Cleaned out the solonoid a lot of dirt , done the gasket around it and changed the oil .... 😎 she's kicking in nicely again , thanks lads

I heard that it could be a build up of oil in the solinoid and also disconnecting the battery sometimes gets the vtec working again if all fails Im out of options only to sent it to a mechanic but my mechanic hansent a clue on how a vtec system works

Tried that injector cleaner with a full tank of petrol and left it run its corse but still no joy now the vtec cross over at 4,800 rpm is completely gone , I'm thinking it's the solinoid

I was thinking maybe it was an ignition issue? But because it's inly happening while its in vtec stage and working perfect under 4,800 ??? Thanks for that link noodles in going to check that now

But this vtec is disengaging with throttle fully opened?

I have an issue that only started in the last day or so...the problem is when I bring it up to 4,800 rpm it crosses over fine but the Gos back out of vtec as the rpm still rises up to the 6,800 when the inlets start sucking air that's works fine but it's still kind of dropping in and out of vtec? Also about 2 days ago the fuel light came on and even with half a tank it still won't go off ... Would this be a fuel issue

I just got a toyo sport cat back on ... I have the standard intake and 4 branch on now but I just got my hands on a 4-1 doc sports many and a carbon slug intake I was just wondering after I fit these two bits of kit will I get that mental roar u hear from ek9 and dc2 I was led to believe it was the 4-1 mani?? O and I have an mb6

So I got myself an mb6 1998 VTi 123k miles I'm just about to get a full service and t belt / w pump done , im in love with it to be honest my girlfriend is starting to loose the plot , I'm useing any excuse to nip to the shop lol, I was just wondering about the performance as iv watched countless hours of u tube videos , when I open the throttle in 2nd or 3rd @4,500 rpm I can hear a cross over and nice grunt , then again at about 6,500 a smooth pop and great roar from the cat back, is this 2 stage vtec or is it something different any info would be great

Even tho on the web site the 4-1 mani will fit all b series engines , will this have to be fabricated underneath the to match the length of the mb6??

Hi this is my first time on this , great site , Ive got a mb6 VTi b18c4 , any one got any info on where I can get a really loud 4 branch , iv already got a toyo sport cat back , any info would be great
