Hi guys, I've discovered a fuel leak on the VTi. The rubber hose that runs from the end of the fuel lines and up to the Pump/Tank (cant remember which). Someone has put a cable tie on it, just a bit too tight and its perished. Can I get this bit through Honda or can I use anything else?

Just a quick update... Got myself a second hand Dizzy from a breakers on Ebay for £90 delivered. Removed the old one, bolted on the new one, starded with the first turn of the key! So chuffed! Thanks for all the advice!

Cheers Noodels I'm not that mechanically minded, I can do all the servicing and bolt on parts etc... but marking the timing??? Not sure how I do this... Do you think this would be best something I get a mechanic pal to do?

Bump.... Since I cant get the Rotor Arm off due to the screw head being rounded, If I get a reconned Dizzy from ICP, does the dizzy come off as one? saves the hassle with messing about trying to get that screw off...

Ok, took the dizzy cap off, and ran into a problem, the screw that keeps the rotor arm on, the head seems to be rounded... Any suggestions??

We haven't actually had a race yet, I think it would probably be pretty close though! Thanks for that link Phil, it's pretty handy to have considering the only place I could find a dizzy was Honda performance parts, even then it was 180quid! And Honda wanted a left testicle for one!

hahaha PugPug is my best mate Dar, he's got a really nice Pug 306 GTi-6! Any chance to slag off Hondas eh... He's been helping me a lot with the car getting her MOT worthy again so I suppose I'll let him off... for now Have replaced the leads with some nice new magnecors Took the dizzy cap off and tbh everything looks like new, but of course looks can be deceiving... Was kindly sent the link to the Civic Manual, so we've had a read through and I think possibly tomorrow we are going to be prodding at the Dizzy with a multimeter and see what's what... Cheers for the input guys, really hope it's something easy

TBH I've had the car for 2 and a half years and hasn't been changed since I've had it, not sure if the previous owner had... One thing I did notice was that one of the Ignition leads connected to the dizzy was b****red, the connector was pretty much dust lol even then, I would have expected it to start on 3 cylinders... I'm getting some new leads next week, but in the meantime, I'll do what you suggest see if we get anywhere. Anything's worth a try at this point lol

Hi Guys, my VTi has been off the road for around 6 months. I’ve decided that I’m putting it on the road again, so have been doing some work over the past week or so. I’ve been running the car up and down the driveway to move it up onto ramps etc but it was needing jump started with jump leads as it had been sitting for so long, so a couple of days ago, I took the battery out to charge it overnight. With the battery fully charged yesterday, I put it back in the car and tried to start it up... nothing. It is turning over fine and is fuelling, but there’s no spark. The only thing that’s changed since the last day it was running and yesterday, was that the battery was taken out, charged, then put back in. Is there something I have maybe done that’s causing this? I really don’t understand as I’ve done this a few times before without issue... Any help is hugely appreciated chaps!

Nice to see another Orleans Blue VTi like mine on the road, seems to be quite a rare color and looks awesome when waxed up Nice to see you have the same wheels as me too although mine aren't white... Can't wait to see what's next

Hi guys, never came across this issue before, hope someone can help! If I start the car from cold and immediately drive off, the temperature needle never rises and as a result, vtec does not engage, however, the heaters get warm as normal. If I start the car, let the needle get up to half then drive off, the needle drops back below the lowest point, however, Vtec still engages and the heaters are still warm. I can then stop the car for a few minutes and the needle rises back up to half again... Bit of an odd one I thought. I changed the thermostat not that long ago as well...
