slim.1987 Posted February 18, 2011 Share Posted February 18, 2011 Hi must of posted this in wrong place before,im doing an engine swap with the 1.8 MB6 engine ecu and wiring with the p9k ecu understanding i need the black box , transpoder and key from the MB6 into the 1.4 MB2 1998 R Reg. i have cut the 2 plugs(c101 plugs) from the MB6 and also striped wires back on the passenger side and pulled the 3 plugs for the engine through the bulk head and cut the 17 wires that go across from the ecu to the drivers side so i am left with the ecu plugs and 3 plugs for engine and the 17 wires on one loom and just need to know where to connect the 17 wires as far as im aware i think u connect some to the e31 plug on the MB2 wiring harness also i think i need to run some wires from the drivers side shock tower mount 16 plug on MB6 10 plug on MB2 to the ecu anyone got any info would be great helpmany thankssimon Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
Guest Posted February 18, 2011 Share Posted February 18, 2011 you would have been better just disconnecting at the shock tower and buying an obd2 to obd1 converter. that way everything couples up fine except one plug on the passenger side where you would have connected the 4 wires that are the same and the 2 left over are irrelevant. think im going to do a how to for the m's as alot of people get misled by the ek and eg conversion how to's. i did the conversion in my mc1 which had a d16 to start with Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...
