lacos Posted April 20, 2010 Share Posted April 20, 2010 hi the other day i broke my key fob so went to honda , found out that my car has an aftermarket alarm so now i am not sure what to do as i cant turn the immobilizer off, thought i was in luck as i found the spare but for some reason the alarm wont respond to it so now my m sits in the drive with the battery disconnected ,the make of alarm is vector now the simplest thing to do is have it removed but it is wired in to alot off components ie windows , sunroof , light please can someone help Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
civicturbo79 Posted April 20, 2010 Share Posted April 20, 2010 Have to changed the batterys in the spare fob you have . sometimes out need to get the fod to talk to the alarm eg by holding down the unlock buttom for 10 seconds . google your alarm and see if this is the case for yours . if not just take the alarm off as you say there are loads of wires but its only a case of cutting and rejoining some wire , if not you will have to get an alarm bloke in to remove it for you .
