Hi guys need some advice/help again
Last night whilst driving i noticed a lot of excessive clutch play on the clutch pedal and very soft when depressed (like nothing there)I also noticed that every now and then it struggled a bit to go into gear now i know there is nothing wrong with the clutch itself no slipping it has a judder on pull off but that's the rear mounting, I opened the bonnet and had a look this morning i noticed the reservoir is empty also on the clutch release cylinder is wet so does it need a complete new one or just a kit installed??
it looks very rusted so i was thinking along the lines of pitting inside the bore itself. Where would you suggest i get the parts or unit from as my motor factor always gets the wrong parts
If a new one is required will this be ok ?( Ebay Item number: 300715118337 )
Once again thanks

I only want a back box at the moment, but not a standard one, you can get stainless ones off of ebay for like £80 but only for Ek hatch, coupe and saloon etc. Just wanted to know if one of them would fit as it would be cheaper to buy one of them them have a custon one made.
Hi no it wont fit i got one and now have to take it in to get fitted involves (cutting/welding)

after finding the area of the problem and mounts broken .try eurocarparts £30 for both fronts"D"series 1500
this is for replacement patern parts.
Thanks will try tomorrow. it's the rear mount for the gearbox that's gone
-
No cant seem to find any on ebay .By the way it's £90.00 apparently the previous quote was an error for the rear mounting
-
£ 75.00 for rear mount £60.00 each for the others !! I was going to replace them all so i know there done for a while but i'm thinking otherwise @ these prices

-
check torque mountings first, mine was cured when fitted poly inserts £25

Hi first of let me thank all who have given me advice in my previous threads 1"£££$££"!!
Ok new problem my clutch judders when the engine is cold and gets better when it's warmed up, it's not slipping and pulls like a train also i have no gear changing issues . I have done a Google search and apparently it's a common fault with the civics . I just need your views before i outlay for a new clutch
Been quoted £104.00 + vat for parts
Many thanks

I have the same noise on my mb2 1.4 se 123600 on the clock although my car seems to use oil but i cant see that it's smoking also i got this on my recent MOT an advisory (Exhaust emits blue smoke during acceleration )
So any help or advice would be appreciated
Thanks
Update the noise has not been around for a while now , maybe it was me being paranoid as it only happened for a few days

Polishing is the way forward, but it takes some work to get through that yellow oxidised layer. Keep at it! Even a bit of very fine grit emery paper might be needed to get enough material removal, but too much/uneven removal will spoil the appearance & beam. Careful with powered polishing wheels on plastic! Even toothpaste gives ok results, but then that's basically mint flavoured Autosol.
...ok, it's a little more different.
THANKS

sorry i meant that that the outside plastic is turning yellow not the inside lens

Hi my civic went through it's mot yesterday , only my worry is that they gave me an advisory (Exhaust emits blue smoke during acceleration ) now does that mean it's on it's way out ???
A bit of info i got it when the clock was on 106000 since then its' had two full services in the 6 or 7 months that i have had it and the clock is now on 121300, With the engine running and i open the oil cap i feel pressure pushing against my hand it also uses a bit of oil no leaks though
please can someone give me advice on this
