riz-vti
Hi there guys and girls,I going to have to replace my piston rings in the near future, as i have been told by a trusted mechanic (a dc2 sir driver) that my piston rings are on the way out!I'm going for a N/A setup and was wondering if some b16b or b18c piston setup would increase the cars compression ratios? Im not able to spend alot of money at the moment becuase i recently got married and I am the only provider in the house!Just think having a higher compression ratio would increase the cars performance with the mods i have planned - which are itr cams and a 4 branch to compliment my custom exhaust system!Any help would be much appreciated!! Thanks, Riz
G Unit
hello what symptons do you have for you to think your piston rings are on the way out?if its burning a little more oil than usual and a little blue smoke out exhaust id try the valve steam seals 1st

civicturbo79
What oil do you have in the engine . oil makes a big differance to how much they smoke .if you have not do a oil change in some time try it and see how you get on .Rich

wilp99
prolly best to have a compression test done that will determine weather your rings are shot or not.
