Hey guys just a quick update, first off like to say thanks to everyone for the warm welcome and comments, also for the feedback on other threads I have posted, really appreciate the help! Well ive been around looking for an airbox and managed to get hold of one very local to me courtesy of weetec, thanks mate. So I got it fitted with a fresh oem panel and well was really quiet disappointed to be honest, didnt have the desired effect and also lost that beautiful crossover sound so was wounded about that, but decided to get the k&n cone filter back on bu keep half of the box in an attempt to prevent more heat soak. This did feel alot better then the oem box and also better than just having the cone filter on its own, but i still seem to have a bit of a flat spot at 2-3k and ecu was reset but still seems to be there which can sometimes really get on my nerves! may have to look into getting the resonator out and my own custom air feed in, and a new pipe for the intake too. Also I managed to spare some time to black out my grill surround,H badges and the rear numberplate strip. I really hate chrome on cars! So it had to be done asap like, not the best of jobs tbh but will be getting my rims done soon so will get the grill bits n bobs done properly too Really need the window strips done asap too they look horrible! Next up is a full service hoping to get the belts done too along with ball joins and drop links! Really looking to get the car driving smooth as possible wil need shocks too lol, the list could be endless as you guys know all too well but it has to be done! Heres a few pics.... JDM Rear light mod coming soon lol Only realised a few weeks after buying the car I had a powerflow backbox Really want to do something subtle to my dials... Any suggestions??? And as you can see my front plate has a bit missing lol, dont know if i should get a standard one or a jdm stylee? what you guys think??? heres a quick phtoshop Standard Uk JDM IMPORT STYLE 11x8 Or JDM IMPORT STYLE 12x6 Also would the two import sizes be road legal on my car? hey guys i decided to revert back to the k&n cone as i really cant live without that beautiful sound! but ive kept the bottom half of the box in place as i thought it would be better then getting pure heat soak. also reset the ecu again , don know if that actually made a difference lol but overall i think its much better then how it was when i got he car, without a box and the coe just dangling away n the engine bay! cars feeling alot more responsive below 5k now, and vtec comes in loud at 6k, louder then before i think, but deffo louder at 5k then it used to be, which i guess is a good hing thinking to get a nice intake pipe now lol.....

Hi guys i just fitted an oem vti airbox onto my civic and not really liking the change. i replaced the filter in the box too with a fresh 1 but it seems as though the car is not pushing as it used to with the k&n flter on. I cant feel the kick anymore at 6k and cant hear the vtec engage either. makes it feel as though the vtecis not kicking in. after i changed back t standard i decided to the ecu restet to by taking out the ecu and backup fuses for 10 mis then idleing for 10 mins and off but still the same feeling. Wondering if i should revert back to the k&n or not just for the noticeable kick and sound at 6k? but i hate all the heat soak im getting from the k&n but what you think i should do???
