  1. Was there not a whole messup at honda when the cars were registered. Some are vtis on logbook but vti specs
  2. Flushed the rad again on sat and now the gunk is back lol. Sorta need to know before i put arches in the car. What tests can be done to find out for definate.
  3. Forgot about this lol When I bought the dc2 it had radweld or something in it. Its been flushed a good few times from that but that crap sticks to everything. Maybr its just comin out now. I flushed it again on sat. Ill see how it goes.
  4. I took bottom hose off rad and run a hose through it and washed expansion bottle about a week ago. Now theres more gunk than there was the first time. Ill do it again every couple days and see how it goes.
  5. I flushed it last week when I first noticed it. It seems to have gotten worse. Ill flush it again tomarrow and give it a few days.
  6. Oil cap and dipstick is spotless. If the oil was getting into water would it not use a lot.
  7. There was anti freeze in it but I flushed it out when I first seen the sludge last week. Now its back alot worse. I have a b18 if that matters
  8. im doing atleast 50 miles per day, my work is 25 mile away. 24 of them is motorway lol
  9. have noticed a bit of stuff on my water cap this past few weeks. i flushed the water bottle of it all and it now back again. car is not using a lot of oil or water. was using a bit of oil but not lots. just burning it off.
  10. bit of an update. got the car running right. the clampets that fitted the engine had plugs swapped around. icv and knock sensor. car running spot on now. have fitted 96 spec hubs, dc2 dual bend shifter, ek9 mats. spoon n1, ek9'd headlights, tegiwa intake. next on to do list is. paint dc2 wheels paint rocker get back arches done get type r lip (have grill to be painted) get car detailed to get rid of lots and lots of swirls scrub engine bay wind deflectors few fiddly other bits to sort out. few pics over the last few months still a fair nit to be done lol
  11. sort off, car still running crap. think iv narrowed it down to a wiring fault. have fitted spoon n1 and have 2 96 spec hubs on lol its a mess atm, has been getting used as a workhorse. debating whether to finish it or get rid.

  13. what ecu can u use for my car, has a jdm dc2 in it atm but the car is not wired for eld and knock sensor. can i use the likes of a uk dc2 ecu in the car, without any mods ?
  14. ok have sort of figured it out. it seems jap cars have an electric load detector and a knock sensor and my car dosent have either. so just have to figure out how to sort it. either need a jap fuse box and wire it in and new knock sensor and wire it in. or bypass both, yous think its a good idea bypassing ? anyone have any idea how much getting an ecu chipped to forget about these would cost ?
  15. this is the way its going when it idles normal that is me lifting the peddle with my foot. in the morning when the car is stone cold, it wont tick over untill i rev it for a few seconds. any ideas
