ° C).• Long periods of idle• Towing, roof racks or mountain trails.• Muddy paths, presence of dust or salt.

    Interior bulbs

I made a photo with all types of bulbs: Number 1: For the clockNumber 2: The two bulbs that light at the top of the clusterNumber 3: The bulbs that light up the cluster at the backNumber 4: Two bulbs for the heater surroundsNumber 5: Bulbs for the buttons. The one with yellow cap is for the indications and the normal one for the button itself. But I don't what types they are.
  7. MA9 only have D15Z3 Vtec-e 66kw. Maybe the previous pwner swapped the engine to D15Z8 vtec-e 84kw ? What's the code on your engine ?
  8. I see.. Haven't dealt with wikipedia before. That's stupid.
  9. And now the old info is back, any ideas why
  10. You loose hp from the aircon only when it's on. If you want to free hp - remove power steering because it's always on and robs you a little power. Of course by removing the aircon you loose weight and like you said gives more space but imho it's not worth it. If you can live without AC and PS the best way is - remove them both and get a lightened pulley.
  11. Yes, forgot to add that. About the vtec crossover I think it should be at exact same rpm. Did you check it with a vtec light ? The econo lamp doesn't indicate vtec engagement.
  12. https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Honda_D_engine#D15Z8 Fixed the info and added more
  13. It appears I may be wrong about how "rare" this extra is but I still haven't seen a M here with working light. Does this extra come with the right hand drive ?
  14. I would say the low fuel light is very rare extra on M's, now isn't that stupid... Every M has the indication in the dash but that's just plastic, there's no wiring, no nothing..
  15. I'm sorry mate, I can't help you with this. Haven't done an engine swap.
  16. Anyone know what's the brand of the OEM clutch ? Is it Valeo ? I hope not.
  17. Paul, I have a question about your fogs. I found them for sale but one of them has a cracked glass, do you think it can be replaced ? The seller said yes but I can't trust him of course. And are they Bosch made ? Thanks
  18. Go here http://www.dodo-upgrades.nl/ and click on Pinouts: OBD1 Every pin is explained
  19. Well yes but the head is only small part of the package, one is 1.4 liter engine, the other 1.6 That really is gonna make a difference. Especially with our heavy cars. Everyhting is better on Z6 - block, head, intake manifold, gearbox and etc.
  20. D16Z6 will be faaar more superior than a mini me D14. Also Z6 has a lot of potencial, it puts out 125hp at only 9.2:1 compression ratio.
  21. When I installed my plasma dials everybody told me never to remove the needles on a Honda. And here's why The dials should be made to fit without removing the needles. Like Dave said look up in Moman website. They can make custom plasma dials with any design. But I don't know the price for a custom one, you can ask them.
  22. I'm sorry but I can't help you with that, I'm not from UK. But it should be pretty easy to find one. I just went tot the local parquet shop and they had tons and it costs nothing.. I think you call this thing there "acoustic floor underlay insulation".
  23. Nice car with lovely interior. I have a suggestion for the speakers, you can surround them by floor isolation for better bass. You can read more about it here: http://civic5.com/forum/index.php?/topic/3685-emzvrs-mb3/?p=95654
  24. Nice photos and of course an awesome build. Love this color, but I'm not too keen on the grill.
  25. X2.. Those MGs are strange machines. After browsing rimmerbros: Rear shocks on ZS120(1.6, 1.8 engines) and ZS180 (2.5 engine) have the same part number RPD000280. Front shocks have different part numbers RNB000360 and RNB000370 Rear springs are the same RKB000390. Front springs are different. So that sounds very strange, they only changed the front shocks ? I quit..
