I hadn't seen them before I made them it was just an idea I had The most positive thing is that it eliminates the need for shorter shocks when you lower your car And the drive comfort isn't all messed up either The civics are a perfect car for doing this because the shocks are not rotating like many other makes and models do and the springs isn't progressive Have in mind that the tube must be big enough to fit the shocks bigger end
If you do a google search you can find some pictures of how its made ``Extended top hats Honda´´ I don't recommend lowering a MB3 more than 75-80 mm. my driveshafts and my upper whishbones is dangerously close to the frame. But it works fine on daily basis for me
That is correct. The upper shock mount, but it is not moved it's extended. On the stock mountings the``tube´´ is 10mm high, I cut mine apart en welded a tube with the length of 75mm. And then I shortened the springs.
Thanks everyone! No big plans for now but are thinking about some spacers and de tango the headlights. And some minor details. I´am on a tight budget are trying to fabricate all parts my self Bought it as a cheap daily driver but have gotten real attached to it now
