wezza9
yer it has too be working if ABS is fitted from what i heard its a mind field some places state that if it was fitted to that model and year it has to be fitted so if you remove it they will fail it last year i took my mates race MK2 Mr2 rev3 that i built for its MOT the drive shaft where changed to non ABS and the pump unplugged and bulb removed so it was just sitting there but the fluid was going through the block so they failed it .The lad told me to get shut of the block( rev1's and rev2's did not have ABS ) and he will pass it . i also read the same thing in PPC so if early MB6 did not have ABS you may be lucky it just depends on the MOT place and how they read it from what i have read about this bit

philgor
just had a look on the chart at work. all 1996 onwards, 1.6, 1.8, 2.0td abs was a standard fitment, only on the 1.5's it was optional, and the 1.4 didn't have it at all....
