Thanks very much guys! Im just desperate to get the car going now! wouldnt the o2 sensor put the eml on the dash? I havent got any lights on, im being told by a mechanic that it might be the idle air control valve or one of the vacuum lines around that area? Is that something anyone has heard of?

Right, so I passed my test last week, just getting the old girl ready for the mot and it has started to develope its faults. iv the one I cannot work out is, when the engine gets hot, it starts to struggle on idle I.e the idle speed keeps jumping from 2k to 1k like a rally car and sounds like its going to cut out, but only when it gets to temperature, anyone know of this fault with a d14a8 engine? thanks

Yeah! It has stopped the leak and it feels like a new rack! Do you know of a good place to get a stainless steel manifold? I struggle to find anything haha! once thats fitted it shouldnt be long till she is on tHe road ready for pictures to be posted up!

Yeah its the exhaust manifold, the cat is under the car... I think, ill have to take a closer look when I go up tonight

thanks lads, the information about the lucas steering leak has worked! it feels a lot lighter now and the leak has stopped! (I was very sceptical at first) next on the agenda is the manifold, its not gone yet but I would like to replace it, it is looking very worse for wear! being the D14A8 engine, I cant find any on ebay, and a new one even from the factors is very pricey, any advise on which other manifolds would fit? I wouldn't mind an uprated one as long as it fits perfect? thanks!

nice one!, thanks guys! iv had my mate look at it and it doesn't seem to be leaking too bad, ill top up the fluid and see whats happening It never even crossed my mind to take a look for people breaking their cars, will an MB6 rack fit my MB2?

Hi all! quick question to ask, my MB2 has rather a large leak from the steering rack, before I find what is the actual cost I am looking at prices for new/used ones heres the dilemma... I cannot find one anywhere for my car! and I was just wondering if anyone knew if a rack from an MG ZS or ROVER 400 will fit? thanks for the help guys!

Hello, im very new to the MB scene, i bought my MB2 a couple months ago for my second car . I had a EG first, which i loved, but the MB i think is a much better allrounder I LOVE the look of FYFIE 5's civic with the yellow JDM style headlights and i was just wondering where on this earth do you get them? i think i have literally looked under every rock on the internet but not found them atall? can anyone tell me where i could get a set?
