  1. Thanks for the reply guys. Its an annoying one as lots of things could cause it. I have checked through lots of different things and from what i can tell it seems to be with the fuel delivery but cant find any faults with any of those components either. I recently changed the exhaust which was blowing and that made it slightly better so O2 sensor might be a good shout. Is there any way of testing it?
  2. I’m having trouble with my 1.6 ISE at the moment. It starts fine and idles fine but as you drive without warning you can have a complete loss of power. It doesn’t stall but you can have your foot mashed to the floor and nothing happens. When it does it, it feels like you have lifted your foot off the accelerator and the car slows down and the revs drop. Then all of a sudden it will accelerate again and drive like normal for a bit. It had done this once or twice in the past but very rarely, now its doing it every drive. Any ideas?
  3. Hi folks I have a bit of an issue with my engine in my 1.6 SOHC. It runs fine on warm up but when it’s up to temperature the idle is playing up. When you rev it and the revs drop back down to idle it drops to low and almost stalls and on occasion has. Then it will pick back up and be ok but does it every time it’s revved. So if you change gear to slow and the revs drop back to idle it struggles and almost stalls. I suspect a vacuum leak on the intake manifold but am struggling to find one. I have also run some injector cleaner through it as I was on occasion getting a slight misfire when the engine was cold, this seems to have sorted the misfire but now the idle is annoying me. Any ideas as to what else I should look for?

    boss troubles

I got a new sparco wheel and momo boss for my vtis but when tried to fit it the boss was too big for the column. I was told the boss was for a 96> civic and accord and would fit as all civics past that year have the same column. I sent it back but am now unsure as to what to get. I read somewhere that 93-95 non airbag eg civic and integra should fit but want to make sure before i order it so i don’t end up sending another one back. anyone know for sure?
  6. Yeah looks loads better. Still more changes to come though. The front bumper is being replaced with a standerd one and a vti lip instead of vtis. I need the vti one as the bottom is flat so i can fit a custom made splitter and add a few canards. Im also on the look out for a mgzs high level spoiler. Might see if i can make some sort of diffuser aswell but there dosnt seem to be much room for one at the back so will have to wait and see with that. Also gona wrap the roof in black
  7. OK so my budy club P1 extended ball joints are fitted which has given me 15mm more travel on the lower arm. The upper part of the hub has had 17mm cut out of the arm and welded back together. Her as some pics. After a few coats of hammerite everything is now back together. With the roll center now being lowered i had to unwind the hight adjuster on my coilovers by 20mm to bring it back up to the ride hight i wanted. Its now sitting perfectly and wow the difference when driving is insane. No more knocking, such a smooth ride( as smooth as can be on coilovers anyway). The camber is way out now, has a small amount of positive by the looks of it. So next thing is back to the alignment place to have camber reset to how i like it and also check to see if the caster has changed after the hub was cut and rewelded. It feels fine though, tracks straight as an arrow on hard acceleration and braking.
  8. haha a lot of noise is an understatment, the ride was the worst thing though. No suspention travel at all so very bumpy.
  9. Yeah it is a bit annoying but it's all trial and error. The easiest way to fix it would be to just raise it up an inch but I'd rather play around with different ideas and see what works. I have seen people cut big holes in the top of the suspension tower to get over it but seems a bit dangerous to me, surly it would weaken the chassis
  10. They are the cyber speed ones. I chose them for the tubular design which is very strong. It's survived being crashed against the suspension tower on a daily basis
  11. My hub assembly is off at the moment. One off the problems with going really low is the top camber arm is hitting the inside of the suspention tower. You can see it in the pic Also the roll center is so far off standerd that the handeling has been slightly sacrificed. So i have ordered some budyclub extended lower ball joints which will put the lower control arm at a better position. Then the arm of the hub which mounts to the top camber arm will have an inch or so cut out and welded back together. This will give my camber adjustable arm the room it needs in the suspention tower and should give the suspention geometry a more standard angle while not sacrificing the ride hight i want.
