  1. right well went to pick up my sister and after about 200 yards starting gettin a really bad vibration then judder and it deffinatly feels like its coming from the gearbox, as the whole car judders and getting loads of vibration in clutch/gas pedal and gearstick. so managed to get it back home when i parked up and put it in neutral pressed clutch pedal to get a wurring/whining noise which goes when i take foot off the pedal and when i rev the engine from the throttle cable in the engine bay it really kicks and makes a popping noise. so yeh any help would be nice...
  2. Hi welcome! hope you enjoy the forum. Couple of budget tips for you- Debadging is done easiest with the aid of some careful dental flossing- only the H is mechanically fixed. Best not to use moisture holding chalkboard paint- vinyl is you best bet or rattle cans of matt black are available cheaply. Generally if funds are tight it is better to leave dodgy bodywork rather than not do it right. The best things you can do for free are to remove the rear arch liners and the side skirts to clean all the crap out from behind them. If panels are looking too rat look for you then cover them in vinyl until you can sort them. Extending the wiring to the rear spoiler is no problem with a few crimps. Repainting wheel trims is actually quite expensive to do right- just throw them away. Your in winter wheel spec anyway so wear your rust with pride! Some people have found cutting out the bit of plastic at the rear of the stereo opening helps all the wiring fit in a lot better. oh right thats ok then deffinatly got dental floss somewhere. for the chalkboard paint ive still got plenty left over from my old mx5 which lasted a good 9 months . theres not much wrong with the current paintwork just not for me as i prefer flat colours so a wrapping would cost to much. but won't be first car ive roller painted as the mx5 chalkboard paint was rollered and also my old 205 was rollered in red oxide tractor paint thats ok then spoiler shouldnt be to difficult to sort then. yeh its my headunit wont fit because its just to big for the actually gap in the dashboard i.e to thick. i know when its finished it will be a very marmite car like most cars ive owned for example this is my 205 build before i de-stickered it and painted it in red oxide http://www.uk-mods.co.uk/viewtopic.php?f=11&t=437
  3. well thought id start a thread as decided that ronda will not be standard for much longer. and as title says this is all done on p/t barman wages so. but like they say cheap and cheerful have lots and lots of ideas but not going to give them all away. currently all i have done is wire in a headunit i had which was fun as its to big for the hole so sticks out and had to sort out the wiring as someone had butchered it. and fill it with fuel and drive it to do: debage rear assuming just the H badge has holes sort out front grill paint roof in chalkboard paint for matt black as cheaper than buying paint repaint body this will be a roller job fit boot spoiler make/model disclosed but does anyone know if it would be difficult to remove 3rd brake light from rear window and use wiring for the boot spoiler?? repaint wheeltrims as steelies are pretty nasty as not after alloys till after winter and some lows although ideas on this as dont wont to spend loads, as will be using as a cruiser not for performance. so nicked these pics of new members thread as dont have anymore currently
  4. yeh sorted now just needed abit more fuel must be the angle at which it sits on my drive. thanks again though
  5. ok thanks will get some fuel as cars parked on a steepish drove so fuel might not be re.aching pump then
