Nice work dave, sent you a PM i need these bushes in my life badly, my MB6 sounds like i have someone locked in the boot knocking for me to let them out ROFL. already ordered some energy trailing arm bushes just need to figure out getting the rear and front sorted may as well when i swap my rack out.

Ok been offered a new EK/EM stainless catback cheap, I know the hangars are in the wrong place but my buddy works in a garage and said he can tig weld them in the right place, only other problem is are there any other differences? I know it will be shorter but he said we can just add a section to increase the length but I'm worried about the bends? Are they the same? Looking at pictures the bends look the same just the middle section looks shorter.

    What you guys think? I'm looking at saving over £150 over a dedicated mb6 system I think that's worth the effort to make an EK system fit if its possible.

Watch the video and have volume fairly loud you can hear a high pitched screechy/whistly rasp under the exhaust tone, it dosent seem to bad in this video but its much worse in person and in the car, when I drive through my local tunnels on the A55 is sounds like there is someone strimming in my boot. originally i though my middle box had gone so we cut it out and put a straight through pipe then the exhaust tone changed totally but now the rasp has gone from a low buzzing kinda sound to a high pitched screech. do you think my backbox is screwed (baffles?) or another friend said it could be resonance that cats and middle silencers also act to cancel out funny noises and removing the cat and middle box has just made the issue worse. the annoying thing is I like the tone of the supersprint back box its just the underlying screechy rasp is ruining it.

  4. bit late now to get wheels off, but im off tomorrow hopefully we can figure out whats going on, ive got a horrible feeling maby the previous owner maby put 4x100 hubs on?? if thats possible i dont know?? if thats the case im going to be p**sed coz i bought a set of 4x114.3 bbs rims few weeks back.

    will post tomorrow with pics and my findings.

  5. Got lots of things to do to my MB6, it was in a sorry state when I got it slowly getting there im on a tight budget so its slow going.

    Done:

    Replaced missing Headlight washers,

    Replaced windscreen washers with jazz ones,

    windscreen trim was missing, replaced now,

    Sunroof didnt open, fixed that,

    full service,

    LED Bulbs,

    Fitted headunit,

    Decat fitted,

    Painted grill surround in pirates black and vent in satin black, honda badge in milano red,

    Painted rear number plate chrome garnish pirates black,

    Matte finsh rear light tint,

    done a couple other bits but nothing major.

    To Do:

    De tango and de chrome headlights,

    Get rid of the horrible 17"s as tires are almost to limit and the are kerbed to FK,

    Picked up a set of 16" 7j BBS rims for £60 just need painting gonna do them anthracite - Deadline MOT Aug,

    need to buy a set of toyo's to wrap them in im thinking 195 45 R16 should look ok. - Deadline MOT Aug,

    New rear bumper mines mangled on N/S,

    bought a set of MG ZS 180 shocks just waiting for them to arrive,

    See if i like the hight of said MG shocks if not buy some lowering springs,

    looking for MG ARB,

    Need to paint brake calipers red,

    new vented and grooved dics and pads all round,

    Re paint rocker cover in crackle red,

    windscreen needs replacing as is cracked - Deadline MOT Aug,

    Replace boot pistons,

    bought a new ram for the ducting hole in front bumper look like previous owner never fitted on or it fell off, just waiting for it to arrive,

    bought Energy shifter linkage bushes just waiting for them to arrive, hopefully fix my annoying wobble when in gear,

    try and rejuvinate my window rubbers i hear linsee oil or smooth penut butter works,

    Replace broken fog lights,

    Colour code side bump strips pirates black,

    Maby if i can afford it full respray at some point, not sure if its worth it,

    will put more pictures up as i do stuff, wheels and shockers will probably be then next on my hit list.

Aftermarket lights front and rear, carbon or kevlar bonnet, bucket seats Stuff that probably dosent exist or you have to modify, lol I was just in a p**sy mood today lol, but it does seem I quite often hit a brick wall seeking out parts, or our cars are listed so many ways on ebay etc. and sometimes I feel if I search MB6 is gives someone the right to add like £10 to the price even if the item is compatible with other hondas, just the feeling i get :(

    any hints on terms i should use to find bits, atm im stuggling to find a set of track rod ends and rear drop links.

    we could really do with compiling a huge list of cross compatible parts for the 5 door civic and good places to buy from :geek:

  7. I expect the ep is just a bearing where the mb you get the whole hub. I don't no Wat you find so hard you can pretty much get anything for our car

    Ok here's one example tegiwa doesn't even have our model listed, many other places you put in the year of our model and always come up with 1.6 vti which is the ek. Virtually no aftermarket stuff for our cars, either ek or teg stuff and you never know if they are compatible if you do a search on lings it's doesn't show the 5 door, only finds it if you put a reg in so on and so forth, I guess it's just me then since I'm new to this model.

  8. Ok I found a picture of a zs one online and looks different, and judging by lack of responses it's a no,

    Is tha mb6 bearing shared with any other Honda? Im getting fed up with difficulty of finding the bits I want as not many places even have our civic listed in the models of Honda, I don't see why a mb6 bearing is 100 yet I've seen EP civic bearings for like 40. Frustrating feel like getting rid and picking up an ek or ep atleast it's easy to find what you want.

I've got a decat on from previous owner but I'm struggling to get it to seal, tried new donut and tightened it right up but its still blowing should I invest in a new decat? as the one fitted was a bit crap the flange cup was too small so we put a bigger one that looks the right size. Thinking of an adjustable one as I have supersprint system and whoever installed it made it fit this long decay pipe so its too short for normal Honda cat and it pulls the whole system forward and the middle silencer knocks on gear linkage! I've got a srs aftermarket manifold how can I check what size flange cup I need for it?

    No idea how I'm going to solve the length issue when I need to put cat back on for MOT