  12. Few pics of suspention set up. You can see my home made exhaust in the last one. Cut the back box off and welded in a straight 2.5inch bit of pipe for some extra noise. Gives it a nice raspy sound and sound mad on vtec crossover, only cost £25. I did have a place called Rtec build me a custom 2.5 inch stainless cat back system that cost £280. But when i had a look it was 2inch and also sounded rubish so got a refund and made them refit old one. My cheap alternative will do for now, untill i have a 3inch front exit.
  13. Not sure, going to search scrap yards and see if i can find one that fits. If not i will make one out of a black tow strap with some shinny bolts
  14. Head lining being done. Back in with flocked pillers and full leathers You can also see my new leather gear gattor and neo chrome knob
  15. OK been a long time since i did an update and car has changed quite a lot so about time i did one. Crapy body kit has come off in favour of original vti-s kit. Repainted front grill so its all black. Fitted meister R coilovers, front and rear adjustable camber arms and lower control arms. Referbished antiroll bars and tie bar and new drop links. Changed a few dodgey bushes. Cut all 4 arches to make room for insane lows. Tegiwa 3point brace, few dress up parts in bay. Aircon removed. Full leather interior New black headlining, black flock on pillers, and sprayed grey plastic matt black. Head lights referbished and inserts painted black. Pics up shortly
  16. OK here are some more pics of everything back in the car. Its black foam backed headlining fabric, All of the grey plastic parts sprayed with matt black and the A,B and C pillers in black flock. Also with my new full leather seats instaled. There are stil a few grey parts to sort out. The passenger side handel will be replaced with a black one and the sunroof edging will be dyed in some sort of fabric dye. Still not sure what to do with sun visors, might spray them with vinyle spray paint if i cant find anything better.
  17. Also here are some pics of what i did. Need to take some more though which i will post later.
  18. When i did mine i used this stuff from egay that was supplied with my headlining fabric, worked a treat. http://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Trimbond-trim-fix-high-temp-spray-glue-for-general-upholstery-car-trimming-/151206917402?pt=UK_Crafts_Cardmaking_Scrapbooking_Glue_Tape_EH&var=&hash=item2334a2751a
  19. I striped off all the old fabric and foam with a wire brush. Then lined it with a foam backed headlining fabric I found on egay, sprayed both parts with glue then stuck together. Used a wallpaper seam roller to smooth it over
  20. Ah yeah that's a good idea. Any idea what they are made of because you can get vinyl spray paint but I'm not sure if they are.
  21. Well it was a bit of a pain but got it done. Indeed the whole sunroof mechanisms had to be dropped and pulled out. I have done everything in black so had to retrim the sliding panel and spray the handle black and replace everything in one day so I didn't have to tape a bin bag over the hole. All came out nice in the end. Had the a,b and c pillars flocked as well. Not sure what to do with the grey sun visor though, is there any cars that have black ones I can use like an mgzs or something ?
  22. Thats what i have also heard and 4-2-1 being a bit quieter is defiantly a bonus. I had a look at the japspeed ones and they look good but they dont do them with a 2.5" collector.
  23. Ah ok so ebay is ok as long as you pay the rite money. Makes sence i guess. Will the toyo system be really loud with a 4-2-1 mani and fast flow cat?
  24. Bit of a two part question. Seen a toyo 2.5" cat back system for mb6 vti on toyo website for £260ish. Looks pretty good to me and price seems reasonable. Though before i order i would ask the loverly folks here if its worth getting. Has anyone on here got one fitted to there vtis? Has it been good, sound ok? Also what is my best option for manifold. Heard lots of bad things about cheep ebay ones but £400+ from the likes of tegiwa or skunk seem a bit expensive. I could push the budget to get one but only if its really gona be worth it. Is there any sort of mid range one to look for? Like £250ish
  25. They hang very low as well. Heard of a few people that have ripped them off going over speed bumps
