Yeah it was the offside shaft, hate to think how long it would last if I bolted a turbo to it haha

Hi all l just wandered if anyone had had driveshaft failure mines clean snapped in the middle. Just hope its nothing more sinister that could of caused it? The cars only done 62k so shouldnt snap yet surely?

Just an update. spoke to the man yesterday and he's contacted his friend who's the director of team dynamics to sort me out a new set of wheels at low price. he's told me to sell or throw the other set as there of no use to him so I'll see if a local wheel merchant will take them off my hands for a bit of cash and wait to see what he comes back with for me. at least he's done something about it I'm a lot happier now as long as my new wheels look ok too haha.

Trading standards said I have a good case regardless of time. Contacted the main supplier (rochford tyres) and they dont have and wont have any more of that type. The buisness I brought them from sold all his stock to them. I will wait till monday as I was busy today and try and get my money back if I can. if not then il have to weigh them in I suppose thanks for your help guys

I brought some alloys last year and only just unboxed them as ive been saving for the tyres ( things kept popping up and stealing my tyre fund). I got them from my uncles boss (who has since solld all his wheels to a sister company) and ive found 1 to be an 18 and the other 3 are 17. I am so p**sed off waiting so long to get them on and now I cant. Am I entitled to get him to sort it or am I stuck with them and 4 useless tyres? Any help is greatly appreciated as im going to see him tomorrow and want to be prepared. Thanks

Ok ran the car with the rad cap off and the heater on full blast, it took another litre of water in and has sorted it thanks for your help. Always tend to think the worst I've not had the best luck with cars, touchwood tho my VTI has been faultless for 2 years

I could have I suppose I just took it out for a drive and the temp is going about 3/4 then dropping but the fan isn't kicking in so could be. How would I get rid of an air lock?

Correction heater is blowing hot (just took it for a drive and seems fine so maybe nothing?

Also the engine is not overheating according to the gauge on the dash, and the blowers aren't getting hot inside

Recently my car got a bit warmer than usual, I checked and the Rad bottle was empty. I topped it up with water for the time being, I've just drained the rad and put some new coolant in let the engine run but the water doesn't seem to be circulating as the top rad pipe gets hot near to the engine but is cold at the rad. The lower pipe is also cold. Can anyone help. Its going in for a cam belt change soon 60k and didn't think the water pumps failed with so little mileage??
