well i think theory goes that they are for smokers, so the window can be open a bit but doesnt blow air into the car but allows smoke to go out, i just fitted them coz they look good lol hopefully they will never come off in travel been thinking about DIY rolling my rear aches hmmm... -

lol yeah i forgot that, what a day today, task was to remove the anti-roll bar droplinks, change the control arm and fit the coilover, well couldnt get the droplinks nuts off so i had to cut 1 off, the control arm bolts were a nightmare! the inner 1 was fine but the very outer 1 had been done soo tight i thought the nut had smelted to the plate but after burning it, chiseling it, hammaring it, cutting the head off and generally shouting alot i found out the entire bolt shoulder had welded into the bush but i managed to bend the plate alittle and angle it out, soo new control arm fitted, coilover and droplink fitted noticed the coilover fork moves further outward about an inch which i think helps with camber and stiffens the back up, also the control arm has 3 holes to change the anti-roll bar droplink too, i dont if it actually makes a difference ? just got to it all again tomorrow on the otherside now grr did a test fit of the wheel after dropping it for the first time check the last pic... rolling needed!! -
ahh so that could be the problem, but no post of how it was fixed lol ill have a gander tomorrow and update..

today was pretty nice for weather, so i thought id open the sunroof fully open but doesnt go back it flips up using the single switch but when u use the full open switch, it moves back about half an inch, tried wd40 the parts i can see and moved it back and forth but wont go back into the roof, Any ideas ? weak motor? jammed mechinism ? blocked ?

As above, i sold old vtis about 10 months and was gutted afterwards, so after hunting about i decided i wasnt quite done with the honda urges and bought another 1 i live in the oxford area and im cnc turner by trade Before: 86k miles import exhuast system with 4-2-1 mani which is very well designed koni adjustable dampers with lowering springs so this it so far: new repaint matt white intake.. i had these wheels to go on but they got stolen but i now i got these babies i bought thses for the old wheels but turns out i need them for the new wheels and these meisters... also got a decat pipe, 12" sub and amp in the back, uprated control arms possible adjustable rear camber arms 17mm hex wheel nuts new locking nuts ipod headunit vibe edge rear speakers new front pads recently new anti-roll bar links blue lightning headlight bulbs and few other parts to come.. hope u like and ask away about anything 1"£££$££"!!

its a blast from the past for me with that s14, mine looking excatly like that when i got, was such a fun and loud car
-
i got locking wheel nuts come in the post but as the holes in the wheels only accept a 17mm socket, i will have to trim down the locking socket a mm, ordering the 17mm hex nuts of driftworks tonight, so i should be doing a proper test fit with all the coilovers on next week!!
-
i had koni adjustable shocks with koni lowering springs and they were too bouncy and not low enough at the back, Im using meister r 91-95 ek/eh/ej2 set which fits all the same and rrp at £679, i did some real searching and theres only about 5 companys that make coilovers for the mb6 specifically, the meisters are the best i rekon.
-
Yeh a lot of hassel, I got a decat to fit too afterwards but just buying a cat and fitting it is frustrating, I've paid 39 quid already with a free test but if ur sure u will pass it is cheaper than the cost of the cat, pm me your number
-
really ? hmm this might cause a problem but if there isnt a part to adjust camber ill make one
-
hehe im hoping that they camber in and ill proby need lser alining at some point, jus got to find someone who has a arch roller, arch emeny are a bit expensive for just doing the inner lip which would take 40 mins. Cant wait to do the shows!
-
They were nicked out of my shed, been sitting waiting for me to get my coilovers for 4 months which was so soon, little b**dards. These are so sweet. i will see how much i need, the back will be the worst. proby try and get away with rolling the inner lip but ill see
