Indeed but I've not seen any leaks from sunroof or windscreen. It's chucking it down outside right now so hopefully tomorrow morning I can pinpoint where the leak is.
-
Yeah mine has never worked properly either so I use the manual handle to wind it shut. But surely if it's not sealing properly the drain holes will take care of any excess water?
-
Ooh maybe that's what's happening to mine! I drove through really heavy rain on the way home earlier and there wasn't a drop of water on the inside of the windscreen seal. I'll check the tailgate tomorrow

My Civic has recently suffered from water ingress concentrated in the top corners of the roof lining above the A pillars. After searching on here I took the plastic gutters off the roof and the job underneath is mint - not a spec of rust in sight! I then took the A pillar trims and sun visors off, pulled the headlining down and checked the sunroof drain holes - mint with no leaks! I've also had a look at the metal above the top windscreen seal and cannot see any telltale signs of rust bubbling beneath it. Even more confusing is since taking the interior apart a couple of weeks ago I've not put it back together to see where the water has been getting in and it's all dried out! Where's left to check as I'm stumped?!

Hi guys, As I’ve not been on here for a while I thought I’d let you know I’m still enjoying being the proud owner of my Civic VTi! It recently had a cambelt and water pump change (@ 112,600miles) at my local Honda dealer plus an oil and filter change a few weeks ago. I’ve got it booked in to a local exhaust specialist to get the blowing exhaust manifold (DC Sports 4-1) welded up again – plus maybe add a sports cat and twin exit backbox if the price is right! J A few things on my ‘to-do’ list are: Wobbling under braking – gotta be warped discs, right?Sticky rear callipers. Thinking of getting a set of four refurbed at Bigg Redd – anyone used them?Suspension rattle over bumps on all four corners (louder since cold weather) – arb links and/or strut top rubber bushes?Full poly bush kit – this’ll be a big job and take the car off the road for at least a week so will wait till the spring when I get my MR2 back on the road.Re-seal black canister on back of engine – tried to do this at last service and it’s still leaking albeit not as badly. Any ideas how to stop it leaking or why it is leaking?Saggy roof lining – time to rob a Rover at my local scrappy!Get Integra wheels refurbished and fit back onto the carReplace front foglights. Anyone have any suggestions on aftermarket ones and how to fit them?Vtec still audible but doesn’t kick like it used to… any ideas?

Yes my car does suffer from judder so I'll order the mount you mention too. I kinda knew it wouldn't be just one that has failed as once one goes it puts excess stress on the remaining ones.
-
I've ordered a Tegiwa one on your recommendation! What's the likelihood other mounts will be worn too?
-
Ok it's not the top gearbox mount, it's the front right torque mount. I've been to every part shop in my area and none of them can get one. I also went to local Honda main dealer and they can order me one for £85! Is there anywhere else I can get one from? I've seen one on eBay but it looks poor quality

Hi just wondering how difficult it is to change the top gearbox mount on my MB6? It's been squeaking for a few months now & is probably a contributing factor into my exhaust manifold splitting.
-
I’ve just had some new tyres fitted to my original MB6 alloys (currently have ‘teg wheels on). I put one on the osf, turned it to do up the nuts and it hit something. I found it to be the new balance weight stuck to the inner rim fouling on the brake calliper. Has anyone else experienced this? Are the original alloys that close a fit to the calliper?

Ah yes I saw it on the Zircotec website - looks good!

Ooh interesting and tempting. My only concern is will I have clearance issues like I have at the moment seeing as it is for an Integra?? An option I'm looking into is getting whichever manifold I choose ceramic coated. Is anyone running a ceramic coated manifold?
-
I like the sound of lower down power. I doubt I will feel much difference day to day

Hi guys, I'm not happy with the manifold currently fitted to my Civic - a DC Sports 4-1 (designed to fit an Integra). Not only does it sit very close to the oil sump, it keeps splitting along the weld where the four branches join to one. I've had it welded once before and could get it welded again but I've lost faith in it and would rather not have to take it off once a year to get it re-welded. I also find it too 'boomy' in the cabin (I also want to change my 4" jap tip to twin 2" exit) I'd like to change to a 4-2-1 with a 2.5" collector and sports Cat. I've seen a few brands bandied about and would like your opinions on them: DC Sports ceramic coated or stainless 4-2-1 (Not sure I like the flange connecting 4-2) Tegiwa 4-2-1 Toda Racing 4-2-1 Blox Racing or Ebay specials ranging from £75 - £180...

Yup, back in Autumn the car got very toasty when the heating was on full & stayed at the normal operating temp on the gauge
