joelufc20
easy job just changed mine and used 75-80w gear fluid as recomended by opie oils. Bought Comma fluid from Wilco motorsave for £19.99. Alot better than the treacle that came out so its a must for all civic owners especially if the car aint had it done for ages

johngreen537
X2, Honda boxes can get a bit picky about oil.. I've learned that the hard way before!
Gav_ek4
im going to disagree with opie oils on this one, hondas should only be used with mtf94 or 10w40 engine oil and more frequent changes

johngreen537
I've used 10-40 in a box before, but wouldn't recommend it longer term, not for the box, just a pain doing it every 6000 miles

acivic
Not trying to sound nasty or anything but genuine Honda MTF is only £20 for 3 litres from a dealerI'd love to be able to buy MTF3 for £20 for 3 ltrs- all the honda main stealers I tried are charging £14+ for 1 litre grey plastic bottle/container.Heres the part number if anyones interested : 08267-99901HE but I see MTF3 has a different part number now, heres new part number: 08267-99902HEI want to do a gearbox oil change as Im thinking maybe its whining because the garage who did my transmission/clutch work didnt put MTF3 in it. Ive seen plenty sellers on ebay selling MTF94- I was thinking maybe I'd get some MTF94 if I cant source some MTF3.
