Hi! Im planing on buying new distributor cap and rotor for MB9 (D15Z8 engine) but all the searches point me to two sloutions: http://www.google.si/search?q=J5331000&hl=sl&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=W71UT_uFCYiCOsO28aoK&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CA0Q_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=951 http://www.google.si/search?q=J5331000&hl=sl&prmd=imvns&source=lnms&tbm=isch&ei=W71UT_uFCYiCOsO28aoK&sa=X&oi=mode_link&ct=mode&cd=2&ved=0CA0Q_AUoAQ&biw=1920&bih=951#q=J5334014&hl=sl&tbm=isch&sei=i79UT6eJKc6ZOtWXtK0K&bav=on.2,or.r_gc.r_pw.r_cp.r_qf.,cf.osb&fp=145676ea6a205ce3&biw=1920&bih=915 I will open the cap today to see whats in now, but still, I would like more info regarding this - how come there are two different rotors available for this engine? Both are Nipparts... Many thanx! F

...was just told by mechanic the same Many thnx! It would be interesting though - to continue the debate regarding the engine clearances getting bigger due to carbon build up? Best, F

Hi folks! Im just about to do a bigger service on my 1.5 MB9. However, due to (oil sump is a bit "oily" wet) broken oil sump seal, Im now running on minimum (low dipstick hole still covered with oil though). Sad fact is, I still have to use the car for next 7 days before the service and unfortunatelly I dont know which oil is there in the engine (I know its Pennzoil, but thats it - Im a new owner). Now, I would like to either: a) top up oil - but dont know which one can I take do an oil and non-OE filter change (cheap solution - should do for a week). But again, which oil to use? Im leaning towards option but I have been told two different things. Friends advised me on using high detergent oil so I flush out all the dirt out before using the right, new oil. Some, on the other hand, told that wouldnt be a good idea because if I cleaned all the carbon build-up in the engine, that might result in rings losing tension. Consequentially, engine would be inclined to start burning oil and suffer from blow-by. What would your advice be? Btw, its a 98 reg. 1.5 84 Kw engine - 120K miles on the clock... Many thanx!

Many thanks folks! I have an apointment with a guy that deals with these things tomorow and we'll have a look... One more thing to ad: a few days back the car was quite loaded (600 lbs in the trunk, two passengers in front (500 lbs), one in the back (170 lbs) and I must say, the steering was very very light. It also happenned to be windy so I hade to pay attention on correcting directions all the time. Considering the car is pretty light and the fact it was quite loaded, that could be normal...on the other hand, I prefer asking here just to make sure Again, thanx for your feedback! BEst...

Hi folks! I just bought my first Honda recently - a good looking and well taken care of 1.5 Vtec - E Aerodeck. So far, Im very pleased with the car but do have a problem with suspension. When Im driving over bumps and roughs terrain, I can feel (and hear) like something was loose. Also, when going faster through bends (uneven, rough terrain only), the car doesnt feel compact and stable but rattles a little and looses traction a bit. Could this be due to worn rubber bushings in the suspension? Anything else I should pay attention to? The car now has roughly around 120K miles on the clock. I have also noticed that the it has Monroe shocks which indicates they have allready been changed. I have a feeling that the shock / stock spring combo isnt working well too. I am planning on putting a Koni set on later (just got the car) but would first like to sort out the rattling / play problem in the suspension. Any input regarding this is much appreaciated! Best, F
