Immobiliser help needed pleeeeease!!!

I am trying to replace my stock P1K-E63 ECU with a chipped P06, the problem is that the car cranks over but doesn't start as there is no spark and I think no fuel going in, although there is pressure at the fuel rail.

After searching about I realised that there is a factory Honda immobiliser fitted (IMMO-AO), half in the ECU and half in the steering column area, these communicate and verify the key code to start. I checked my stock ECU and sure enough there is the 10 pin chip in slot HIC1 on the ECU board, I am lead to believe that this controls the injector pulse and spark, and that the key/ignition part controls the code and starter motor.

So how can I get my car to start. There is no HIC1 slot on the P06 for the chip to go into that I can see, the P06 is pre-1996 OBD1. Can I get an immobiliser specialist to remove the remaining part of the immobiliser from the dash or is there another way to do it? does anyone know? I really want this ECU in the car so I can start tuning my Turbo Aerodeck.

Any help will be SO much appreciated.

I didn't need a harness converter as the plug setup is the same as OBD1. I just needed to shave 2 guide lugs off the A-plug (the blue one), theres a picture of my ECU in my build thread 'freak wagon build' on this site. Like you said though the P06 is pre-96 and doesn't have an immobiliser and no HIC1 slot to put the IMMO-A0 chip into. Everything else works as it should on the 1st turn of the key i.e the fuel pump primes and the CEL comes on for 2 sec and goes out as it should. The car cranks fine too. I don't think any of these things would happen if the ECU was bad.

Heres a pic of the 2 plug arrangements P06 on top and the P1K on the bottomecus.jpg

I found out today that the D16B2 does have different wiring to the 'A' plug, B and D are the same. I don't know what i'm going to do about it though. Someone has done a pin comparison table which I downloaded. I can't vouch for it's accuracy but it looks right.

I've never had a glimpse at a wiring diagram so I couldn't say and i've only ever done really basic soldering. On your MB6 did you have the same style blue connectors as mine shown in the pic or were they OBD2 style. I forget what IAB means right now but if it's Vtec related, I don't have Vtec.

I think the differences in my 'A' plug is mainly to do with injectors and distributor

the plugs might be the same but doesnt mean the wires are in the right places. if you look in the howto section and download the manual. theres the wiring diagram in there for the mb
